    Is there a company that does this outside of Chicago? Say in Silicon Valley, CA or anywhere in CA? I would love to know so I can share with friends & family.... we have way too many out of date computers sitting around.

    That is good if they just melt it down and release the toxic exhumes. Chances are used electronics are fulled with components that have leeched chemicals after have been bombarded with photons for many years. Components such as plastic cases, electronic resistors, chips, and other things susceptible to "flammable" are full with fire retardants that were spray on/applied in mass production facility that are just toxic in high concentration.

    May as well as pour concrete on it and make rocks out of it, just to be safe. I mean it came from mines and probably from rocks anyway, right?

    Nup its the Central Processing Unit anyway temorary storage is the RAM notthe cpu the cpu processes the data like it calculates what 1+1= it's the brain well the storage is the hard drive so its a bit diffrent to human

    This is why you have to killdisk your old hard drive before you remotely think about tossing the computer out, if you don't know what i'm talking about, do ur research. All i'm saying is, do a killdisk and do 3 passes on the drive, that should be more then sufficient anymore is overkill. Better yet if you wanna do a military killdisk, you'll need to killdisk your drive 32 times.

    Maybe work in the industry for a while. You cannot give away CRT monitors or tv's. Nobody wants them. The poor want flat screen tv's not crts. I own an ewaste facility and wish people would take working tv's.

    No gloves, No face masks, and smashing IC's and Capacitors with Hammers??? Are you kidding? this company will face "class action" in a few years. Do some research on what makes up the components you are smashing here!

  • @UnitedPebbles
    @UnitedPebbles 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yeah, recycled electronics are not good since it is more toxic than the newly made products, unless it have been scrapped and remade, then maybe, maybe!!
