Engine brake mean ?
when you lift foot from accelerator in lower gears ⚙. Car slows down due to gear ration to quickly adjust the RPM. This force applied by gears to slow down the car is refered as Engine Brake.
When activated, it opens exhaust valves to the cylinders, right before the compression stroke ends, releasing the compressed gas trapped in the cylinders, and slowing the vehicle.

No. B mode does not make it run in low gear. In B mode you have some extra Engine braking when you lift you foot from Accelerator and many features like cruise control are disabled as well.

When car is moving pressing P would shift to N with warning.
At extremely low speed Car is stopped with jerk on pressing P. Never do this.
