Disk breakers were very popular in the deep south essentially because of most ground being formally hard wood forrest and the beyond numerous stumps and large roots they would roll over those instead of digging in and hanging up regular moldboard plows would be a problem with continuous tripping or hang ing if the trip mechanism was bad. Hitting a stump at 4 or 5 miles an hour and sudden stop was not good

I knew it could do it! I noticed that the drawbar on the plow needs adjusting if you're going to run the A . It's set up for the H ,and the H is more suited for the #8 so leave it alone. If only you can find a two twelve bottom for the A ,you'd be set. 🧨
I had to bring out one of my old standbys today and out it to work since i am down a machine and no idea when it will get back up and running making the old 1086 sing lol
Add some rear wheel weight and you'd be golden. Had 2 140's (sold 'em) and what surprised me was the high fuel consumption. Suckers liked the go juice.
They always looked odd to me how the clutch and brakes were on the same side , I saw a few of them back in the day but mostly saw the H and M and they were always tricycle front ends .I wonder if horsepower comparison with newer tractors VS old is accurate, in as much is a new 60 Hp tractor really 50% more powerful than an old 40 HP tractor.
Good reminder for everyone to be careful. My wife lost a friend of hers a number of years ago. He was pulling a disk behind a tractor and it bounced him off the seat and onto the implement.

Don't forget there are two different series of Super A's. The early Super A's had the C113 with provision to drive the hydraulic pump from the A with no water pump. The later Super A's have a C123 which has a belt driven water pump. That version of the C123 was used last on the 130's. The 140's have a newer version of the C123 with some updates, the water pump is placed higher and also runs the fan, by doing this they were able to eliminate one belt off the front of the engine.
Thanks for mentioning about tractor flips. A lot of people have died from hocking to high or not using a proper drawbar You could do a video on tractor flips and save someone’s life. I see it on you tube where people are hooking to lawnmowers and ATV’s and they don’t recognize the danger The draw bar has to be hooked to the centre of the tractor for heavy pulling or the back axil will flip the tractor

Hahaha it is definitely contagious
little tractor does a good job
I knew it could do it! I noticed that the drawbar on the plow needs adjusting if you're going to run the A . It's set up for the H ,and the H is more suited for the #8 so leave it alone. If only you can find a two twelve bottom for the A ,you'd be set. 🧨
A 2 bottom Little Wonder
@@FarmallFanatic is that what they're called? I didn't know that.
Yep
That's cool. Been watching for awhile maybe I missed it what's up with corn still standing?
That's a little bit that I left for deer hunting and just haven't taken it down yet
Do you use a lead additive in your fuel?
Initially I did, I don't anymore
Fftgusvis my favorite video of yours takes me back to my childhood
Go little red go! 😊👍👍
I had to bring out one of my old standbys today and out it to work since i am down a machine and no idea when it will get back up and running making the old 1086 sing lol
I saw, but comments were turned off
Blew my mind , your plows are throwing dirt to the right but, your aerial shot shows it throwing to the left. Mirror image. Interestingly.
Didn't know if anyone would notice lol
Add some rear wheel weight and you'd be golden. Had 2 140's (sold 'em) and what surprised me was the high fuel consumption. Suckers liked the go juice.
I have rear wheel weights on it
@@FarmallFanatic more....
Have to load the tires
She's moving in second gear 😲💥
Perfect gear
@@FarmallFanatic sure is!
Did you wind up scoring that 130?
Sure is chuggin along just fine! BOOM
Shallow plowing, like grandad always hollered at me, "put that plow in the ground and why is it crooked?" 😆
Even at the end of the video?
2nd gear worked great👍
They always looked odd to me how the clutch and brakes were on the same side , I saw a few of them back in the day but mostly saw the H and M and they were always tricycle front ends .I wonder if horsepower comparison with newer tractors VS old is accurate, in as much is a new 60 Hp tractor really 50% more powerful than an old 40 HP tractor.
New hp doesn't stand a chance to old hp
awesome.
Good reminder for everyone to be careful. My wife lost a friend of hers a number of years ago. He was pulling a disk behind a tractor and it bounced him off the seat and onto the implement.
Wow 😯
Part 3 , must be
Farmall💪♥️
DISC'ing with the A ?????????????? ;) you DISC after plowing right??? lol see if that thing pulls that new 12 foooter disc??? ;)
Is it just me, or does the A pull a plow better than a C? Smaller tires?
this particular A has loaded tires and wheel weights
@@FarmallFanatic we have a 230 with loaded tires and wheel weights. Probably just our heavy clay soil, but it never plowed worth a nickel. 2nd gear was usually out if the question and first just doesn't do the job so well. May also be setup...it is a fast hitch 2 bottom tractor mounted plow. That tractor came out with a crude draft control, but it is long gone now. Rare to see teledepth on one anymore.
I can’t believe that it did it, not only did it but did it surprisingly well 👍 boom! Also the wife told me a tractor show today that she likes and wants a cub. I married a good woman lol
That cub with the sickle mower was nice
Is there a difference in horsepower between A and Super A?
Don't forget there are two different series of Super A's. The early Super A's had the C113 with provision to drive the hydraulic pump from the A with no water pump. The later Super A's have a C123 which has a belt driven water pump. That version of the C123 was used last on the 130's. The 140's have a newer version of the C123 with some updates, the water pump is placed higher and also runs the fan, by doing this they were able to eliminate one belt off the front of the engine.
You're really talking on average about 2 horsepower more with the super
Turnin dirt. Beep beep 😂👍🍻
Nice A...red power
Boom 💥
Same year as my H.
Need yo move your draw bar over one or two holes to the left yo get the fur wheel in the fur right.
Correct
Do you have any hay equipment
No
@@FarmallFanatic oh ok
@@MatrixMind88 getting into hay is very expensive and the people you have to deal with to sell it don't understand that fact
@@FarmallFanatic true
Thanks for mentioning about tractor flips. A lot of people have died from hocking to high or not using a proper drawbar
You could do a video on tractor flips and save someone’s life. I see it on you tube where people are hooking to lawnmowers and ATV’s and they don’t recognize the danger
The draw bar has to be hooked to the centre of the tractor for heavy pulling or the back axil will flip the tractor
Safety first
@@FarmallFanatic Thanks for the reply but you could save someone life by doing a video tractors flipping
Your awesome lol
A for awesome...can't believe the torque that lil sucker has
I am wanting to see it pulling that smaller wheel disc, if it doesn't need hydraulics to raise/lower it.
Hmm 🤔
Is that plow a 16 inch
Yes
👍👍
Let's go let's grow
💥Boom💥
