I enjoy Michael’s podcast a lot! Not only does he sound lovely and gentle, but the content is fantastic as well. He often discusses self-help, improving lives and health, and gaining knowledge. During each episode, I pick up new vocabulary, which is super helpful for me. Thanks, Michael; you are the best podcaster ever!

The pessimists see the difficulty in every opportunity. The optimists see opportunity in every difficulty.

In my experience with British people, they are able to stay quite strong when things are not going well rather than catastrophize the situation. Stoicism seems to be deeply rooted in most people's attitude towards dealing with life.

Interesting observation! I often hear the word 'Stoic' when talking about the British way of dealing with things, so you might be right

Pessimist sees the glasss as empty, optimist describes the glass as full and the realism involves describing the glass as it is.
    I'm rather a optimist person.
First, because I know the price of life , working in a hospital, caring people at the end of life. Second , perhaps of respect for all the people living in poverty that I meet during my humanitarian missions.
My challenge as human being is try to do as much as can.
But ... but I have to admit that some days staying optimistic is a real challenge.
Every day I listen to " Send7 podcast " from Stephen Devincenzi. It's really tough.
However I have learned to protect my mental health , in my job and my personal life. I limit my consumption of the news. And as you said Michael " If you are in own mental health, you are in a better position to help others"
This podcast is a great lesson.
    So just Thank you.

Lovely to hear the reasons behind your optimism! I think Stephen is good at sharing the news without being all "doom and gloom". Thanks for listening, Bibi!
