It's when an image or in this case game gives off a lot feelings at the same time mostly in an transitional space: Uncanny, Eerie, familiar, nastolgic, etc... the beatiful thing about it is that you know when it is an liminal space based of your own feeling. I watched Manly's playthrough of the first demo and after this i have to say that i'm really excited for the full release and i feel like 2023 will be an amazing year for Horror Games because a lot of very promising games are gonna drop in full release in this year you got: Amanda The Adventurer, The Last Monday, Endacopia, 9 Childs St. and The Outlast Trials (i haven't seen the demo yet, but i'm gonna make sure to watch John's playthrough before the full game drops)
This game reminds me of happy lamu. When we're in lamu's POV, everything is a fantasy to him. The campers are even fruit heads. But once we get to our POV, its the dark creepy forest and we're running away from a demonic llama. Our friends are dead, and lamu smiles happily at you. When we're in garfield's world, we see everything is normal and heaven like. Basicially what garfield wants us to see, and what he wants home to be like. When we enter Jon's perspective, everything is reality and the house is very old and ruined. The house is burnt down, and Jon is forced to kill someone. These games similarize something. It basicially shows what each character wants the main player (You.) to see. Garfield wants you to see that nothing is wrong, and that everything is fine. Once you see Jon's world, you see you were just living in an awful dream world Garfield created for himself.

I like the idea but there's a lot of anomalies in the way the gameplay is set up like why randomly cut to a deserted version of the house just to cut your tongue off and then leave to feed a snack to a dog? i get Garfield is omnipotent but idk its weird how everything switches around like Odie buried something then you dig up what he buried and its actually Odie. I get it but its not choice. i like the seamless nature of the game where you have to do task and then hide and then do more task for the day to go back to normal to play the next part of the game. Are we gonna keep doing what Garfield wants for a gameplay loop till the end or are we gonna do side things (like finding and playing the disc) to break the loop. im excited to see
Só what i undestand about the story: basically Garfield got those power by the old relic and use to kill Otis by using Jon as a puppet then he make jonh drive to a house on the Woods and maybe he use Jon to kill the people on it, after Jon talks alot, Garfield make he rip his tongue out and use he as a servant, Jon invade other house and probably kill the person on it, after that probably Jon got very powerful so he locks the old relic and Garfield locks him waiting to someone appear and destory the relic, someone appears and Garfield ask for help, we got the garage controller from uh, someone on Otis house and we almost let Jon out, after all that hide and seek part we destroy the relic but some things still a mystery, why the toys ?, the DVD and the Tape, the gun and who is the House and the Woods and The house we invade ? I can't wait to see new stuff from this game.
