Lol !! Everyone is OVER THINKING these hand tool videos. Social contagion for sure ! I've been an Electrical contractor for 38 years or so and I've seen everything come and go. At the end of the day, a good set of tools will do anything that you need to do. Honestly, you could probably take a full set of cheap tools and be good for years. But, I gotta say, I enjoy watching people test and talk about tools and methods of working. Just don't over spend on fads. Have a great day and enjoy what you do everyday !!
That's been my biggest complaint with the Weras.. Great quality tools, but the damn handles are too small! Falling through loop pockets/holders on tool pouches, obnoxious. I'm sticking with the Wiha and my older Kleins. Thanks for the review/comparison 👍
Wow glad you did this video. Everyone Fanboys over the Wera screwdriver I didn't like the small handles. But best laser tip I've ever seen. Gave them to a girl apprentice she loves them.
They get dirty fast but they clean up easily (wera). Ive used both wiha and wera and i prefer the wera but like the lengths of the wiha better for electrical
Awhile back I bought some individual Wiha and Wera screwdrivers off KC Tool just to try them out. The only part of the Weras that impressed me was the lazer tips, best Phillips tips I’ve used so far. I ended up loving the Wihas, but both of them fail on availability, I can’t walk into a store and replace them same day if I break or loose one, and that’s why I haven’t left Klein.
I prefer the wihas. Theyre super nice in my opinion. Their torque screwdriver is amazing for the electrical work i do. I of course have a ton of klein stuff too, but i wanted to switch it up and try the wiha and im glad i did.
Awesome!! I love wera and wiha…. I have used Klein for around 7 years and the quality has certainly gone down with all the new stuff/products they have came out with, they use to make better screwdrivers 🪛…. Im team 🇺🇸 all the damn way & will be til I die but those Germans 🇩🇪 got it right when it comes to most of their tools. Great work on the video my brother! 🍻
Wera is my vde dedicated screwdrivers for the laser tips. Screwdrivers are deeply personal to everyone so your milage may vary. Funny enough they don't make a slim insulation with laser tips only non. You want something fun get the vessel x wera collaboration all the ball handle you can handle made in Cheh republic by wera with laser tips! Not insualted though.
Got turned onto Wera last year and love them. Have the vde, standard and a couple of the striking chisel points. Klein are ok, I absolutely hate the new Milwaukee.
Can’t take this guy seriously after he was telling people not to buy the 7 1/4”cobras cause of the size 😭. Wera lives to the hype. Used them in a real industrial setting for 5 years and they’re still going strong. Don’t rule them out because of this guy 🤣
Interesting video. You mention at the end briefly your hand size which is what determines if the handle is too small or just right Are you a medium, large or extra large? The Klein issue is similar to bicycle grips that spin on the handle bars It should not happen but can be fixed by using hair spray on the plastic under the rubber handle. Try it It does work.
@stanrosenblum4669 not sure oh my handsome probably l- xl. Hairspray is interesting. Does it shrunk or what are we trying to do? Spary the rubber or the grips? I'll check into it
No smell You spray on the yellow plastic below the rubber and twist back to spread it out and it sticks like glue. Watch a video on installing bike grips. Cheers.
Wera lasertips are good at the start but they do wear after a while. Wiha has their tip geometry so dialled I think they are actually better. Industrial sparky for 25 years and Wiha slimfix are my #1 choice.

Bought my dad a set of Wera screwdrivers a few years ago. He said it's the best he's ever used.
@@WildernessPreacher they are great. Just smaller handles. The grip on screws is unmatched

Your rewiew is spot on. If they could combine the best from both would make choice easy.

I've never had anyone issue cleaning the rubber on wera screwdrivers. My vde ones are 7 year still not discolored.
@@MattHmm-rq6dn that's good to know!

@sparkydstoolboxtalk1024 me too but the handles on the klein are failing on the newer screwdrivers with milti tips
If tool is priced like an heirloom quality product the material should holdup for 100 years

@danielplaya4211 for electrical. Specifically but yeah. Both have small handles. It's a factor.
