Been going the old lady for 51 years still got my season ticket , like my second home remember my Dad carrying me over the turnstiles, remember going to watch Alan Ball play for England at Goodison, remember going to watch Newcastle v Nottingham forest in fa cup tie played at Goodison after Toon fans invaded pitch at St James, remember Brazil v Japan Ronaldo Carlos and Co. And of course the great 80s team and all the great games, and Frank's great win v Palace what a night.
Be plenty of tears the last game at Goodison that's for sure 💙

I was also at the FA Cup game between Newcastle and Forest. I was in the Steet end with all the Geordies. They got beat in the final by some club whose name deserts me.😂
I've got some bits to add. The original Park End stand and the old main stand were built in 1909. The bullens road came in 1926. The Glwadys Street was supposed to be rebuilt at the same time, but didnt happen until 1938.
The reason for this, was due to houses on the street needing to be demolished, and one first world war veteran who refused to be moved out of his house. So , that stand wasn't redeveloped until he'd passed away in 1938.
You can see the orignal stand as late as 1932 in a Pathe reel of an FA Cup game.

Regarding the water plant it won't be used on match days so no stink unlike Anfield which stinks of piss
How's they managing to do that? Just divert the flows to Anfield?
The city of Liverpool sewage is already diverted to anfield

The last bit was funny Must have been a rednoses scouse whit At time of this Everton have just played Liverpool 0-0 .A great game yes great and 0-0 As was the 1984 Cup Final at Wembley that was 0-0 .Truly great games . I once saw a 0-0 against Wolves in the 70s another great game .I hope we get a 0-0 at Arsenal next that would be a great result. ill keep it civil...goodison park holds 38 k yet we have 31 k season ticket holders and is full every week and weve currently got an18 k season ticket waiting list ...and as you said yourself..the views are limited with no option or room to upgrade the current site and so is limiting the finance ! why should we stay then ???
You raise some good points with regards to finances and capacity for season ticket holders. I guess my point is Goodison Park is particularly of historical significance it just seems a shame that all of will be lost when they move to a new ground, but if the Everton fans think it's a good move then fair enough.
Oh y oh y did u not mention to horrible top main stand, always wondered how that view is like and how u even access it considering its floating above the large bottom main stand
I think the fact the roof is sloped doesn't really do any favours, most roofs (for cantilevered stands) are relatively flat offering better views. Surely it just adds the the character of the ground though haha.

I have had lots of great times at Goodson, plenty of bad ones too. We have to move, finances dictate that is a must, however the new stadium looks huge and impressive. Saying that I would have liked Goodson to be redeveloped but it’s too late and we move on. COYB
Yeah I mean there's certainly reasons for the move, it's just a shame that all that football history which Goodison has will be lost.
