Everest style manhood. In December 1980 I sat on the beach at Pipeline and watched the "World Bodysurfing Championships". It was very big, very messy and the beach shuddered with every wave. But that was kindergarten compared to this effort! Most people can get out off the rocks, it's getting back in that matters.
Like Free Solo on the rock face, body surfing Nazare is a testament to what a very few humans can do with talent, practice and extraordinary skill. Just getting thru the shorebreat is amazing!
