I like to PvP, and PvE on ARK Ascended. Usually beating maps under an ARK challenge. Unlocking the ending cinematics is easy with no cheats needed anymore, and usually on a server, official or unofficial, I'm not fussed. Single Player is great though, certainly with a guide for any platform be it xbox, ps4, ps5, pc, it's great. Sometimes play some wild mods, and usually post patch/update. But a survival game needs some community news and that's what I do, giving you the latest on events, maps, maybe even premium mods and official usually covering all maps from Island, Scorched Earth, Aberration to Extinction, Gen 1 & Genesis Part 2. And one day. ARK 2!

I love my eyes burning when in the rock drake areas because it’s so bright. Absolutely amazing for being in the bottom of the map which should be the darkest

Maybe it uses the same theory as deep ocean? the deepest parts of the ocean actually have bioluminescent animals that glow due to lack of light.
I'm definitely warming up to the new look. Some sweet building locations.

Its been 1 Day and you already made 2 taming guides, gave a tips and tricks video, tested reapers, tested the new robot and made a video on the steampunk items. Holy
One change I noticed as an underwater tribe is that charge batteries in underwater cryofridges would last indefinitely in A:SE but in A:SA they last around 3 hours before running out; though you can use wind turbines or tek generators for power underwater and dyeing your cryofridge black keeps it from shining.
I'm curios, how does an underwater tribe even work. Do you have tek chambers or you just need to go up for air every time?
I wonder too is it only late game?
@@nuotatorre8741 one thing for sure is there's a lot of lazarus chowder! Many structures don't function in the water but underwater caves fix that aspect. Couple of thousand chowder stocked up between us all since it's more convenient than scuba and lets you wear good flak rather than using tek. Easy prime and prime fish meat & when the Archelon comes out, it might passively produce a mutton-like food for herbivores that we're excited for.

Some just find it relaxing farming the abyss trench on the center map and you get lots of crystal and metal there; plus decent alpha dino xp to get a chibi pet your bonus five levels from killing mosa and squids. The visual from wearing scuba masks can be annoying though so entering console command r.fog 0 to make water clear turned out to be the most popular alternative people do.

...Cue Alpha Bas at portal, Bas at EACH of the other "Easy" spawns, and about nine thousand (slight hyperbole but boy it felt bad) Yi Ling ALL over the 'Edge' and 'Mushroom Forest' spawns.

I think I died about 25 times before giving up and building a small base as HIGH as I could get over the lake, near the supply drop.
On the way back down two basilisks spawned.

I'm a new player and this map is definitely VERY unique. What changed about it that's made it not in your eyes?
No flying wasn't harder just sucked. And once u got the rock drake that was pretty much the same as flying. Dont really take long to ninja an egg either. No access to the terminal actually hurt people more. The constant no light spawns were fun at first but get boring fast also.
New player here! Yes, we do. I've played for a week and love the variety of maps because each one feels like a different challenge, and while aberration feels the hardest so far, it looks stunning, and has some of the coolest dinos I've seen so far.

It's unbearable on console, every 10 steps your game tries to reload and has massive frame drops, not playing this until it's actually playable. L devs
What console? And solo or server? I'm playing solo on series s and I've been having fun so far

I played on ps5 for 40 minutes flying around on fly command exploring the map and never had any problems w devs
Ps5 working fine, doesn’t lag with gameplay but my inventory lags 🤷♂️

here is a list of every gene:
(STAT) robust - offspring more likely to inherit the higher stat of both parents
(STAT) frail - offspring more likely to inherit the lower stat of both parents
(STAT) Mutatable - offspring has increased chance to mutate, and the mutation is more likely to be this stat
(RESOURCE) Bearing - reduced weight of a certain type of resource
resource types: Meat, mineral, desert (scorched earth), cave (abberation), exotic (pearls, leech blood etc), plant (including wood+thatch), carcass (hide etc)
Cold/Warm - Protects rider from heat or cold and reduces damage from the opposite temperature attacks
High endurance - reduced stamina usage
Fatty - reduces damage taken based on food stat
Aquatic - increased swim speed, reduced oxygen usage and stamina drain from swimming
slow metabolism - reduced food consumption
atheletic - increased stamina and health regen based on oxygen stat
giant slayer - increase damage to large creatures, reduced against small
excitable - basic attacks reduce cooldowns of other abilites
heavy hitting - higher dmg, slower attack
fast hitting - (opposite of above)
carefree - increased speed out of combat
cowardly - increased speed in combat
aggressive - increased movement speed after attacking
numb - 25% of damage is converted into damage over time for the next 5 seconds
angry - gains dmg boost as health falls
tenacious - gains damage reduction as health falls
diurnal/nocturnal - less stamina usage during the day/night
frenetic - drains torpidity quicker
distracting - creature distracts targets it hits, causing them do deal less damage to anything other than it
fast learner - 15% increased xp
vampiric - 5% liferip
kingslaying - more damage against bosses and alphas (huge)
protective - rider takes less damage while riding + 10s after dismounting
still not sure if you can rank them up, the green hexagonal #1 makes it seem like it but i cant find out how
Damn, Oxygen and Food stats are now gonna be very relevant if you want to get the most bang out of you buck.
So if you get warm on your dino can you go to surface ??
@@KroKd Probably not, the surface gets so hot that i doubt the trait would offset it. Try it out and let us know lol

the edge 4 can spawn you on a platue with metal rocks and a buncha herbivores for natural protection
I’m on ps5 and every step almost I get insane frame drop (the island single player btw)
Turn off clouds and grass via console, that should get you a high FPS boost.

I’ve decided I’m only gonna play aberration after I beat either beta or alpha manticore on scorched earth. And even then I have 8 pages worth of mods waiting to update so I might even stall until all of those mods are all up to date

Raas, when you finally tame a YiLing you need to name one either Pat or Butcher…from the earrings alone
yea portal is easiest and when i spawned there were multiple basilisks and one was alpha :DD

I have epilepsy, and I am very glad they change the mushrom psicodelic effect T_T, in ASE I just play it in my pc or nitrado with a mod the mod community gladly make for me to delete de effect, now I can play it in officials T_T
I'm super happy with Abberation and it runs pretty well on my console, I'm just upset with how bright it all is. It's a cave, why do I feel like I'm outside? Other than that and Pyromanes, I've got very little to complain about.

I was a little skeptical about the performance update but I must say it's definitely improved the performance on my PC, it even helped keep my PC cooler. However I'm pissed that Aberration has been littered with trees and bushes, Evolved was much better for this map unfortunately.

On my Xbox everything goes from pitch black, to some spots where it’s brighter than the sun
I've had THE most miserable time trying to play. If I'm not crashing every 5 minutes, the servers are ALL full. FOR DAYS. For days, the servers have been totally full. it's been fucking horrendous. I got one ONCE over the weekend only to IMMEDIATELY crash, and then the server was full all weekend, locking my character in limbo.
Do you know if there are honey nodes? All the spots I knew for evolved don't exist anymore

I don’t know if they changed it but on ASE there was a chance a basilisk could in the portal spawn there so be careful

They still exist, i added Ab to my cluster today and my tribe mate logged into portal and was killed by 3 basilisks at once in the same area - oof.

They're still there. I spawned in and took 3 steps and was immediately killed by a level 55..

dont know if its just me or the xbox, the gene trait gun, even with the trait storage placed and powered, and a brand new gun, comes up with a cannot determine max trait storage in the box that would normally list the traits on the dino, so either i did something wrong or it plain doesnt work on xbox

Its my most played map in ASE, things I hate about the ASA version after over 10 hours.
1 - Why are there so many rocks in the pathways? Try having a tame follow you only to get stuck or be shocked when it can't follow you.
2 - Why are there so many god damn fish in the river? It lowered your FPS by 20 every time you go near it. This was an issue on ASE as well how is this not patched?
3 - Its so dark that half the time I can't see where the fuck I'm going.
On the PC ( steam ) IT is not running
I can deal with the stuttering but my ground mesh on PS5 stopped appearing on all my map files. I hope they fix this because the game ran smooth for me before the patch and now it’s a buggy slow mess.
My ground stuff randomly vanishes, especially when taming the cosmo.

They couldn't put too much grass in this map so they've over compensated with bushes. All bushes all the time.

@@Fodder2 nope that is was the patch notes prior to the release patch notes on the release one it says all the way on the bottom there still making changes to it
It's actually in the game but not yet activated. It was mentioned that you can activate it manually with admin commands for now.

Where can I find the basilisk and the yi ling
Basilisk is in many places but the easiest to access is the "easy" (yeah right) portal starting area, its totally infested with basilisks on my new server.
Tamed a 140 an hour ago with 44 points in melee base, cloning it with a low level male now, gunna be a beast once i start stacking melee mutations,
All these people complain about lag and crashes. Man, I can't play ASA at all. I'm still on Ps4. 😂 JUST BE HAPPY YOU CAN PLAY ASA!

Same here. It's my first time playing it and I was immediately hit by a wave of anxiety by not being able to see sky above me. But I'm gonna still play it and try to work through it and see how it goes because it's a beautiful map and I was ready for something different.

Does it seem like the ability to climb some hills and rocks has been nerfed as well? It's a little weird I can't walk up slight inclines or climb some rocks. It is a bit annoying to say the least. And I don't even have a tame I have to worry about following me yet. I bet that's gonna be next to impossible.
