  • I drive a lot of different Cadillac models and the 2018 CTS V-Sport (www.cadillac.c...) may be my favorite. It has just the right combination of a good size, a luxurious interior, every possible piece of safety and driver aid tech available and a great performance driving experience.
    This is the Premium Luxury Trim edition, with the 3.6L twin turbo V6 engine giving you 420 horsepower. There's an 8-speed transmission and performance goodies like magnetic ride control and magnesium paddle shifters. This test car also had the optional performance exhaust system (which sounded amazing) and a sumptuous full-leather interior.

    Excellent Job on the Cadillac review Fred, you have a very positive and likeable personality and most importantly, you were very thorough with the interior and exterior features as well as all the bells and whistles. And thanks for Punching it so we could hear the exhaust and see the acceleration of the twin turbos winding up. I’m subscribing to your channel and will let all my friends and family know about your channel as well for car reviews. Again, Great Job!!!

    You really said a base model has a V4. You can’t honestly expect people to take you seriously after that can you??

    • @FreddySherman
      @FreddySherman  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you might be confused. Yes, the base model CTS in 2018 had a 2.0L turbo-charged inline-4 engine.
      Thank you for watching the video and for leaving a comment. Please subscribe, I plan to review the new Escalade later this month.

      I came to comment that exact thing. You lost me at V4 and I had to stop and comment after you said the V had the same engine as the ZR1. You mispronounced Z06.

    WOWZER, twin-turbo! The muscle sounds great with that Hair Band metal soundtrack. Love the dual sunroofs and the exterior lines. Sadly the interior is very American so it's lacking interior pizazz. The backseats are garbage. Bravo Freddy, great video.

      Yes, I tend to agree. This car in this trim is all about the engine, almost 500 hp from a twin turbo V6!! This one also had the performance suspension, Brembo brakes and other track features.

    All new CT5 coming in a year, taking the place of ATS and CTS.

    • @FreddySherman
      @FreddySherman  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      They need it, the ATS and CTS are too similar.

      They might make the CT4 which would replace ATS

      Yes, it's weird the ATS and CTS are very similar in size. I would like to see a XT5 V-Series.

    Only thing I don't like about this, is no headroom

    • @FreddySherman
      @FreddySherman  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching. It has a weird interior. I don't like the raised floor in the rear seating area. That's why they need a CT8-V!

      @@FreddySherman thank you for posting. I sold caddies a few years back. People always had the expectation that they would be roomy inside. I'm 5 10 and felt claustrophobic at times in caddies, even the Escalade. I'd have customers show up that were 6'2" and just bitch about the headroom in the cts.

    • @JamesAMG
      @JamesAMG 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Only headroom issue is in the back seat. And that doesn’t matter to me as I drive the car. Headroom in the front is great.
      I do agree a car of this size should have a roomier back seat, but there are plenty of other options available if back seat room is a priority. For me I am the only person ever in this car and it’s amazing.

    • @MW-bi1pi
      @MW-bi1pi 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am over 6', my son is 6' 3"1/2 and neither have headroom problems. We lower the seat enough to feel enveloped by the car and not sitting up way to high. I like the seating position. The back IS a little tight however. This car handles like a sports car. It's big but maneuvers quick and light in traffic. The Alpha chassis remains the best in the world.
