If you look closely his shoulder was pushed up against his face/eye so that took most of the damage. Also he was launched through like 20 buildings so his entire body is fcked lol

I really think Byakuya should have died here. The man went from treating Ichigo as an enemy of Soul Society to asking him, on the edge of death in what should have been his last request, to save Soul Society. That moment alone, brings Ichigo and Byakuya's relationship full circle and would have made for one of the best written deaths in Shonen.

Mostly because I was anime only and at the time (didn't know the Reigai arc was filler lol), it seemed like from Aizen on Ichigo was just losing, gaining, then losing his powers again. Now in this next arc, new character comes along with a whole new power system and says he can restore Ichigo's powers... AGAIN! I rolled my eyes but kept watching. Now after many years and doing a filler-less re-watch, I really like the arc overall and the change of pace from endless (to a fault) battles to a more character focused story was quite welcome. Plus with TYBW, the series no longer ends with all these un-answered questions. As for why the Fullbringers are still alive... well they're not. They're dead and went to a place where dead humans go once they die. This was established with Parakeet Boy in the first bloody season. Boy kept all his memories too so the Fullbringers that died being there makes plenty of sense to me.
King, did the Soul Society EVER give the FAINTEST of fucks about the Fullbringers? No, not really. They just made them cease and desist long enough to give Ichigo his powers back. They left them alone because they're not a credible threat. Individually they might be powerful, but none of them could threaten the Soul Society in a meaningful way, and unlike the Quincy, Fullbringers do not pose an existential threat to the system the Soul Reapers have established.
Novel content spoilers would say otherwise: pure or high level Fullbring soul subjugation allows one to control matter on the level of lvl 90 Kido, and that receiving constant attacks from a fullbringer weakens an opponent like having a Gentei Kaijou being placed on you. Sadly wasn’t as high level to show off some of these abilities. (Still no Bringer Light for him or Orihime even after the Fullbringer arc is kinda sussy Kubo.) In fact a noble house took it upon themselves to kill the group of Fullbringers Ginjou had first got together and blamed it on Ukitake cause they didn’t want their existence becoming known to the public, that being the soul society. Take the implications of things like that with a grain of salt. TYBW doesn’t use all the same effects the same way the original did. (Grimjow’s sonido to Urahara was given a Shunpo sfx. Does that mean he knows Shunpo now? Probably not).
Kubo Gets a pass from me when it comes to any Spanish related controversies, for even having characters like chad, Jackie and the entirety of the Espadas. Also he’s probably the most culturally sensitive writer in the big 3 when considering Oda’s “King Taco” and Kishimoto introduction of Killer Bee. Kubo even almost had Yoruichi be named Kuroneko but changed it because of possible controversy this man knew of twitter before it existed. Also he save a character like Oetsu after introducing an Honorable character like Tosen.
If you think that the lost agent arc is TRASH as you said, that's your opinion, period. If you start messing with other people's opinions that if they believe it's good but you don't then there can be problems. Just say you don't like and leave the ones that we liked it. That's it.
