I wanted to use my 1chip SNES for this, but its board is about 1cm longer, and does not fit into the bottom tray because of the molded tabs. I have another SNES I could use, but I really don't want to tear that one down. Very, very disappointed by this design oversight. WARNING: If you have a rare 1chip SNES, DO NOT BUY this case! Edit: Nevermind, I got it to work. Just remove the bottom shielding for the 1chip boards.
@@primetimefunkmods3 Yeah, same. Another correction: My other SNES is a later 1chip, this one was a very early SHVC 2chip with the larger board and separate sound module. Not seeing any noise or artifacts with the missing RF shielding.
my SNES had cracked in 3 screw posts due to how brittle the plastic has become. it also is no longer able to read games; i've read somewhere that the Gen1 SNES is prone to hardware issues.
Have you attempted to flush out the cart reader with isopropyl alcohol? I ended up cleaning a ton of junk out of mine when I got it. There are also cleaning cartridges available, too! The hardware is usually pretty sturdy, so that is where I would start.
he "painstakingly" threads the case screws, yet he used a slot head screwdriver on the system board philips screws... lol
I never claimed to be consistent… just pretty ;)
Hello, loved the video! Dumb question but how are you powering the EL panel?
It’s powered independently via usb!
@24:20 the trick to the spring is to hook the top part first, then stretch the bottom loop around the hook at the bottom.
Where you bought the Super Nintendo logo of the top shell?? The kit come with it?? Thanks great video
I got the logo on Etsy from a seller!
@@primetimefunkmods3 Nice I’ll check, thanks

Glad to see it got sorted.
