I was reading some bewildering comments by some people I used to be close to, and they literally do not believe any of the bad things said about him are true. You can show them video clips of him saying something horrible and they will just say, “he didn’t say that”. I think it is a combination of willful ignorance and deeply wishing for an authoritarian government.

The stock market is at an all-time high, 254,000 new jobs last month, interest rates are falling and look set to continue to fall, wages are rising, inflation is under control and faster than in the rest of the world, immigration is under control so far (we still need to pass the Border bill, because more border security will cost more money and Congress is sitting on the money) - now Trump is trying to find some new talking points. Harris is doing a great job! She does not have to be perfect - she has been learning on the run and is a quick study. The question is: Where are the Republican men of great stature in this country who could endorse her and campaign for her? Where is Mitt Romney? This is the 11th hour!

The Electoral College is an old anachronism that should either be adapted or dissolved.
Why are the votes cast in one state more valuable?
The second issue is the vast amounts of money involved through PACs and lobbying that influence political campaigns. Big corporations, business has more influence than the character, policies, and integrity of the people up for election.

I'm just struck by how Carville really doesn't have an answer to "how do you combat this misinformation?", beyond his one suggestion of Landrieu talking about hurricanes. Katie Couric asked him at least twice at about 3:30 and 5:17 mark, and it seemed to me he was still at a loss for a big strategy to counter it.
I mean, I guess it's just the now age-old problem of people living entirely in a conservative media bubble. The problem seems intractable.

It’s not true that Trump only needs GA and PA. He would have to win AZ as well as Nevada in that scenario, or replace AZ with NC.
Trump just has to win NC, GA, and PA. He will win those states easily. He's also up in AZ, WI, and MI, so even if he dropped one of those three states, he's still in good shape.

James Carville seems to really nail it. I can’t agree more that this rhetoric about campaigns losing or winning “black males” or “suburban moms” is so divisive and a bit tired. Everyone needs to stop with this “identity politics” and realize this election is about democracy/freedom vs. authoritarian rule/dictatorship. It is that simple. And I also get what Carville means when he says he can “feel” a Harris win. I always worry about jinxing it but I too can’t help but feel a strong Harris win.
