It's very impressive how straight you got the rear quarter panel by hand. I have a Ford work van that I have been teaching myself to replace the metal and I quickly found out that it takes alot of time, and my work is entry level at best. It took me 8 hours to replace the inner bottom and the outer bottom panels of 1 of the 2 side doors. You guys rock. I just started and subscribed when your $500 supermarket and am looking forward to seeing it come back to life. Putting the ford engine in kind of like the gt race car. Keep them coming. I've told several people to watch you guys
You guys have done something I’ve not experienced since I was a little kid with Saturday morning cartoons… made me look forward to Saturday morning, sitting down with my coffee and breakfast, and turning on the tv. Following Jigsaw has been the first thing I watch. Can’t wait to see the finished result, and you’re giving me evil thoughts about the potential for my Cayman. Keep up the amazing work!
I thank heaven every Saturday. Now that Sampson Boat Company has about completed their build, Saturday wasn't gonna be as happy. But these guys are on point.
Not Jigsaw, but that's perfectly alright with me. You guys are the reason I'm seriously considering picking up a Porsche 944. Thanks for another video!
Crucible Coachworks videos make my Saturday's. The Jigsaw project is unique in TH-cam land. I love the interaction between you two guys working together. It reminds me of the good times I enjoyed when I had my business selling VW parts and rebuilding and modifying engines and transmissions. I looked forward to going to work because of the camaraderie I enjoyed with my employees, We were always pulling pranks on each other and having a good old time. I love your video editing and the B roll you mix in. Ryan you are truly a master of your craft and I was looking forward to seeing other repairs at the shop in addition to the Jigsaw project. You guys are privileged to be doing what you love to do! God bless you!!
I love this content, actual work for customer. The care you show is why you are successful. The hints of cars in the shop are super fun, and I am always “but wait, I want to know about that one!”
OMG! I was looking forward to the jigsaw. I thought we would get 2 uploads a week with the shop work. I know, I know. Easier said than done. Whats cool about this, is that we can see what you guys actually do for work instead of your side project. Awesome. Love the content guys. Please keep it coming!!!
You gotta get yourself a slapper for planishing its just a big long hammer and it will stop you having to hammer from inside the guard so much and has a larger surface area plus i find the marks help me see all the highs and lows better as im blind as hell lol i just make them from old leaf springs it will change your life i swear make one with a curve for those reverse curves aswell
My opinion, I was fast forwarding threw most of the metal work on jig saw. I appreciate how hard that work is. So hard that I will never attempt it. I enjoy the change of pace.
Amazing bodywork as always. Your video style makes it looks like you are just having us hang around the shop watching you. Hell, I'd love to spend a week sweeping up the shop.
also, the fact they just put that panel into a box... with no support is nutty to me, i've gotten eco-chevy parts that even had support also glad you guys are fixing the original panel. well worth it
Such a good job editing this video and usage of time lapse and regular speed. I know it was a lot of footage and tons of time in the software to produce this video. Very high quality, thank you for everything you guys do.
You guys should check out Roloc discs, they're great for removing stuff (paint, rust, etc) from metal without really touching the base metal at all. We use it for gasket surfaces at work. They aren't the cheapest at around $8 each, but they're awesome. They go right on to your die grinder. Aircraft stripper is definitely great for larger surfaces like you're doing, but then you clean the leftovers up with the roloc disc. Loving all of your videos!
Thanks for the tip! I actually used the Norton branded blaze roloc disks on the rocker panel. (I do however know there are like a thousand types of roloc disks out there, haha!)
@@CrucibleCoachworks Oh interesting, I didn't know there were more types. The ones we use are the 3M Roloc bristle discs, they're little plastic bristles and come in different grits as well.
Was dissipointed when I realised no Jigsaw this week but this vid satisfied my Crucible itch, excellent content, that dent repair machine was awesome, nice work Ryan.
Was repairing that quarter panel as satisfying to do as it was to watch? It was really cool to see you recover it rather than just cut it off and replace it.
Thank you for this video. I definitely love the part when you were doing the bodywork on the rear fender thank you so much. You definitely got me motivated to get out into the garage and work on my 911 thank you.🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
If u try to Fix creases or edges you could use Carbon Powerbits. They are a little bit better than Wire and its possible to give more force at pulling. Best regards from Germany
Your workmanship is a joy to watch, but thank god you're back to decent Porsche content. I'm not a fan of the Jigsaw project. Also still waiting to see the finish of the backdate 911.
What type of mig wire do you guys use if you’re gonna mig weld a panel? Referring to the part where you talk about mig welding making a hard weld where tig is better. Do you guys use regular er70s-6 or have you tried other wire types? I’ve found the er70s-2 is a little softer, but I’m only a hobby welder that’s never done tig welding.
Seems to be a continuous problem these days: parts badly packaged, often damaged and not even the right part. And of course the cost of said panel and postage.
why did you take the light box apart and remove the wires? Why not pull the rubber grommet out of the chassis and undo the ground wire, simple and easy
That wrong quarter panel in the correct box with no packaging feels like an order return scam. People will buy something expensive, return a cheaper version of it in the same box, and if no one checks it (or the person checking it doesn't know the difference), then they make off with the money. Not usually proactively malicious, but seems to be more of a reaction to when someone accidentally bought the wrong item. Probably less likely with something like this, but I've seen it with Amazon purchases, etc.
Please stop moving on, before you finish a project. Like the 928, and now your custom car. Dont be like other channels who dont care about their current subscribers, and keep changing the theme/topic of the channel to get new subscribers.
We aren't moving on, we were unable to work on Jigsaw this week as Tony was still away on vacation. (Which we will be back on next week like we said in this video). The 928 is also being worked on and will be back soon. We do care about y'all and wanted to have a video for you to watch this week that was more than just a tiny bit of progress on Jigsaw. There are only two of us doing the entire process from working on the cars, filming, editing and running a shop. 👍
I don’t think badly of those “cough” bad Chad “cough” channels, I get that they came from nothing and need to keep the money coming in. With this channel, it’s more that it is a commercial shop and you have to bounce between projects as you’re waiting for parts, etc.
@@oddcarsandbaddecisions Y E S !!!!! I started watching the chad guy because of the bughatti hauler / texaco truck, but it hasnt been shown for over a year. Also I made a comment about how the steering wont work, and he blocked me !! LOL.

Check back next week for an update on Project Jigsaw!
I saw this in the background of a jigsaw video and could tell exactly what i was clicking on in the thumbnail
Thank u for such a nice content, nice quality job!
Don't forget about "u know" competition when your partner comes back :D

Seeing that quarter panel come back into shape was so cool. I'm amazed by the skill on display.

Agree.
I thank heaven every Saturday. Now that Sampson Boat Company has about completed their build, Saturday wasn't gonna be as happy. But these guys are on point.
I like the variety, I’d like to see you go back to the 928 here and there!
We will bring the 928 back onto the channel soon! 👍🏻
Not Jigsaw, but that's perfectly alright with me. You guys are the reason I'm seriously considering picking up a Porsche 944. Thanks for another video!
Much appreciated! 🙏
I was dubious about that quarter panel coming out, but you pulled it off!!! 🔥🔥🔥

Excellent work on saving the quarter panel. This looks like a neat project for sure.
It could be a 25 min video of you and Tony just in the shop...we are all for it!!! ❤❤❤

Wow. Great job Ryan. Jigsaw is cool but this was a good change of pace and quite refreshing. Please show us the end result on the 911.

Such great work, nice change of pace!
The rubber looking paintjob on the wing was genius!
Thanks Casey!
Great job on that fender. Cool track car. Glad to see guys who DRIVE them.
Glad you saved the fender and simply excellent work as always. Ryan you are a talented craftsman.
I appreciate that
The dentfix maxi is an awesome tool. I use one from time to time at my work . And yes that system is a game changer for sure.
Was repairing that quarter panel as satisfying to do as it was to watch? It was really cool to see you recover it rather than just cut it off and replace it.
It most certainly was!
Good thing the owner has you guys!
Very cool - the quality level you go for and achieve is fantastic. Thanks for sharing!
Your work is amazing- makes me wish I would had hired you for my 914 /6 GT conversion.

Dude you make it look too easy lol, great work as always and its always nice to see a master at work
As they say: when the going gets tough the tough get going.
Nice job!
Nicely done. Clever trick with the dyekem. Also, arent bullseye picks an absolute game changer?
Absolutely! This is the first time I got to use that one from Eastwood, super handy.
Removing that paint looked like a claymation scene from Evil Dead!!
That tool set is awesome, wow
Brilliant, if your ever in Tasmania Australia, I'll buy you a beer
Great episode and look forward to more Jigsaw!
So cool to see what goes into a repair like this
Sanded Dykem would be a very fitting look for a rat-rod Porsche concept if you ever do one.
Interesting idea!
Peruvian Red, one of my favorite colors
Its a great color, second only to Cassis Red (imo).
(This message was not endorsed by Tony, lol)
We can't forget about Arena Red
This is so cool. You are an artist with that hammer.
I just picked up a '77 911, and also do bodywork. Perfect timing.
Ryan gave the old “It’ll buff out” 😂😂😂
If u try to Fix creases or edges you could use Carbon Powerbits. They are a little bit better than Wire and its possible to give more force at pulling. Best regards from Germany
You're an artist
The 928 :
Stop this shit show and Finish MEEEEEE
Toni the Tiger would vouch for that quarter looking like a cornflake @9:18 in.
Your workmanship is a joy to watch, but thank god you're back to decent Porsche content. I'm not a fan of the Jigsaw project. Also still waiting to see the finish of the backdate 911.
Welcome to PDR Week on Crucible Coachworks! 😂
Where we take “paintless” very seriously. 😂
Step 1: Ensure the panel is paintless.
Interesting for sure
My initial thought was "you should be able to fix that quarter" glad to see i was right. lol
What stripper do you use?
There was a shot of the container they were using at 10:36
Pardon my French.... F`king awesome work Ryan!
Maxi repair, beats the spitsnaggle hands down, but almost 6ooo bucks
Excellent work. That's that blue hoop tool you use to align the hammering on the inside with the aim on the outside?
Bullseye pick.

I want more Tony pushups!
I'm sure there will be more next week. 👀
You are doing a Awesome job. :)
The real important question is why do you have a quarter pipe set up next to your garage door and when do we get to see you skate it???
Aren't those elephant racing oil lines? With the schrader value on them to assist in oil removal 🤔
damn that video was awsome
What’s the paint remover you use on the wing
You make it look to easy!
I remember this car and that one off wing
What brand epoxy primer do you use?
Seems to be a continuous problem these days: parts badly packaged, often damaged and not even the right part. And of course the cost of said panel and postage.
That mug would be labeled incorrectly, it should be a Stamina Potion.
why did you take the light box apart and remove the wires?
Why not pull the rubber grommet out of the chassis and undo the ground wire, simple and easy
Y’all could be making braces for a giants teeth and I’d still watch!
wow

Yeah, we thought the same as well!
I thought the same , although I’m fairly certain most of the panels I’ve been supplied with over the years from porche have been loose in a box
so this is the widebody backdate build or what?
Give me all those panels. I will massage them back to original perfection and return them to you in a month. This damage does not merit replacement.
Edit. I asked too early.:Curious, what's it cost for the quarter?
Cars are not supposed to have tread marks on the fenders.
What the frank can this dude do with his hands and a franking hammer?!
Small world, have rocker damage like that, and my current automobile is that colour…
Get yourself a slapping spoon
Yup. Where’s the slapper?
2:04 ... dang, never noticed ya 2 different colored eyes... neat, now ima feel weird staring at ya even tho its one way...
Here's the reason why you didn't get one sooner... Cause you guys are getting the street cred and views to get it for free!!! Keep it up
I have gotten quite used to starting my Saturday with jigsaw guys. This 911 is bologna sandwich! I’m not mad, just disappointed.
Naaaaah
You guys should put a new custom body on it. And Coyote swap it.
the acting at 3:00 is so cringy
