It was amazing to see the most haunted hallowe'en special all those years ago, you could tell that the haunted experience was real as the crew literally shat themselves. They were used to making programmes and possibly exaggerating certain things but during this weekend they were dealing with things they'd never experienced before! It was hilarious and absolutely the best episode of most haunted ever to be filmed !!!
It is disgraceful the way these jokers perpetuate the myth that these women were witches. They're crime was to be poor and virtually destitute in a society obsessed with religious persecution .

As well as helping farmers treat their sick cattle . They were perscutted because they had land and just sheer fear because of their occupation. And then there was the truly little evil Jennet .... The only sinster little fecker in this story .
Derek made this program, even if he was faking, great laugh.It's not the same without him.When he staged the being possessed bit the first time he realized it intrigued everyone, next thing you know he's doing every week

In the late 1960s driving from Blackpool to Garstang to visit family we drove through the Pendle hills which we did quiet often. Nothing had ever happened before but growing up I knew about the witches nothing hit out car but the front window in our car shattered. Spooky time.
You must have gone the Scenic Route as Pendle Hill is certainly nowhere near Blackpool or Garstang. . Pendle Hill is classed as being in East Lancashire where as Blackpool West Lancashire and Garstang more Central Lancashire. Your Welcome.

Fake or not it still makes good entertainment lol. Watching Derek knowing he's a liar is brilliant. I'm sure yvette and Karl started off with good intentions but they probably soon found out that ghost hunting isn't that easy (a guess lol) and vamped it up a bit to make sure the ratings didn't go down. I love the episodes with David Wells, not sure about him but he give the show so much more credibility :)
I do look at it from a professional point of view because it is a serious subject, which people like Derek give a bad name. Imo, the show improved massively when Derek left because it was less theatrical, and the mediums' information was accurate and interesting.
I always thought that Jon the sound man was a fake after the Llanelli Live (my home town) where he went down into the basement of a manor house and you could here 'Get out!' right into the microphone and it sounded exactly like him!
The constant screaming whenever the-slightest perceived paranormal contact , seems kind of ridiculous its like saying , Hello is there anybody there? ,but please don't answer or bang a door, or heaven forbid touch one of our hysterical team members, cos they will have an instant anxiety attack and meltdown !!

Seems like a power of suggestion to me. One person felt ill, so everyone else reacted to it - subconsciously or otherwise - and people dropped like flies. They were assuming their ill feeling was due to the paranormal. There was a lot of hype, expectation, anxiety and apprehension. It's bound to affect someone physically, especially when they're in a dark environment and people are telling them there are 9 witches inside that they can't see! It's all psychological.
The farm on pendle hill was not built in 1612 .There are only five buildings surviving from the event .Lancaster City Castle. Roughlee Hall, Samlesbury hall, The home of the lister family gisburn.

I remember watching this LIVE and I was genuinely absolutely terrified. Looking back, I have no doubt there is some erie stuff going on in Pendle Hill/Tyndale Farm and alot of history and very likely something there but I do watch this now and think alot of what was happening was hysteria and everyone emotions heightened the reaction and the things that happened. I mean fair enough coz I would have been screaming my head off as well - but I think the ominous messages from Derek a s David before hand and the knowing of the history beforehand was prob a huge part to play in the drama reactions. Maybe it is and was all bullshit but I know I won't be visiting Pendle Hill anytime soon 😂😂

Some of the stuff they reported doesn't ring true, the farm on the film was not the witches meeting place its well reported that it was a place called Malkin Tower, the Demdiles lived there. I was a bit disappointed by the 2 mediums to be honest, but the rest of it something definitely happened to the crew that night
Old Mother Demdike, one of the main protagonists, behind Peg O'Nell, and then the Devices, and Southern's, it is very interesting, I have an uncle who lives in Padiham, in the shadow of Pendle Hill, I have walked on the hill, it is a foreboding place, where a sense of unease surrounds it.
When you're in that high intensity environment an anxiety attack is imminent. And they can definitely feel like you can't breathe and can't get enough air in and also make you nauseous and sick. I absolutely know from experience. That's all it was
