Which is a safer option for City? 4 airbags with no sunroof or 6 airbags with sunroof. I'm confused whether to go for V CVT or ZX MT. Transmission is secondary. First I need to make sure that my child sitting in child seat is safe. I feel the sunroof does impact the overall strength of the car. A hole in the roof would make it easier to crumple
I kind of second your opinion. Having a sunroof should compromise the overall strength. Infact the sunroof provided is quite a flimsy one. The thing that makes me think all this is just a hoax is cos most of the luxury vehicles come with a sunroof yet they’re safe. But I don’t think it’ll be fair for Honda to be compared with those cars as the level of materials used in those cars would be different from the CITY. I personally own the VMT variant and I think 4 airbags without a sunroof should be just fine. Hope this helps. Shubham.
@@ShubhamSainii Thank you for your response. Sunroof is indeed a hoax and unfortunately it is not going away soon. About the transmission, they only provide CVT for the test drive. So I haven't driven an MT yet. Since my usage is not much I'm planning to go with MT. How's your experience with it. How big is the difference between the 2 as far as performance is concerned? Not many appreciate CVT performance.
@@Blue_Rider23 I have driven both. I have the manual and a friend of mine has the hybrid. If you do not drive often in heavy city traffic then ofcourse save the extra money and go for the manual. Talking about performance of both transmission options: If I talk about myself, I do like to take my car out for a spin every now and then just for the heck of it. But how many times have I floored the accelerator to go to that 7000 RPM. I think maybe 10 times in my entire tenure with this car. Most of the times, all I need is when I press the pedal the car should accelerate good enough and I should not find myself looking for power. In that regard, both the manual and CVT is the same. However, it’s a boon to drive an automatic in heavy traffic. The rubber band effect most of the TH-cam fraternity talks about, it is there ofcourse. But you will only feel it when you try that 7000 RPM thing with it. It’ll fail you there. But again, how many times would you do that. It’s not a toy obviously. So CVT adds a lot of convenience to the package. Only if you’re a regular traffic jam person. Otherwise go for the manual. While accelerating, the car will go ballistic if you are on a lower gear. That won’t happen with the CVT. It’ll give you a linear performance through out. That’s why ppl may find it boring. CVT accelerates with such stealth that you would be surprised that you’re already cruising on high speeds. In a manual you will feel every bit of it. So manual is more fun when compared to the CVT. But CVT is more practical and better for everyday use. Sorry for the long story. 😄 Best, Shubham.
@@ShubhamSainii Thank you for such detailed response. I really appreciate it. I really liked the CVT when I drove it, I'm from Mumbai so I know it's going to be a boon in traffic. Though I work from home and don't have to drive much on weekdays. I'm trying to restrict my budget to 16 as I think it's already an overkill for my usage. V CVT I really like but I almost feel guilty for not having the airbags for the kid. With VX I have no choice but to go for the manual. With automatic an added advantage is that wife can also drive if need be.
@@Blue_Rider23 I work from home myself as of now so I don’t mind my manual car. But once this arrangement is done with, I’ll definitely miss an automatic. 4 airbags are good enough. If your wife can lend you a helping hand and can drive you around if you get an automatic then by all means get it. If you go on trips, she could drive too. V CVT shud be a good choice for you guys.

Both are good cars. You need to get your priorities right. Creta has more feel good features while Elevate has Honda brand and good old 1.5 ivtec which will translate into more resale value. If you are planning for CVT, Honda is better.

You did not tell the service interval? I think service interval is 6 months. So, 7000 once in every 6 months which is 14000 per year which is very very costly for this segment and size.
Hello, great video. I've a question.. Does Honda allows customer to go inside the service bay area? Looks like you recorded the video there.. I'm asking this because maruti didn't allow me in the shopfloor... Looking forward to your response.. Thank you
Yes indeed. I have mentioned this point in the video as well. I don’t like this about Maruti. If it’s my car, I shud get to see what’s happening to my car. Here with Honda I like this transparency. You can either sit in the lounge and read magazines or be with your car while it’s getting serviced.

Ground clearance not issue for me much as u told thoda hi difference hota hai ...but abhi floods bhi aate hai or elevate ka music system City se better hai ... wat will be you're suggestion... City or elevate
Those first generation issues are quite minimal when it comes to Honda. However, they maybe still present in the Elevate, only time will tell. When the new CITY was launched, there were rattling noise issues. So even if the Elevate is perfect, I'd still be skeptical and suggest you to wait a bit before you buy. Let the user reviews come so the issues could be highlighted. There is not everything one can judge from a test drive. CITY's ground clearance is certainly ample. When it comes to flooded roads, I'd say it does put me in an uncomfortable space. BUT, the car performs extremely well and it hasn't stalled even once. I am talking from very recent experience. Being said that, if I would have been in an Elevate, I won't have been uncomfortable. Given that I have taken the car on flooded roads lately, I am pretty sure now that it can take on such roads to a certain extent. Dekho bhai music system is something that.can be upgraded easily so I won't base my decision on that. Also, if budget is not an issue, then you may go for the Elevate Top Model, however, if you are looking to get a base variant or a mid variant like me then I'd suggest you go for the CITY as it will pack more features in the lower variants. Hope this helps. Shubham :)
