I’m putting off doing the brakes on our midget and I’m so glad I learned about the backing deal on removing the caliper bolts!! I’d be cussing them and all our viewers would have been yelling at the screen! Lol! I’m certainly shouting you out! 🤪🙌🏼
Thanks. This is the first real maintenance job ill have on my 77 Midget. Front brakes. I'll also do the lines between the body and the calipers at the same time.

Right on! It probably would have been obvious when you got there because the socket doesn't really fit on the bolt with the locking tab in place.

If you crack the bleeder while compressing the caliper it's a lot easier
