Join me on a Halloween special, featuring the infamous Pendle Witch trials of 1612. I visit the bewitching and hauntingly beautiful area of Pendle Hill, for a Halloween Hammock Camp in search of the Pendle Witches. I visit St Mary's Church in the village of Newchurch in Pendle, before heading off to the Pendle Inn to enjoy a lovely meal before heading out into the eerie and dank woodland to set up my hammock..........

Really enjoyed the history lesson and can't beat a forest camp even the scary bits , but sorry to say once that rubber mask appeared out of the dark it really went down hill after that 😢.

Brilliant video mate, I’ve woken up to some birds like that back in my youth haha. Always hear sounds out in the woods at night, I’ll never forget the first time I heard a fox scream in the dead of night, on a solo hammock camp. Had to throw my pants in the bin when I got home the next morning.

Good vid as always mate...don't want to sound like the pub bore but that wood(we won't say it's name)is dropping to bits dead fall/widow makers whatever you wanna call them I stopped camping in there a few years back plus where that ridge just behind you flattens out there's an active wiccan shrine in a clearing up there...had a decent conversation with a white dragon moon witch down cornwall this year about it and what she said will chill you to the bone...I'm a local lad happy camper and all that so no b.s. mate...anyhow keep up the good work pal atb👍😀

Hi I came across your video. Thank you for doing this. The sounds of the animal reminds of a vixen possibly? I'm currently doing research, on witch trials in England. Pendle is one of them. being so infamous. I want to go back to Pendle sometime soon. Alice Nutter I agree in part with what you said in the video because the fact that she was tried and found guilty of being witch. It is highly unlikely that she was buried in the Church grounds. However, due to her wealth and status it’s possible that she could’ve been. One has to look Anne Boleyn as she buried at Chapel Royal of St Peter ad Vincula she was accused of witchcraft. And others in similar cases and class had special dispensation. Anyhow great video and if you like if I can possible to ascertain through burial records if Alice Nutter was buried at the church, I will let you know.

It's a fantastic area though, steeped in history and bags of atmosphere - as for the pub - love it! Can't beat a post work pint! Beard is still pink but I had to sacrifice it for my Niece 🎃 have a good Halloween pal 👍
