    CSR may be perceived as having tactical worth for companies. The peripheral profits of CSR are associated with its effect on corporate status. Organizations with decent social responsibility status might advance relationships with individuals.

    The approach to sustainability and corporate social responsibility showcased in this video is truly commendable. By prioritizing environmental stewardship, social impact, and ethical business practices, the company is setting a positive example for others to follow. It's inspiring to see businesses taking proactive steps towards creating a more sustainable and socially responsible future. This video serves as a reminder of the importance of corporate citizenship and the power of businesses to drive positive change in the world. Kudos to the company for their commitment to making a meaningful difference!

    Hey! May I ask you where in the Deloitte 2020 Millennial Survey you found the two statistics presented in minute 1:50 ? I've been looking through the survey now several times but I cannot find them. I want to include those two statistics in my master's thesis.
    Thanks in advance!

      It looks like I got the document wrong. I found this figure in the 2011 impact survey www2.deloitte.com/content/dam/Deloitte/us/Documents/us-citizenship-2011-impact-survey-employee-engagement.pdf in Figure 2. I updated the video description accordingly. Thanks for pointing that out!

    Hi, can you make a video about the consequences if an organization fails to embrace social responsibilities?

    • @learnsustainability
      @learnsustainability  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great idea! It would be only a list of examples or potential consequences because all organizations are different and consequences depend very much of the industry but I will definitely add this to my list!

    Hi, I want to ask about CSR. Does it still count as donating, if we get something in return?

    • @learnsustainability
      @learnsustainability  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question! Donating means the money goes to a charity and the corporation can write it off its taxes. That's all!

    70% of millennials saying that hey listed their company's commitment to the community as an influence to their decision work there and 50% of the same millennials that say they would take a pay cut to find work that matches their values - I realy wonder what this statement is based on and where to find these informations
    Personally I have never during an interview of an applicant heard the questions about sustainable energy - where the waste is being managed - if the toilet are water free, or if the company I work in has photovoltaic pannels on it's roof. I always hear these figures but no-one can produce proof of where they come from.

    • @learnsustainability
      @learnsustainability  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      As notified at the bottom of the screen during that scene, these figures come from the Deloitte Global Millenial survey 2020. It is totally possible that it does not match your personal experience.

    How is Apple not one of the most polluted companies? They have a new iPhone every year that s the same as the last not to mention an extra charger that you can’t use w nothing else 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @learnsustainability
      @learnsustainability  ปีที่แล้ว

      Apple is certainly a big polluter but all major contributors to human society are. I posted a video on a sustainability analysis of an iPhone th-cam.com/video/1OjlzJ8v9CA/w-d-xo.html Planned obsolescence is a certainly a problem but not everybody has to buy a new iPhone every year. Mine is from 2016 and it is a GREAT smartphone!
