I enjoy watching critters too. We had a mommy and 6 baby opossums last summer. They ravaged my tomato plants. They would take a bite of a tomato, move to the next tomato and take a bite. Seldom did they even eat half of a tomato. Brats!
I have this, and was pleasantly surprised. I normally do not care for full coverage, and have desert dry skin. I must say, I really like it, and it really does last and look nice all day (at least 12 hours). It does not make me look dry, flat, or old (which most matte and/or full coverage foundations do). I have applied with fingers, sponge, and brush - and I like all 3 methods. I do not set with powder.
@Annie N Shelley would have to answer that. I have not tried it. I can tell you that my favorite foundation is Loreal True Match Lumi. The formula is light, the coverage is excellent, it last a good 8 to 10 hours, and my skin looks better at the end of the day. I have tried A LOT of foundation...high end, middle, and drugstore...and it is the one that works best for me. I can apply it any one way, and I do not have to set with powder, nor do I need concealer (and I have dark circles a d puffiness).
A personal preference is to stick with 100% mineral spf. In my experience with battling melasma I learned to stay away from chemical sunscreens. Other people who don't have this issue are blessed
Yes! Chipmunks are one of the cutest little animals ever, the animated Chipmunks...not so much IMO! I've had some trouble w/my MacBook so haven't seen you lately, but you better know as soon as I got it back, I came right over!
The animated chipmunks for some reason made me think that chipmunks are MUCH bigger than they really are! I had no idea they're so small! 😂 When I first saw this one, I had to google a picture of him because I had no idea what it was!
The coverage looks beautiful. I'd like a bit more w/ a more matte foundation. I do not have a foundation I don't set, so that would be cool. Chipmunks are so, so cute. How fun you get to watch one.

This foundation surprised me too. I don't get on well with matte's as much as I use to....not since my skin turned to more normal -slightly dry. The consistency reminds me of the l'oreal fresh wear but my skin hated that foundation. I think I've found a new fave in this Covergirl one. :) Great review.
That foundation REALLY tempts me. Only drawback is, going into summer, that chemical sunscreen. Those tend to burn the crap out of my eyes if I’m sweating 🙈
I loved the CG Elixir. Every other foundation of theirs gives me tiny little bumps on my forehead. Must be allergic to something in them which is too bad because they look so nice at the start 😧

Thanks, Adi! This shadow is from Adept Cosmetics, but I have pretty good luck in general with eyeshadow wear. I use the MAC Paint Pot in shade Painterly as my eye primer.
So good to see you again Shelly! Hope all is well. :) On the subject of chipmunks..........I have some that burrow holes under my foundation AND rob my bird feeders. Funny story: About 10 years ago, I purchased a bird feeder that proclaimed to be squirrel/chipmunk proof. It was made from a sort of chain-link material where the metal strands were twisted in such a way that made it difficult for rodents to get at the seeds inside. I had a chipmunk swearing at me through an open window on a beautiful Spring day. He was quite upset that he couldn't get into the feeder anymore. Lol! This foundation looks so smooth and pretty! I've always walked past this formula thinking that it would be too matte for me but this looks like something I might try. CoverGirl really knocks it out of the park with their foundations. I just wish they'd stick to one shade name/number system so it would be easier to find the right one across formulas. Take care. :)

Passes the mask test AND looks nice. That’s the whole package these days. I’d be interested to hear your thoughts (maybe in one of your compilation videos) about the wear and look at the end of the day when you don’t have to wear a mask. I’ve noticed that the extra “humidity” from my breath affects the wear and look of my makeup a bit.
I loved this foundation! More than Armani Silk. Looks better throughout the day. I'm 64. Use Vanicream moisturizer under makeup and Skin Aqua gel sunscreen (Japan). I too use 820 shade.

There are so many good drugstore foundations to choose from now....this Cover Girl looks so pretty, your eyes just top off the look....The closest Ulta to me is an hour away....love just browsing the aisles to see all the products....before we moved to the country I had one just a mile from us, still miss the conveniences.....I saw where Yensa is on QVC now....
Oh good, I was wondering which shade you'd pick. Like you, CYO in 101 was perfection and so is the Missha BB in 21. Looking at the shades online, I would've bet on 800 Fair Ivory which looks like it leans a little cooler. Dang, it's hard choosing shades!!! This looked really nice on you, though. And since I wear a mask 8-10 hrs/day at work, I don't expect a whole lot... I may have to try this anyway. Excellent video as usual!!

I seen another review of the lippies last night. There was a nutmeg shade that looked cooler in tone. It's not relaxing or enjoyable for me to browse, in store, as more people have decided that it's safe not to wear masks around others. Covergirl has made some great changes, that is for sure.

A tiny bit wore off on the bridge of my nose where the mask metal part goes but not much at all so I would say it's pretty good in its claim about being transfer-resistant.

I thought the foundation looked good. I really liked your whole make up today! There were some chipmunk movies in the 2000's. Not nearly as good as the original albums, though. I always go Chip and Dale when I see chipmunks. Those old Disney reels still crack me up!
I tried this foundation and although it did have a nice finish and lasted a long time, it made me really oily on my T-zone after like 2 hours of wearing it even after setting it with powder and I had to keep blotting throughout the day so because of that I gave it to my mom who has dry skin and she liked it...
Beautiful, I love this look. The foundation has a beautiful satin look. Not a fan of Cover Girl. Do they still have that Noxzema smell in their products?
I did a review on this foundation and tried it multiple times in humid weather I didn’t think it did well at all until I tried something to combine it with and it made all the difference in the world at least on mature skin,before combining this with something else it definitely settled into fine lines!!

Thank you!! And yep thank goodness the fix was minor, but the empty propane tank was not minor! Our new gas company totally messed up the estimate of how much fuel was left, and it was almost completely empty, which also prevented the furnace from working properly. $2,000 later ..... ooof! But it's all working now and that's what matters.

Hi Hayley!! I do a 50-50 mix of Arctic Fox Purple Rain (red-based purple) and Poseidon (blue). This here is what it fades to after a few weeks. A little of the blue-purple hangs on but mostly what's left is the undertone of the Purple Rain.

I didn't know Widespread Panic was from Athens too!! I got my first tattoo in Athens (one Christmas break from college when my best friend and I decided to drive down there on a whim and spend the week) - Midnight Iguana Tattoo. It was right across from the hotel we stayed at downtown (which was a Holiday Inn if I remember correctly!) We were 19 so neither of us could get into the bars yet but we had a blast anyway. Never did find Michael Stipe.

I mix half and half Arctic Fox Purple Rain and Poseidon (blue), so this is about 6 weeks washed out (so some of the magenta undertone of Purple Rain is there, but some of the blue-purple from adding Poseidon sticks around). It starts out as all being a blue-based purple with that mix and fades to this.
Thanks, Grace! This is about 6 weeks washed out version of dying my previously bleached hair (2 rounds of bleach on the lengths to be able to take this color) - I use a 50/50 mix of Arctic Fox Purple Rain (a red-based purple) with Poseidon (blue). That's why it fades to magenta in some spots due to the Purple Rain's red base, but holds onto the blue-purple in other spots from the Poseidon.

Same!! I wasn't even going to try it based on the name because matte and any kind of long-wear are usually a recipe for old cake-face for me.

Tried it tonight. Sponge worked better for me than a brush. Felt a bit dry but I probably could have used a primer or lotion

Looking at the shades online, I would've bet on 800 Fair Ivory which looks like it leans a little cooler. Dang, it's hard choosing shades!!! This looked really nice on you, though. And since I wear a mask 8-10 hrs/day at work, I don't expect a whole lot... I may have to try this anyway. Excellent video as usual!!

I seen another review of the lippies last night. There was a nutmeg shade that looked cooler in tone. It's not relaxing or enjoyable for me to browse, in store, as more people have decided that it's safe not to wear masks around others. Covergirl has made some great changes, that is for sure.

A tiny bit wore off on the bridge of my nose where the mask metal part goes but not much at all so I would say it's pretty good in its claim about being transfer-resistant.

I thought the foundation looked good. I really liked your whole make up today! There were some chipmunk movies in the 2000's. Not nearly as good as the original albums, though. I always go Chip and Dale when I see chipmunks. Those old Disney reels still crack me up!
I tried this foundation and although it did have a nice finish and lasted a long time, it made me really oily on my T-zone after like 2 hours of wearing it even after setting it with powder and I had to keep blotting throughout the day so because of that I gave it to my mom who has dry skin and she liked it...
Beautiful, I love this look. The foundation has a beautiful satin look. Not a fan of Cover Girl. Do they still have that Noxzema smell in their products?
I don't notice a scent, but I don't have a sensitive nose so I'm not a very reliable indicator for the scent category!

I did a review on this foundation and tried it multiple times in humid weather I didn’t think it did well at all until I tried something to combine it with and it made all the difference in the world at least on mature skin,before combining this with something else it definitely settled into fine lines!!

Thank you!! And yep thank goodness the fix was minor, but the empty propane tank was not minor! Our new gas company totally messed up the estimate of how much fuel was left, and it was almost completely empty, which also prevented the furnace from working properly. $2,000 later ..... ooof! But it's all working now and that's what matters.

Matte Made doesn't even look matte on me! It's wild. I just wear my usual primer under it and it looks satin on me.
I am excited to try this foundation. Right now I’m enamored with the bye bye foundation, but it is quite expensive for me (teacher, back w 75% live classes in elementary). As others have said, I’m sure it will oxidize, so I’ll get the lightest shade & just bronze if needed. 😂

Hi Hayley!! I do a 50-50 mix of Arctic Fox Purple Rain (red-based purple) and Poseidon (blue). This here is what it fades to after a few weeks. A little of the blue-purple hangs on but mostly what's left is the undertone of the Purple Rain.

Yes a little less coverage with the sponge, with a similar finish either way, I'd say.

Off-topic I wanted to say that I am from Athens Georgia and heard in one of your previous videos that you liked this town because of Michael Stipe it may be other reasons. I didn't know Widespread Panic was from Athens too!! I got my first tattoo in Athens (one Christmas break from college when my best friend and I decided to drive down there on a whim and spend the week) - Midnight Iguana Tattoo. It was right across from the hotel we stayed at downtown (which was a Holiday Inn if I remember correctly!) We were 19 so neither of us could get into the bars yet but we had a blast anyway. Never did find Michael Stipe.

I purchased it about three weeks ago and managed to at least test it out, but my results were NOT the same as yours. LOL If you remember the dusty, cobwebbed skeleton that's fallen out of dozens of closets/coffins in B-grade horror films, then you can get a pretty good idea how it looked on me. ;)

I mix half and half Arctic Fox Purple Rain and Poseidon (blue), so this is about 6 weeks washed out (so some of the magenta undertone of Purple Rain is there, but some of the blue-purple from adding Poseidon sticks around). It starts out as all being a blue-based purple with that mix and fades to this.

Thanks, Grace! This is about 6 weeks washed out version of dying my previously bleached hair (2 rounds of bleach on the lengths to be able to take this color) - I use a 50/50 mix of Arctic Fox Purple Rain (a red-based purple) with Poseidon (blue). That's why it fades to magenta in some spots due to the Purple Rain's red base, but holds onto the blue-purple in other spots from the Poseidon.
