I think it’s more of a “one powerful being with a strong connection to life and death must stay to ensure the ardenweld is balanced” and malfurion is probably the closest one could get as a replacement for ysera given her particular position. Now that she returned to the ardenweld I’m praying malfurion will return to the kaldorei and will not be shelved indefinitely AGAIN.
He's gonna come back... but not right away. What's to say Malfurion isn't going to learn stuff in Ardenweald? He's a powerful druid; this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for him to truly understand life and death and how they intertwine, as well as the idea of rebirth.

Gilnean worgen journey started with finding safety with the night elves. When shadowlands hit I landed with the necrolords cis the soldier Inside was still holding me up. But changing covenant to go to Arden wield brought it all back to me the meaning of home. And how losing home hurts. Those plays if past events got me sobbing inside. It made me go back to GILNEAS in game to find out before even it was known on TH-cam. Making this TH-cam account is a tribute to GILNEAS. I was born a refugee. GILNEAS was the home I never had. If I ever became this worgen hunter I would defend my home till I draw my last breath. And I still will.
I feel you. The Worgen and Night Elves have such a hard story and fate. Sylvanas attacked the Worgen at the beginning of Cata and Gilneas defeated the Forsaken and Sylvanas in a glorious battle and won the war. The losses were heavy and Gilneas is blighted. The victory over Sylvanas was just possible with the help of the Alliance and mostly the Night Elves. Then Sylvanas destroyed Teldrassil and killed 1000s of innocent Night Elve and Worgen Civilians. The war in Battle for Azeroth was won after Saurfang and Nathanos died and Sylvanas flew to the Shadowlands but it could not bring enough peace for all the losses in Teldrassil. Tyrande avenged Teldrassil in Darkshore and Sylvanas was defeated in Shadowlands, while Tyrande could have just killed Sylvanas at the end of SL but doomed her into the maw to work for the souls. Yes the Horde lost, Darkshore got avenged and Sylvanas was defeated but it does not feel as enough justice. Darkshore, the death of Nathanos and Saurfang, and the defeat of the Banshee are a good start but the time will come where we will hit the Horde hard in a surprise attack just as they did with us. They lost but we will be victorious. Turalyon told us in game in Stormwind that the Alliance will one day try to take back all of our kingdoms we lost in the past (Lordaeron, Silvermoon, Gilneas, Dalaran, Alterac, etc). Stromgarde was a good start. Let us see what Turalyon and the might of the Alliance can do. The Horde is broken once again. For the Alliance! Oh and I love this game as you can see :D but I did not like the story of the last few expansions, I hope the story in the next expac will more epic again (just like Pandaria for example, it was great)

Ysera's goodbye means absolutely nothing when anyone can just take a portal to the shadowlands to see her again lmao, she can even swap places with malfurion again if she feels like taking a vacation
Yeah, the fact that we can just waltz back into the shadowlands (and have done so canonically, not just gameplay wise) really undermine these. Like malfurion staying behind is supposed to be a big deal, but Tyrande can just go there and visit whenever. They really need to have a questline where we close the portal to the shadowlands. Also, am I the only one extremely annoyed that we've basically opened the door to (what amounts to) heaven and hell, and anyone can go in, and basically nobody in azeroth gives a shit ? Like it should be such a bigger deal than it was.

They never offed him; he was replacing Ysera in the Shadowlands to keep Ardenweald balanced. They probably did that because he is very powerful, the only one who can match Ysera's anima, and they wanted to jazz the patch up so it doesn't feel like Firelands 2.0 ( which it is), so we got World Tree drama with Tyrande and the aspects this time.
We will forever remember Dragonflight as the expansion where character cutscenes were about people who stood around in groups and talked, where all characters who were not the villain had the same personality and the same slow speaking cadence, and where almost every shot was a closeup frame of someone speaking. Where nothing was ever really done, and where everything that happened was told to us instead of shown.
That's what happens when your company becomes all about diversity and not about quality How many gay dragons did you spot in DF? That would cause massive imbalances in powers between life and death. Merithra is the aspect of the Green Dragonflight, and they maintain the Emerald Dream which causes life to flourish across Azeroth. If Merithra were to cross into the Shadowlands we wouldn’t know the consequences of those actions because of her aspectral powers.
Also Bwonsamdi is technically not supposed to be in Ardenweald, but he is tolerated by The Winter Queen. He isn’t supposed to be there because he is a Loa (or a Wild God) although technically he stole his power from Mueh’zala.
@@kironet That portal isn’t fully canon, it was added as a way for players to get to Oribos. I also don’t think that portal could transport the immense power of a Dragon Aspect.
I just wish Ysera had moments with her fellow aspects. Like perhaps after the quest where she is brought back to Azeroth. Perhaps have a stay a while and listen moment in Valdrakken where she shows up and talks to her sister, Alexstrazsa and the other aspects present.
Ysera is connected with dreams, druids and the emerald dream. Alexstrasza is connected with fire, life and leadership. This is like comparing Druids with Priests and saying "but they both heal? whats the difference?"
Alexstrasza is more concerned with the physical and the idea of life. Ysera is more concerned with the ephemeral and the idea of nature. It's why the Red flight is attuned to and can breathe fire, and the green flight can breathe a cloud of poisonous gas.

To be fair, she hasn't really been given a chance to. Between Garrosh, the Legion, Sylvanas and having to see her husband go to Ardenweald (even if temporarily) she hasn't really had a chance to chill. This is the first time in a long time she's had some peace.

Blizzcon didn't hype me up for the new expansions like all the previous blizzcons did. Cinematic was boring, the stuff they discussed also seemed boring. New race(lmao). The whole expansion seems to be in a cave lol... Also pay extra so you can play on exp. launch, or don't and be 3 days(or how many) late...

None of them should be aspects…. That’s a Titan title given to them ‘Aspect of Life’ ‘ Aspect of Magic’ ‘Aspect of the Dream’ etc. They shouldn’t have gotten their coloured eyes back, the glow should’ve all been the same colour to signify their unity as one with Azeroth. I would’ve done the golden blue colour, the same colour as Azerite.

Lore-wise, the portals linked to Oribos were closed at the end of the Shadowlands expansion. No one on Azeroth has a means to access the city at this time beyond dying.

I love this dramatic development, give it a more reality tv twist. I love it! To be honest, lore has been shot to shit since The Burning Crusade, so it doesn't matter at this point. The only mistake I'd point out is that that's not a love triangle, love triangles love each other as much as the next, there's is no resentment, all sides of said proverbial triangle are made of love, implying that 'Illifurion' would also be in love, which also implies incest, and now it's weird xD But yeah, not a love trinagle, just jealousy.
You know what's really bad about this? Malfurions last words were not some piece of druidic wisdom to support his love. It was not even something basic but charming like "I love you, Tyrande" His last words were: "You are stunning and brave, and way more important than me". His own death can't even be about the character, but to underline someone else. Way to swipe the character under the rug, Blizzard

Ysera's goodbye means absolutely nothing when anyone can just take a portal to the shadowlands to see her again lmao, she can even swap places with malfurion again if she feels like taking a vacation
Yeah, the fact that we can just waltz back into the shadowlands (and have done so canonically, not just gameplay wise) really undermine these.
Like malfurion staying behind is supposed to be a big deal, but Tyrande can just go there and visit whenever. They really need to have a questline where we close the portal to the shadowlands.
Also, am I the only one extremely annoyed that we've basically opened the door to (what amounts to) heaven and hell, and anyone can go in, and basically nobody in azeroth gives a shit ? Like it should be such a bigger deal than it was.

They never offed him; he was replacing Ysera in the Shadowlands to keep Ardenweald balanced. They probably did that because he is very powerful, the only one who can match Ysera's anima, and they wanted to jazz the patch up so it doesn't feel like Firelands 2.0 ( which it is), so we got World Tree drama with Tyrande and the aspects this time.
He was never dead. He just took her place in Ardenweald until she could return.
We will forever remember Dragonflight as the expansion where character cutscenes were about people who stood around in groups and talked, where all characters who were not the villain had the same personality and the same slow speaking cadence, and where almost every shot was a closeup frame of someone speaking. Where nothing was ever really done, and where everything that happened was told to us instead of shown.
Also breathing needs to be subtitled.

Merithra should befriend Bwonsamdi so that he can open the portal to Ardenweard for her to meet Ysera frequently.
That would cause massive imbalances in powers between life and death. Merithra is the aspect of the Green Dragonflight, and they maintain the Emerald Dream which causes life to flourish across Azeroth. If Merithra were to cross into the Shadowlands we wouldn’t know the consequences of those actions because of her aspectral powers.
Also Bwonsamdi is technically not supposed to be in Ardenweald, but he is tolerated by The Winter Queen. He isn’t supposed to be there because he is a Loa (or a Wild God) although technically he stole his power from Mueh’zala.
While we have a portal to Shadowlands in our capital cities lmao

@@kironet That portal isn’t fully canon, it was added as a way for players to get to Oribos. I also don’t think that portal could transport the immense power of a Dragon Aspect.
I just wish Ysera had moments with her fellow aspects. Like perhaps after the quest where she is brought back to Azeroth. Perhaps have a stay a while and listen moment in Valdrakken where she shows up and talks to her sister, Alexstrazsa and the other aspects present.

Ysera is connected with dreams, druids and the emerald dream. Alexstrasza is connected with fire, life and leadership. This is like comparing Druids with Priests and saying "but they both heal? whats the difference?"
Alexstrasza is more concerned with the physical and the idea of life. Ysera is more concerned with the ephemeral and the idea of nature. It's why the Red flight is attuned to and can breathe fire, and the green flight can breathe a cloud of poisonous gas.

It was an exchange and a bracer was used to allow the swap. Once she goes back she can take up the bracer and send him back alive and well.

So basically they brought Ysera back for one expansion, did the crap with Malf (not complaining, at least they got him out of the way for an expan) and did absolutely nothing of any consequence with her lol. What a waste, they could have just not bothered and it would have had zero impact on the expan, hell it may have been better to have the dev energy elsewhere.

None of them should be aspects…. That’s a Titan title given to them ‘Aspect of Life’ ‘ Aspect of Magic’ ‘Aspect of the Dream’ etc. They shouldn’t have gotten their coloured eyes back, the glow should’ve all been the same colour to signify their unity as one with Azeroth. I would’ve done the golden blue colour, the same colour as Azerite.

I love this dramatic development, give it a more reality tv twist. I love it! To be honest, lore has been shot to shit since The Burning Crusade, so it doesn't matter at this point.
The only mistake I'd point out is that that's not a love triangle, love triangles love each other as much as the next, there's is no resentment, all sides of said proverbial triangle are made of love, implying that 'Illifurion' would also be in love, which also implies incest, and now it's weird xD But yeah, not a love trinagle, just jealousy.

Malfurions last words were not some piece of druidic wisdom to support his love. It was not even something basic but charming like "I love you, Tyrande"
His last words were: "You are stunning and brave, and way more important than me". His own death can't even be about the character, but to underline someone else.

That talking could've been used in that boss room after Fyrakk died, and the cinematic could've been something else, something better than 3minutes of talking.
I don't mind the talking and story, I do mind when that was wasted on lazily put together cinematics.
