I was raised in Philly and I am laughing because I know exactly what you are talking about with Wawa. It happens with subways too. I find it kinda comforting, I don’t know. Philly has a whole array of vibes. Good and bad. Amazing city. I am a junior and am in love with UPenn! I’m glad you are loving UPenn!
@@gianniecadet4339 You can major in anything and be on the pre-med route, but I'm not sure how easy or difficult it would be. It's definitely possible tho. I think some of the premed requirements fulfill some of Penn's general requirements (i.e. sectors of knowledge for students in the college of arts and sciences), so this should make it easier to major in something like psych while also being on the premed route. I think some of the common majors for those on the premed route are bio, chem, health and societies, and biological basis of behavior (neuroscience). Sorryyyy, I honestly don't know much about being premed ://
I'm thinking of applying to UPenn but I'm slightly shy when meeting new people. I'm nervous now thinking about how I won't make friends/I'll be too nervous to approach people in the first couple of days. Just as a side note, after I get to know people and make genuine friends I seem like an extroverted person. I don't want to attend a school where social life is non-existient without joining Greek Life. I heard you mentioned that it became difficult to find parties that you could go to because they were closed off to Greek Life, but was it impossible or difficult to find one? Were you constantly/daily hanging out with friends? How many of the "friends" you made during orientation week stick to become actual friends? How easy was it to make real friends with actual hangout potential , not like saying hi when passing them? Also, is social life isolated based on the internal school? Meaning have you made any GOOD friends with kids from Wharton, and do you know if social life is completely separate between schools? Thanks for answering these. I'm really sweating about not making friends, even though everyone tells me I will. I have a great group of friends in high school, and an even larger group of people that I can talk to daily but I would never really "hang out" with by myself, but I'm really afraid that if I see a group of people talking in their dorm or on orientation day I'll be too afraid to approach them.
You will definitely make friends! It's way easier than you may think. everyone is so nice and so approachable and most people will just walk up to you and start talking haha, especially in the beginning. I wouldn't say that social life is non-existent without greek life. There are other ways to socialize on campus, like through clubs, events that the school holds, events that your college house may hold, etc. In regards to parties, in the spring they weren't impossible to find, just difficult (compared to the fall). Like if you wanted to party, you deff would've been able to find one if you looked...i just didn't care much to look. Also, social life is not isolated based on the internal school. the social scene is a mix of all students, regardless of school or year. I've made a good amount of friends in wharton. I met most of them in my dorm and through classes we've shared. You'll be meeting people across all undergraduate schools in various ways, so this shouldn't be a concern. I would say I hang out with my friends majority of the time. hmmm I wouldn't say a lot of the friends I met during orientation became my close friends, but I am still friendly with them. I did a summer program called the africana summer institute, so i kinda already had a group of friends coming into penn, which was nice. It's super easy to make real friends lol. most people are super nice, genuine, and easy to connect with. Before coming to Penn, i wasn't one to go up and approach people, like i'd consider myself to be pretty shy. buy after the first few weeks of being at penn, you kinda break out of your shell and are pushed to step out of your comfort zone. So, I wouldn't worry about making friends, you will 100% find your group of people. Hope this helps!
kinda??? Like everyone who's not in Wharton typically says that Wharton=snakes. And while there are some snakes lol, they all obviously aren't. Some of my really good friends are in Wharton :)) I guess it all depends. Sorry if this didn't really answer your question haha
Upenn is the only Ivy school that's Need-based, which means it doesn't take means into Merit Scholarships, instead they look at financial aid for students as a really important factor. So out of all the Ivy-leagues, it is the cheapest, but also pretty hard to get in.

U penn is a my dream school. Glad to hear you. It makes me confident on my decision. By the way what are you majoring in ?
yayy!! My major is psychology
@@LahNasia would you suggest that major as a pre-med route? Would it be easy to take the pre-requisite classes like bio and chem with this major?

sorry, I dont :/
Is UPenn a fun school?
I would say it's pretty fun. We're known as the social ivy :))
Compared to other ivies is this one cheaper or no
I’m honestly not too sure. I feel like most of them are in the same price range, between like $60-80k.
