@@DanielC__ That first boat was terrifying to watch. That skipper had no trim or throttle control. Everyone on that boat should have been wearing life jackets in those sea conditions. Or people in the bow PERIOD. Bowriders are pretty much always dangerous. A dumb invention. I worked at Thunderbird/Formula and know boats. The first issue, is that in bowriders the deck slopes downward, so waves come over the bow. THEN, instead of washing off a deck and windshield, they simply flood the boat. An acquaintance in California a couple of years ago at age 28 (I am 70) was riding in the bowrider....the idiot 'captain' hit a boat wake while turning...tossed the fellow out and he went under the boat and thru the prop. Dead. Bowriders are for amateurs.

Same here. Grew up with a ship captain for a father spent my entire youth on the water while he taught me how to navigate tide/wind through cuts like this. Made the same comment about the Robalto up thread. He used his throttle to perfection, text book boss. That idiot in the Regal just kept his throttle static and scooped up 55 gallon drums of water. Guy had no business attempting those conditions.
@@DanielC__ My buddies dad was a navy captain and I spent some time on his boats throughout the years. My friend is a great pilot due to growing up on the water. Some of these people don't belong on a pontoon let alone a powerboat.
This is a situation for a bass boat only.
@@DanielC__ That first boat was terrifying to watch. That skipper had no trim or throttle control. Everyone on that boat should have been wearing life jackets in those sea conditions. I also don’t consider a bow rider to be a rough water boat. A cabin boat provides a bulwark against the sea and there is less chance of green water coming into the boat. Obviously Florida boaters clearly disagree, given the large number of bow riders and centre consoles you see here. Where I live a 2 to 3 metre swell is pretty common, so open boats aren’t a great choice.
When I first bought my 24 f boat someone who new I was a new sailer wanted me to go to this inlet. Then, my son 10 y/o told me it was not safe. I reviewed videos with him and then I realized that no matter the age of your family but the size of the boat.
that first boat was WAY over the capacity limit
Not to mention to much weight in front of the boat for those seas
Boats like that are meant to hold about 6-9 people but then again they probably didn’t bring enough life jackets and or was probably a lot of weight. So what we looking at is the smaller version of titanic 3
Finally someone who also noticed it.
Thw waves were too big for such a boat, and there were too many ppl on it. Skipper is clearly incapable
@@thequietkid28 that boat has a weight limit of 900lb of people, i know because i have the same exact boat lol
Sue Wolfe- Oh so many memories of going through Haulover Inlet! It's where Biscayne Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean. The waters can be pretty choppy without " choppy" seas!!
“Sees bow full of water and just sits there” human logic
Yeah. He was thinking ‘I’ll ride it out, it can only get better’
What an absolute donk of a captain. I hope his friends and family never let him live that down.
He's no captain.
@@RicArmstrong How is a prick like that even allowed to drive a boat?
@@InGear10 His name is on the rental agreement...
"captain"?
@@InGear10
If he was born before 1970, the coast guard doesn't require any license to drive a boat.

_There is a thin line between being daring & being dumb, the grown-ups crossed that line that day_ 🚤
What a “carry on”. The sea always looks so calm, and the boat so big, when your alongside the quay, but out at sea, it all changes.
Ombaknya menyenangkan sekali bro... 👍
Love the person with their radar on, on a bright sunny day.
That's a radar? I thought it was a gyroscope stabilisation anti capsize device that was running too slow
Interesting to see how the weight is distributed with each boat to how hard n easy they get through the waves.
Darwin knew what he was talking about…
👌🏴😎
10:08 we've got the boat equivalent of the walk of shame
The Intrepid had their trim and speed right. Notice how the stern enters water first coming off a wave, reduces impact of the bow on entry.
Great video guys.
I have no idea what you are talking about. Apparently neither do these boat owners 🤷🏻♂️
The kid at the front had me on edge omgggg!!!!! I was holding my breath in panic 🙀 🙈
I've never leaned left so hard in my life while watching a video! I'm almost falling over here yelling LLLEEEEFFFTTT MOOVE LEEEFFTT!!
😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 me 2 I was holding my phone like a Nintendo controller jumping man eating pipe plants, squat sliding under chains of spinning balls of fire. I knew I screwed when KupaKaptain hit hard & knocked me to the bow of the boat. 😂😂😂😂
My friends always made jokes about me wearing my life jacket all the time on the boat until they witnessed someone drowning and realized that it’s not funny when you don’t make it back home after a day on the lake....
I always put mine on to, everyone can swim unless you get knocked out. I fish shallows and there are rocks, old pear beams and god knows what else just inches under the water line. If you go over and head first into
Something you wont be swimming then.
@@JeepTrailsandBarbells Now i always put jacket on and pin the keys to my jacket
@Stellvia Hoenheim hahahahha
The water is very unforgiving. Making a mistake in the water might be your last.
@Ysabelle Chanel yep i would rather have people laugh at me and make fun for being safe, then looking cool as hell when im drowning.
Nothing cool or bad ass about drowning from being more concerned about what people think over your safety.
Looks like they having fun 😎
Silently watching these Haulover Inlet vids is a Zen-like form of therapy. Helps me grok humanity at it’s finest.
Captain's briefing.."Some of you may die, but it's a sacrifice I am willing to make."
🤣🤣
Lol
Zapp Brannigan?
The lil midget from the movie Shrek why did me reading that I heard his voice lol 😂
For the greater good of joy riding, some lives have to be lost. Just Saying.
You playing with life 😎
The crazy thing is they all know how rough the water is and yet not 1 child is wearing a lifejacket. There is not much thinking going on here.
It’s amazing to me how so many boats go through Haulover with the motor trimmed down with people in the bow.
You don’t really expect these guys to know what motor trim is do you?
@@jalbert222 Spoken like a true Formula lover. Awesome boats. I was a Thunderbird dealer in the 1970’s when big deep bow riders dominated the Thunderbird line up. Some of the best riding boats of all time but really slow. Haha.
Wow, a 1970's T-Bird dealer. Where was your dealership? I was in Miami in the early 70's, Director of Advertising. At the time, worked with the Sales Dept....Dave Gilmore and Tom Abbott. Familiar names?

I am really enjoying the show
In the inland waters where i operate if you fall in you die if you don’t have a pfd. And the water’s cold enough to kill even with a pfd. Watching these folks is shocking.
Yeah man well, welcome to Miami, where most are as brute as a wild gorilla
I sail the biggest lake on the planet. Wearing a life jacket is useful for finding the body.
Lake Superior?... That water, even in August, will crack your fillings.
Called having more dollars than sense
@@hughn Yep, motors on, jackets on.
This is like watching Dateline. When the one ends you want to change it until the next one comes on then your sucked right into watching another one....
That Intrepid really slices right through them waves. Impressive machine.
What I've learned from these video's: Just because one own's an expensive vessel doesn't necessarily mean one knows how to operate said vessel. Don't believe that? Keep watching.
Everybody wants to be a Captain until it is time to do Captain shit
It angers me to see people without their life jackets on. A cop just died a week ago in my hometown for trying to save a kid who didn’t wear a life vest. Him and the child died. Just wear it!
Why does it anger you ? These idiots are more amusing than anything. In fact I wish there were knuckleheads to this level on the water in my area, great entertainment.
U right and if u can see on all video no one is wearing one.
Hi Serena.
OMG!!really sad...Life Jacket is a must!!
5:15 Wow! Someone that knows how to trim a boat and what speed to drive it! I did not think that possible at the Haulover.
Still looked rough on the knees. Lol
@@trippsmclovin Well, it is still the Haulover. You can subdue the Haulover, but never dominate it.
How did he trim it?
@@indridcold8433 I'm just glad my inlet is only that rough during hurricanes😅. (Port Canaveral,FL off the ICW)
@@krisb-travel trim should be up at least a few adjustments higher than usual. Keep the bow up so it keeps you from duck diving under the big waves. Good luck out there bud! Be safe, never overload your boat and PAY ATTENTION! Just like on the road, people enjoy riding like idiots.
Watching that first boat (Regal) come back in… all 11 passengers including the captain have PFDs on and are escorted by the Rescue PWC. At least he had all the required PFDs.
I don't think he did. You don't see a single yellow in the beginning of the video. It even looked like they lost one or two to the sea.
Love how the adults seemed to lean toward the list and try to play it cool.
Nice share👍
2:48 it's going to feel real good when that lure swings around and hooks someone's eye.

The first one was like a thriller show
Love his commitment to the Darwin Award 🥇
My husband did that to us too. Oh boy is so scary🙈I screamed all the time.
Nothing is dinner here than a Jetski. Jetskis don’t care about waves.. been here on 9’ foot waves and it super fun.. boats are a brake your knees here.. lol
I hear about PWC's. The bigger the wave the more fun it is. As long as you have good watertight seals on your compartments, they are incredibly hard to take water/sink.
Ps, Biden is way too stupid and forgetful to be the devil. He's a puppet tool of evil people that most likely worship the devil.
I always love the people that are dressed like they won’t get wet 😂
And I think the guy in the eventually flooded forward section of the boat was busy the whole time trying to take pictures. No wonder boat insurance is high, some boaters are oblivious to risks
Lol! Right! 😁😁😁
Thank you for your video
Good to see the family reunion boat most all wearing horsecollar jackets (including the road rage driver) being trailed by the safety patrol. They made it back safely; hopefully with many Lessons Learned???
Now he’s gotta go wakeboarding with all that extra ballast

Incredibly RECKLESS to be going that speed in rough waters, no less with children with NO LIFEJACKETS
Holy sheet! How can you be so irresponsible with other peoples' lives?? Came dam close to swampin it! 0:20
Notice how they're all wearing life jackets on the return trip. 10:30
Exactly!👏🏾👏🏾
Too rough for having a good time fishing- I'd wait for another day. Getting rocked to death for hours isn't fun to me, but some of these folks probably need to go out in this for learning and experience. Any boater should get wave time because you never know when the weather may suddenly change and you want to be able to know how to handle your boat in all conditions. Some of these people need someone to help them it seems- especially the boat with 12 people in it and taking on water. That's just stupid.
Good video 👍💥👍
