I did some further math, the total damage reduction is about 93.6%. Which means that if the reaper gets bitten by a giga who normally does 1.5k damage, it would deal only 99 damage. Absolutely mindblowing.

I dont think it makes much of a difference. Havent tested it but purely from the wording it scales with points in food and gives armor, on the reaper its noticable because it doesnt have any armor but after 100 the value of more armor drops significantly so when you have a good saddle on the daedon its better to pump health

Raas, you weren’t neccesarily correct about the numb trait. what it does is reduce damage taken by 25%, but then deals the extra damage that you *DIDNT* take over the next 5 seconds. basically it converts 25% of all damage taken into damage over time
Numb isn't _alternating_ between taking 25% less damage and 25% more damage, it's changing 25% of the damage the creature takes from instant to a DoT. Which could be nice coupled with healing from the Vampiric trait, a Daeodon, a Snow Owl, a Plant Species Z or even just Veggie Cakes on an herbivore, since it gives you a bigger window to heal off damage that otherwise would have killed the tame, but it's still the same amount of damage coming in over all.
i think you always get the +75. but what changes is what level the baby is before you add that. could be tested by not gaining xp and just letting the kings hatch as is. also seeing you getting a 227 baby leads me to think the 100% scale is at lvl 150 and you got extra levels on top for being 155. which would mean they can get even more levels once we got more ascensions/higher max level.

@@KCGamingBuddies The max mineral weight reduction on ankys will turn a stack of 300 metal to weighing just 4.5 units. Syntac did a video showing all the traits and specifically showed how silly that one is with dinos that have natural weight reductions.
They gotta fix the sound quality on Abberation too, like the music statics like crazy every 10min and feels like the game is gonna crash, then it goes back to normal, but it's so freakishly annoying too!

they've removed alot of old base locations. having cliffs and ceilings come down and engulf those areas. the map has gotten a wee bit smaller especially in blue zone
Also you can safely sit on your rock drake when its glowing and ready to impregnate you. Just use a basic cross bow and shoot here a few times to get her aggro to your character not your drake. She will then rip you off of it and boom safe easy reaper. NOTE: USE A PRIM CROSSBOW so you dont finish her off. Damage debuff makes it do like 5 damage

155 is not your max lvl you can get. even with the rockwell bugged right now you should be go to 160 with Rockwell new max is 175 . not a huge difference for the video, im just saying :)
Are you playing on PC? I make a Reaper today and had a other XP Timer , but after killing i See no extra Level from XP. And the Timer stops by 0:00 and no Baby comes out 😭 after New Log in my Timer was reset on 1 Hour. And i read from that Timer Bug in manny Ark Forums. I am so angry that all working Time was bullshit in the End😭😫😭
Traits seem so confusing for no reason. Theirs gonna be a over the top meta. Stegos with 1000000s of hp and a full food bar with saddle veggie cakes. Reapers as shown. Bosses are gonna be jokes with rexes with traits

I probably might look into it later but what I think is happening is that when you get a baby reaper, what’s happens is that the lvl of the reaper Queen that impregnated you is Halved and your player lvl is halved and is combined to create the full lvl of the baby reaper I could be wrong so don’t take my theory as a fact . .
I can't get the math to work with the other tests. My guess is that they used a exponential function that gives +75 levels when the character is at level 150 and a bit more if at a higher level and significantly less if under level 150. Like only +37 levels if at level 100 and only +18 levels at level 50. Also they may have made it give a minimum +10 levels or something so there is a boost even at level 1. This would need lots of tests to figure out, like 3 tests every 15 levels.
I've somehow been able to imprint on a baby alpha Karkinos and is grown up by just eating things around it, but the problem is I can't equip a saddle to it unfortunately or access its inventory to feed it, so I guess there should be a fix to that or something? Literally the first time I've seen that you can actually tame an alpha without some cheat lol
You're not supposed to claim them. that was a bug from Abb's launch that patched the spawning of baby alphas. You need to cryo the baby and release it (this is pretty difficult to do) for them to feed and grow. Once grown you should be able to equip a normal kark saddle to it. You can also breed them ( i have a breeding pair); but you cannot claim the bred alpha's baby. You can kill them for alpha XP and alpha kark loot though. Also be aware that it gives all wild dinos the alpha buff whether tamed or wild alpha kark. :3 So it's not wise to use one for fighting; unless it's specifically for tanking.

And no, you can't equip a saddle to an alpha adult, I already tried that, like I said in my comment. It's because you can't access its inventory, but it gets plenty of food for killing things all the way.

Quick Hitting is such bad trait as its a outright nerf to your damage output. Increase attack Speed is 2.5% dps buff, but damage is 5% dps nerf, so thats a net 2.5% damage nerf overall.

So question, in ASE you had to unalive dinos while preg to get the levels. Is this just removing that requirement since there is such a short incubation period? Or will being max level with ascension, notes etc AND unaliving dinos while preg give you an even stronger reaper with this in mind?
Can you apply mutation chance when impregnated with the larva? Or can you apply it to the queen? I use the shiny dinos mod and if the shiny dinos has "radioactive" you can tame and use it like an S+ mutator by using the tamed dinos ability to use a radiation pulse that adds a much higher chance of mutation to nearby baby dinos. But does this pulse apply to the baby during gestation or do you have to add it to the queen right before she impales you?
Needing to get all of the ascensions, explorer notes, and chibi levels is utterly ridiculous. Max level 105 should allow you to get all the bonus levels.
@JuanCarlosSanchez-oo3sz true, but some people will exclusively play on certain maps or will simply be unable or unwilling to ascend owing to the time and resources required, so while I do agree with you and I do think a creature that takes so much work to obtain at peak condition is cool, the fact that Reaper's originally didn't have these limitations makes Wildcard's decision unwise and somewhat irritating.
@@Raasclark I meant the bobs tales which are dlc for a dlc . (Dlception) Cause the bobs take have explorer notes that give extra level just like it said in your character status.
You want to have a load of meat plus have a team mate.drop you some metal or anything heavy, this will encumbered the baby stopping it from running around
If you do this make sure you have tek leggings equipped so you can move. Reaper baby's can bug out and get stuck in a wall so you'd need to be able to move to it to claim it and then get killed.

I’ve followed evolve since release and I was too busy with work and school to download ascendant when it launched, but I’ve also heard of people saying it’s not worth it so I’m quite torn. I have followed u for a long long time now and i trust ur opinion, so now that it’s been out for a good while what is ur opinion on it and is it worth it.
It seems to be % based. Whats the % of ur character lvl compared to the max 155 is what counts. So say u 90% there of a 155 then u get 90% of that 75 lvls on that reaper.

Numb is basically the Brewmaster "Stagger" ability from WoW, i loved that ability so its nice to have an equivalent in Ark ASA!

Here’s what makes me curious, The first you were level 155, The first reaper was 80. 75 levels lower. Ironic
Queen was lvl 5. Raas got the max +75 lvls to make it lvl 80. So its how it worked in ASE
At this point I think even Einstein will have trouble understanding Ark breeding mechanics.

155 is not your max lvl you can get. even with the rockwell bugged right now you should be go to 160 with Rockwell new max is 175 . not a huge difference for the video, im just saying :)

idk why but my theory is that your character level must match reaper level to get the full 75 buff

No he has higher settings for testing. Normally you still have enough time. And he got full xp on them (only not on the first one)

I use the shiny dinos mod and if the shiny dinos has "radioactive" you can tame and use it like an S+ mutator by using the tamed dinos ability to use a radiation pulse that adds a much higher chance of mutation to nearby baby dinos. But does this pulse apply to the baby during gestation or do you have to add it to the queen right before she impales you?

Needing to get all of the ascensions, explorer notes, and chibi levels is utterly ridiculous. Max level 105 should allow you to get all the bonus levels.
Lore wise it makes sense, you have to ascend from The Island to Scorched to Abb. So by then you'll have a much higher level.
@JuanCarlosSanchez-oo3sz true, but some people will exclusively play on certain maps or will simply be unable or unwilling to ascend owing to the time and resources required, so while I do agree with you and I do think a creature that takes so much work to obtain at peak condition is cool, the fact that Reaper's originally didn't have these limitations makes Wildcard's decision unwise and somewhat irritating.
so to get max level you also need to chip out 50 or 60 more to also get dlcs explorer notes to get max level .
Dlc maps are free. Bobs dlc for the maps is paid
@@Raasclark I meant the bobs tales which are dlc for a dlc . (Dlception) Cause the bobs take have explorer notes that give extra level just like it said in your character status.

You want to have a load of meat plus have a team mate.drop you some metal or anything heavy, this will encumbered the baby stopping it from running around
If you do this make sure you have tek leggings equipped so you can move. Reaper baby's can bug out and get stuck in a wall so you'd need to be able to move to it to claim it and then get killed.
The gene system is confusing but it’s pretty cool. But for reapers it’s a net nerf right? Unless you utilise the gene system
Im confused is it different for single player or something? youre supposed to get impregnated and then kill a whole bunch of stuff to get the levels it doesnt scale with player level i thought, just raised a reaper and got the full 75 levels by killing a whole bunch of dinos omw back to base but maybe its because im in single player?

I’ve followed evolve since release and I was too busy with work and school to download ascendant when it launched, but I’ve also heard of people saying it’s not worth it so I’m quite torn. Reaper gets a large increase in stats and size but with a small increase in weight and stamina.😔
But what do you do if you dont play on a cluster that doesent have ascension ? is it just flat out impossible to try to get perfect reapers then ?
If you don't play on a server with high max level, that means everyone on that server would be equal anyways.

Character level is 115. Reaper queen was a 150. I got the max levels +75 exp. Hatched a baby that was only 204. Very confused
It seems to be % based. Whats the % of ur character lvl compared to the max 155 is what counts. So say u 90% there of a 155 then u get 90% of that 75 lvls on that reaper.
Mine was a 140 queen. And birthed 209. Im a 140 i think. Still birthed with 432% melee tho😅
