I think you can't avoid Mitch' death. Tenn kind of causes that situation, it's the consequence to his action, not to yours.

If you make Abel sweat when he asks you to not let him turn, Abel gives you more information. Enougn to avoid at least one confrontation. A password. It's not a lot but now you know.
