Request to the great Mammootty, director Ratheena and the script writer of the movie Harshad (ex activist of the Banned Islamic radical organization SIMI). If you use the same energy that you spend in exaggerating the caste issue (which is being discussed for decades in Kerala) in fighting extremism within your own religion, that would help society in a big way . It was just 2 days ago that the video of a young boy shouting shockingly communal and violent slogans in a PFI rally in Kerala went viral. Why is that this religion is so prone to radicalization globally as opposed to other religions today? Its not that other religions do not have extremists but the proportion and the violence propagated by Islamic terrorists all over the world is of such a bigger proportion. Instead of introspecting and fighting extremism, the moderates in the muslim community is putting more effort in ignoring, justifying or deflecting the elephant in the room. നല്ല മറുപടികൾ... പല ചോദ്യങ്ങളിലും ഹർഷന്റെ 'പുഴു' സിനിമയോടുള്ള രാഷ്ട്രീയ വിയോജിപ്പ് മുഴച്ചു നിന്നു, എത്ര ഭംഗിയായി അവതരിപ്പിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചിട്ടും. ഇന്റർവ്യൂവിന്റെ ഒഴുക്കിനേയും ആസ്വാദനത്തെയും അത് ബാധിച്ചപോലെ തോന്നി. ഒരു പൊളിറ്റീഷ്യനേയോ ആക്റ്റിവിസ്റ്റിനേയോ ഇന്റർവ്യൂ ചെയ്യുന്നതും ഒരു ഫിലിം മേക്കറെ ഇന്റർവ്യൂ ചെയ്യുന്നതും വ്യത്യസ്തരീതികളിൽ ആവേണ്ടതുണ്ടെന്നു തോന്നുന്നു.

It was important ask, entha thettu? I liked the question at 8:00. This is what I was thinking too. In Kerala this Bhramin superiority, is it still there ? Where? I don't think so. Nambooris as shown barley have any power in Kerala. Muslims, ezhavas, Christians, Nairs, nambooris are not in any power list.

നല്ല സിനിമ.. സിനിമയോടുള്ള അഭിനിവേശവും ആർത്തിയും കൊണ്ട് നെഗറ്റീവ് റോൾ പോലും ചെയ്യാൻ മടിയില്ലാതെ അത് ഗംഭീരമാക്കുന്ന മമ്മുക്ക. മികച്ച അഭിനയം എപ്പോഴും കാഴ്ചവയ്ക്കുന്ന പാർവ്വതി. ഓവറോൾ നല്ല direction..

മലബാറിൽ നിന്നുള്ള മുസ്ളിം വനിത എന്ന് എന്തിനാ ഹർഷൻ ചോദിക്കുന്നത്? ഹർഷന്റ ചോദ്യത്തിന്റെ അർത്ഥം മനസിലായെങ്കിലും രതീനയുടെ " മതം " അറിയേണ്ടാത്തവർക്ക് - അന്യേഷിക്കാത്തവർക്ക് ആ ചോദ്യം ഡിസ്റ്റർ ബിംങ്ങാകുന്നുണ്ട്.
Even though he welcomes her entry in cinema as a director, he is against the politics she brings forth in this particular movie. 🙂
That's why he brought consciously her Malappuram Muslim identity .He knows very well that it will limit the reachebility of her sincere voice raised through this movie in public domain . It is truly an unnecessary attribution done crucedly from the interviewer who clearly understands the current political chemistry in India...🙂
Moreover, His appreciation kunjan and Indrans on their performance is not just an appreciation for them. It is cunningly used indirectly for degrading 'somebody' whom he is not interested to. 🙂

Ratheena is understood as a woman who betrayed her husband and who was not at all grateful to her husband for supporting her, but used him to climb the ladder of success and create job opportunities. Sad. She has no right to tell stories of others when she has her own betrayal stories to narrate. I wish her movies never saw light as she has put her husband in the dark.
