Honestly for me it‘s fine. The fact that you don‘t get it outside chapter 6 normally and yet you can unlock it. You don’t need 4 cycles, just 3. Once you beat Erlang on 2 and 3 you can spend the point right away. You need 2 cycles to craft all weapons regardless, up until the secret of chapter 5(where you can beat Erlang straight after theoretically not starting chapter 6 yet if you wish).
I wish the Wukong Stance was permanent and mapped to the down arrow. Let the Somersault Cloud be an R2+ combo/item like a particular item needed for a side quest in chapter 3. Here's to hopin' it gets patched or at least shows up in the expansions.
For the dark iron staff, you can craft it once you get to your first shrine in ng+. That is assuming you have the materials to do so, specifically the iron horns. If you didn't craft any of the set you can craft it right off the bat.
@@francisnoble-kv6gs Nah, helmet and chest also cost some materials. But tbh you can totally use a Yaksha set with a lot of defense and the dark iron staff. Did that all my first NG+ till I got the bull king armor. And both are really strong depending on your playstyle. But focus on the staff first haha. There's a lot of option to build defense without the full set.
No it’s not the beginning. You must get to chapter 5 and complete it till a certain section (the final fight) I believe. You cannot access it in your NG+ run until that point.
Dark Iron staff just needs the 1st NG+ cycle.. cos 1st play through you get 4 horn materials.. 3 from secret beast boss in chapter 5 and 1 in a golden box just before this beast boss, in a hall way where there is a spirit bull with other minions of his.. total 4 per playthrough and all in chapter 5 itself.. So basically 4 from 1st playthrough if you dint miss the golden box before the final beast boss area of course & 4 again in NG + which helps you craft full bull king armor and the black iron staff.. I already made it yesterday during my stream.. the damage is insane lol with full armor set and staff along with things which boost defense up..
You can actually put the relic point in the 6th Relic in as soon as you defeat Erlang Shen in NG+. You don't have to wait until your next playthrough. That only applies to your first playthrough as you don't have the relic until you start your first ng+.
You can experience both bad and good ending on your first play through before starting new cycle. Beat wukong first to get bad ending. Once the game credits screen completed, you can choose to continue your game and head to fight Erlang assuming that you have unlocked his temple shrine area during your chapter 3 play through. Once you beat Erlang, you will unlock 6th relic and choose your one mind option or whatever you choose to fight wukong again. The game will reset your fight with wukong to the point where you have to head up the mountain again. This way you only need to play 3 full cycle of true ending to max out all your 6 relics (18 slots). NG+ and NG ++ you only need to fight Erlang before wukong. It will unlock your 6th relic slots each time you have defeated Erlang.
I really struggled the first time he's such a bitch it's actually easier to beat him the second time because you can have better gear and life saving strand , first time must have took me like 40 tries
use maxed out spell binder passives - wukong set - smash stance tree . I was stuck on him too and then all of a sudden I switched to spell binder and did massive damage on every 4 focus smash
@@Alyasiry87 Yeah, that's where I think everyone struggles. That's why the smash stance is so good because you can charge your smash while moving if you put points into the smash tree passives. Keeping your distance and charging the smash also gives you a lot of breathing room and space to dodge his attacks that are usually long range or big aoe.
Took me 2 tries to beat sage broken shell, used stone monkey transformation, mirage pills, dodging, mythical spirit frog, the fan to stagger him and get some combos for focus point build up, and just went In on him.
I just wish the wukong stance was a permanent unlock even in a standaard new game. And you just press down and dont matter the armor and weapon you have equipped. And actually get the moveset of fhe empty shell boss
Just adding in when u beat the secret battle u get the relic right after so you don’t have to wait to start ng+, just go to your relics when your done with the secret battle
FYI - if you stack x3-x5 gold spike plate curio plus the wandering spirit AND use either the grey great sage set or Iron Bull you can boost the attack by the Iron Bull staff by almost 200. Like 200 more than it already has. The damage this staff puts out is ridiculous especially if you roll spell binder. To get x5 gold spike plates you will need to do NG ++++ and by then you unlock the Wukong stance permanently so that overhead smash stance attack can pretty much 1 tap.
You can do an instant attack in thrust stance with fully charged focus if you roll and and press heavy while not in a combo string. Can you showcase this? I haven't seen anyone talk about it yet

I beat Sage’s broken shell first because I got tired of erlang kicking my ass and went back for the last time and beat him,… afterwards I started a new cycle and realized I had the last relic. So NO, it doesn’t have to be in order.
Ok wait a second; unless it was patched out I remember having wukong stance my first playthrough once I put on the full armor set & staff. The reason I even remember this is because it was overriding my ability to change between the 3 stances and was messing me up so I had to take a piece of gear off which seemed to undo it. I thought it was just a feature of the gear/ being in the final act.
The stance should’ve been added after the first play through or maybe second at most I just made it to ng+ and I don’t know if I can run this game back 3 times just for a 1 minute burst attack now if they had added the feature to add more time to the stance after every ng+ run is have more motivation to run the game back
Yeah I didn’t know I had to do the secret ending again to pick a perk on the sixth relic That killed the game for me at the moment I was on my 3rd play through
I just hit chapter five in ng plus, love this game it's great . Unfortunately I don't think they scaled very good in ng plus or I'm just way overpowered. I've deleted every boss so far way too easy. Not even one of those super builds you keep seeing, just my same build from the base game. Not talking trash on the game because I love it, I guess I just wish it was a little more challenging.
How many ng+ are there? I’m on +3, I am max level, got plat, and just beat erling shen again for my final relic. Only thing left to do is beat the game and I’m completely done as I also have all curio slots. Was wondering if there was a limit to ng+, or if it’s endless.
Still sad that they took out the infinite mana glitch. It wasn't hurting anybody. It's not like we are doing player versus player matches. We're just versing the NPCs if we don't want to do the glitch. We don't have to do the glitch but there's no reason to take it out of the game. It actually made the character extremely accurate. Now here I am on New game. Plus I can't make it past the secret final boss and the original endgame boss.

No you do not need to go into your fourth playthrough for Wukong stance. Just do the true ending and beat the great sage. Then go and continue your journey and you will have wukong stance without needing to go into new playthrough. I've done it myself and stopped at ng++ with 100% everything.

Do the true ending and beat great sage go back to any other chapter use enhanced ginseng pellet for 4 focus or ring of fire and you will see the mark on the focus bar. There is no need for a new cycle. So go debunk your debunk. Dumb dumb. Try it yourself and see

As far as the waking stance, playing 4 cycles just to get it isn’t worth the time.

after erlang fight, the last area near jingubang staff is not spawning or the cut scene plays, is it a bug

That's what I'm at now with NG+4. I have 3 of those gold spikes. Base attack is like 275 or something and with spell binder it's 300 something.
