New addition to the fleet! A 1996 Ford LTL9000 Tri axle, 5ek Cat, 10 speed. Clean truck and I’m happy to have it. Here’s a little video tour and test drive with it. Enjoy!

Our annual truck show (Tri State Truck Show) is a charitable organization that strives to donate money to people and nonprofit organizations most in need. 2022 our first year, we raised over $6,000 and donated the money to our local domestic violence shelter, as well as our local elementary school.

Those old Fords are great trucks that dont get enough love.
I used to haul coal with that truck back in around 1999

Great looking LTL one of my favorite trucks of all time they couldn't have been to bad of trucks with hearing your criticisms towards them a lot of them were used to haul coal amongst other things most of those trucks took quite a beating still see some being used as dump trucks .
I love them ole trucks. Got a 86 in the driveway. I need some creature comfort parts for it & a few other things but a good ole truck.

Most guys i know that drove them ford really liked them but i live in canada so those old girls are long gone
Awsome trucks. I own a 96 with a 3406c cat 425 hp in it. My only suggestion is start looking for others sitting in the weeds so you can have a supply of parts. Since ford got out of the heavy truck business parts are hard to come by. I've worked around a turbo and fan clutch that ford says only one will fit. I outsmarted their engineers .you may have to get creative if parts can't be found. I love mine and dumped 100000 into to bring her back from the dead. New frame rails, New hoist and box, new paint, new wheels, rebuild on the motor. She works side by side with new 300000 trucks making the same money and no payments. Good luck with yours, you did ok with that truck

You got a really good looking unit right there. It has a second power steering box on the passenger side so you can put those big flotation tires on now😂

Is Ford backwards? Looks like you released the parking break (by pushing it in) and got out of the truck with the brakes DISengaged. It also sounded like you set it when you pulled it (I didn’t hear it set when you pulled up) and then released it when you pushed it back in.
I drove a lot of those way back when. That black valve is for the trailer, same with the johnson bar/hand valve. The tractor brakes are below that, the sideways switch that looks like a diff lock switch or a 5th wheel slide, air bag dump switch. Never liked those trucks
unless it was replumbed, or always a straight truck

Hendrickson makes the best damn off road suspension there is.
They ride like hell but are tough.
What else do you think is better than Henrickson for a dump truck?
