The best podcast I've ever found in TH-cam to do shadowing practices. Thank you for the greatness of everything: perfect speed, clear pronunciation and interesting topics

My personal experience. I'm excited all about what I learn when I move abroad. The social norm , the lanscape, language, religión, weather, local tradición, food ...all is different in Central- South America. I have a sense of belonging in these countries. Months in a foreign country and participate in a new culture, even while maintain my native identity is not easy every day. I have regular interactions with the local population and my adaptation is very fast. I'm feel comfortable. I have X homes and I'm happy. I'm feeling in my element. On the other side, when I came back I have a kind of reverse culture ..people priorities, materialsme, selfishness, racisme are difficult to understand. I come from a culture ( in France ) that's more reserve and I miss the simple and warm friendliness. I still recognize that my country is a democracy and we live safety.
Thanks a lot for the podcast. Very interesting topic.

It sounds like you have a similar experience in that it's quite easy to see the negatives when returning to your own culture. I hope I didn't seem too negative in this episode. Maybe it's a common feeling!

@@LevelUpEnglishPodcast I think that we must enjoy the moments, the people wherever we are, no matter the place or the country. I'm never very long nostalgic . I keep in mind the good moments .

Thank you for so interesting video. I’d like to share my impressions of British and the UK. I’d been living for six months in Lincolnshire in a small village. I’ve never seen more friendly and smiling people than there. And the same is about local drivers. They were so patient and I’d never heard a sound of a horn on roads. If I ended up in Thailand, I would probably be shocked by comparison to Ukrainian drivers 😅.

That's really nice to hear you've had a positive experience. I suppose there's still a lot I take for granted and don't notice. I do think people in the UK are so friendly and generally very welcoming. I do love the driving in the UK too! I hope I didn't seem too negative in this episode. Thanks again though! Glad life in Lincolnshire is going well

Haha! My teeth definitely don't look too white in person (too much coffee!)
Perhaps my camera is good at showing me in a nice light.
