Coming from Birmingham, I’ve had a soft spot for Dundee buses for a while. We swapped quite a lot between the two fleets. Will be interesting to see how the new era progresses.

@@linedriver1 The 277 to 282 were demonstrator buses for Tayside for a few years(,late 70 s to early 80s ), which Included Dennis Dominators, and MCW Metrobuses.I don't remember them that well,I'd have to think hard to remember those.

I grew up in Dundee too, Chris and remember those Tayside buses well. I'm no bus fanatic, but there was something about those Volvo Ailsa, whether that be their shape, sound, Tayside liveries... 7 & 8 Circulars at 10/12 Outer Circles from Crawford Place to Grove.
    _Them were the days, lad!_
7:22: Yep, I remember this sounding different to the rest. Why did they have only one with this engine?
Now Chris, how many of the Tayside Mark 3's still exist?

Thankyou Gary for your comment. Bus 276 WTS276T was an experimental bus. There are very very few mk3 Tayside Ailsas left. There is at least one Northern counties bodied mark 3 Ailsa (bus osn857y)left.The bus restoration group I'm in had it before it went down to Wigan for restoration

@@chrisreynolds8054 Wigan? Gosh, I live only 20 miles from there. You know who has it? May be interested in helping fund a Volvo Aisla restoration.

@@chrisreynolds8054 Many thanks for your feedback, Chris. Enjoyed watching some of your videos this afternoon. Is your Mk 3 going to be fully restored to run? One video you could do if you ever get time would be to spin through the Tayside bus blinds from start to finish. What you think?

@@Clavinovaman It was me who had Tayside 52(OSN 852Y) in Wigan. Sadly it is no more due to extensive chassis corrosion. It passed to the 4738 group for spares in 2014. The gearbox lives on in the groups London Ailsa V1(A101SUU)

Yes. No able to walk on the bus with child in it. Fold up the pram hold child put money get ticket put buggy into the luggage then sit down. Better that way
