They were in Ithaca NY where Colgate University is.

9'05 ep was 4 years
It was 10 years in world beyond jadis told huck
It was 13 years in the ending of 11x24
Daryl is around that timeline
Michonne found out Rick was alive in year 10
So the ones who live will be around the same timeline
Dead city is 5 years ahead you have search it up
Ok. So, when Michonne founds Rick that is about 2021 (not long after she left Alexandria, and before other there engaged The Whispereres), so since these two didn't return before original series end that had another 1yr skipp in the end, means they gonna stay in their own story line for some time. Then, Daryl which is like few months and up to a year after original series end, Carol say, someone came back, and if that was Rick or Michonne, or both, yeah..that is the timeline, either way, with them returning or not, and Carol talked about someone else..
Yeah, the weird timeline is a distinct reason why s1-8 (or 9 ep3) and 9-11 have SUCH a different feeling. I really liked how the first 8 seasons was only under the span of like 1.5 years then 3 years during the first 5 episodes of season 9, but ever since Rick left…the main show got WAY too comfortable with timejumps.
The first one was fine but then they just kept randomly jumping time in the main show (the end of s9, certain points in season 10 and 11, spanning from a few weeks and months to a year) to the point where they had to sync up the other spinoffs to fit. Something about being over 18-19 years into the apocalypse (based on Dead City) just feels…weird, especially factoring in stuff like Rick being gone for so long and the fact that after all that time in the apocalypse things really haven’t gotten TOO much better versus the comics where the majority of the story was like 4-6 years then they did one massive skip at the end showing how the world had progressed.
The stretching of the timeline is actually a big reason why after this “era” of the TV Universe is done (with everybody reuniting/taking down the CRM), I REALLY hope we get a clean slate exploring stories earlier on in the apocalypse 🙏🏾
The timeline is crazy because of all the time jumps they had to do to adjust the story. They killed Carl so had to jump years in time to age up Judith. Dead City jumped years in time to age up Herschel. I definitely think Daryl Dixon and TOWL are right around the same time.
That's a HUGE assumption...
@@austinhedges9776assumptions are literally all we have right now
I don’t care how disastrous the timeline is, they better reunite Rick with his whole family and friends. On screen
Right because I'll have to hunt down gimple or whoever and deal with them, I did not wait all these years to be left hanging
In regards to World Beyond, they had a research faciltiy in New York state, not NY city. It was stationed in Ithaca along with a base camp. However, with much of the research facility destroyed and having all of their scientists flee, I'm not sure they would have necessarily continued to use it
Yeah it is confusing, I believe that Dead City takes place after the fall of CRM so that they can move on from the CRM arc once the ones who live and the major crossover series happens. So this allows for Negan and Maggie to show up in the current timeline at commonwealth. Only thing is that it would be hard not to mention anything about it during season 2 of dead city.
Dr Bennett was in NY. He was near Cornell College in Ithica NY..which is way way far away from New York City. But yes timelines are way messed up!
I think the thing that really fucked everything up was Fear the Walking Dead. That show was so inconsistent it was hard to tell where the universe was timeline wise. The main series-wise, I feel like is pretty easy to understand, especially the first 9 seasons. The show's length is about as long as the length of the show itself, 12 years. World Beyond was right before the end of Dead, Tales was at the beginning and in the middle, except for that one episode in Maine which was confirmed to take place in 2025, and TOWL and Daryl seem to be within 2-3 months of the ending. Dead City is interesting because it does seem to be 2-3 years out of the original, but it wasn't that confusing, at least to me. Fear though was a big head scratcher.
Only thing ik for sure is Rick woke up sometime during S3 of Ftwd and S8 of Fear had a time jump which placed it in the same time as S11 of twd
Daryl was in Maine before France snooping around looking for Rick but he had to go from Virginia through Pennsylvania ( Philadelphia where Rick is ) and New York ( nyc ) the timeline makes it so he wouldn’t have met up with Maggie and negan yet but how did he not find anything in Philadelphia?????
gimple don’t even know
Best way to put it in Ricky’s words from TPB “ the whole thing is fucked”
They should have made it vauge to avoid all this confusion and leave the fans to speculate about it based on certain characters ages.
Back of the dead city Blu ray I’m pretty sure it says 2 years since the end of the walking dead
That's also what JDM and the showrunners said around the time it came out. So, where people are getting 5 or 6 years is beyond me.
And we haven't even talked about Morgan and where he is at this point. Or the WB kids. 😂
another thing u gotta remember is the crm base is in Philadelphia and to get to new york u gotta go around Philadelphia or though it so maybe by the time dead city takes place rick has already came back and the crm is taken down by this point
The timeline didn't matter... Until it did and now it's fucked. I used to be able tot ell you exactly when every season was, but now I can't do the math each time. It doesn't have to be perfect but it needs some sort of sense
Of course it's confusing but i think they could manage to connect timelines together into some story of TWD characters reuniting and preparing to fight with CRM and other big groups (maybe some progress with defeating Wildfire virus included too)
Talking about rick and Daryl meeting the pictures of Norman and Andrew that was posted Norman looks like he’s dressed how Daryl was dressed in his show
They were outside Albany NY at the crm research facility, and the university they mentioned was Cornell, which was just mentioned to maybe have lab equipment they could use for continuing their research at the mall they ended up in at the end of world beyond. But it was all close to Albany where the crm was
They'll never be able to mesh these shows together as a whole unless DC is regarded as its own thing.
Back when they announced the series, it was made pretty clear from everybody involved that it would - at its core - be an exploratory piece about grief, and the two characters involved.. whatever connections it might have only really got talked up by the fans.
I get that plans change, and Gimple certainly hasnt helped matters with his waffling about these shows.. but the fact is: unless they either wrap things up in "Dead City", or let it be its own thing.. it'll never make any sense timeline wise.
Personally.. im OK with them having whatever reunions and whatnot between the OG's in the Daryl show - and leaving out Maggie and Negan entirely.. its either that or just disregarding that things arent adding up.
The picture of the face at the calling center behind Rick grime is a picture of vincet vango and if you know the story about him he is missing his left ear got cut off that’s a big hint!!! From Philadelphia and seen that wall before
I think they meant New York State not New York city
I very curious to see how there going to handle the timeline
I don't think they would have made the radio pause or whatever if they weren't gonna say Rick came back
I think they're timing things so that when Judith's actress is in her early 20s she'll be able to lead a next gen flagship show with rick/daryl/carol/maggie/negan as the old wise advisors a la herschel
I think that TOWL will kind of be one season and kind of not. I think the 6 episodes we get will stand on their own and focus on explaining what rick's been doing and him escaping the CRM with Michonne. It will be the end of rick and Michonne in the sense that Michonne will die and Rick will walk into the sunset with her in his memory.
I could see a season 2 in a couple years down the road though, with Rick reuniting with Morgan. It'd basically turn into the next big TWD show since fear and feature the crossovers and everything. That'd fit the broader "ones who live" title, with season 1 having the nickname of "Rick and Michonne".
they're jumping back and forth because everybody is aging. I hate when a show or movie does a prequel but they've aged ten years
I think dead city should have been last
I think Dead City is ahead because it’s used to build up a bigger story with Negan, it hints that maybe Negan forms a saviors-like group again with that crazy lady The Croat was working for. Maybe the CRM, The Croat’s people or Negan go to Alexandria hence Carol saying someone’s back. Maybe Rick is back. And maybe Maggie and Negan too. But not for a good a reason. It feels like everything’s coming together. They delved further into operation cobalt on the Rick spin off on just the first episode. I think people just need to see the bigger picture. Of course it’s flawed. Suddenly we have variant walkers like it’s nothing and I’m hoping Morgan or even Viktor Strand is involved in The One’s Who Live. I feel like Viktor knows about operation cobalt right..?
TWD has to have the worst timeline in any show 😭
And Ftwd ya know Morgan left to look for Rick . Where is he in the timeline ?
Well Norman Reedus was wearing Daryl's staged clothes on the set so tells me were getting a reunion
I feel he ones who live with the CRM sets up the endgame
Dead city s1 is 2028 daryl dixon s1 is 2023 and the one who lives in rhe présent days is 2023 2024
Now that FTWD’s timeline seems to mean shite, I agree on you’re other points and NYC’s CRM connection would really be a waste if not being used as a means to bring DC into the rest of the overall CRM war that we are all awaiting. I feel we are going to need to connect all of our characters to fight off this enemy. Also, we’d like reunions of sorts.
I don't think rick is gonna leave crm I think he will take over crm, not cr but crm. And I think the facility where Bennet was. Was in new York, and it was destroyed.
The college was in upstate new York not New York City
Amazing Video Dan,All We Know is That Daryl Dixon is 13 Years Into Zombie Apocalypse and Dead City 19 Years in,We Don't Know About The Ones Who Live.
They mentioned more than once that it’s been 12 years in Daryl Dixon.
@@OWmyDragonballz No,After The Time Jump in 11×24 They Were 13 Years in Zombie Apocalypse so Daryl Dixon is 13 Years in.
@@milutinlekovic7392 Watch Daryl Dixon. Not much time has passed from the end of TWD to Daryl.
@@OWmyDragonballz I Said it is Same Timeline For Both Last Episode of TWD and Daryl Dixon.
@@milutinlekovic7392 and I’m telling you that in Daryl Dixon they directly state it’s been 12 years twice.
Hey naa walking dead conspiracy here but what if Daryl makes a deal with Jonathan because oorr the commonwealth Darryl does have 10000 people behind but what if Janet and negan have a deal going it makes sense because of Janet's power and capability
A good point 👍🏻
You're right. Within a few years discrepancy, I don't care.
obviously obvious and make it make sense are my favorite lines from this vid
I'm excited for the ones who live
I was just saying this it doesn’t add up
The lack of continuity in the universe is super aggravating. The timelines are crazy, having things go on like Dwight go back to the Sanctuary (in no time at all) and not end up encountering the Commonwealth which are operating in the area now, and there is a random group who are also not deterred by the Commonwealth. Then… Daryl drives from Virginia to Maine and doesn’t encounter CRM (that should not be an off-screen event if it happened), then Carol does the same… it is like the writers pay no attention to what is happening in the other series.
Time jump just to have an older Herschel - who cares how old he is?
At least Dead City and Daryl are well made and enjoyable to watch. With FTWD and TWB being so bad, you never know what you’re going to get. Hopefully TOWL is good, but I can’t say I’m not a little worried!
its all opinion at this point and everyone has a different one
Dc is only supposed to be set 2 years after the main show so it's easier connected than it seems lol if handled well
Not quite.
The 2 year thing was something that got thrown out during an interview - prior to that the word was that it was 5+ years.. and at this point its anyones guess.
Hershel is (at least) 5-6 years older than in the S11 finale - Negan outright says that he and Annie lived a few years outside of New Babylon.. and Joshua was apparently old enough to be on the road, at least somewhat - he's definitely past the toddler stage.
Negan also did a long stint (around a year) on a farm working as a farm-hand after killing the 5 guys that he's wanted for (Ginnys dad among them).. so thats another year added on.
And thats not even taking into account that both characters LOOK visibly older - Negan more so than Maggie, but still.
2 years makes a lot less sense given the actual show than 5+
That wouldn't make sense considering Hershel is a teen
What about FEAR THE WALKING DEAD ????????????????????????????
What about it?
Season 1-3 takes place months into the apoolypse, Season 3 ends the same day the CDC exploded in S1 of TWD
Season 4 takes place after TWD s8 a like couple years in (2 or 3)
5 takes place im pretty sure at most half a year later
6 has alot of timejumps but i think it takes place a year or 2 later
7 takes place like.... a few months later? maybe a year
S8 Timejumps to catchup to the end of s11
It’s so weird that dead city didn’t mention anything about Rick being back ? Makes me think maybe he doesn’t come back no way Maggie wouldn’t know
dead city is like 5 years ahead or something and there's no mention of rick so that means that rick and michonne aren't back or something?
Where would a Rick being back mention even make sense?
Nowhere.. its a product of people vastly overestimating Ricks bonds with everyone - him and Maggie were never really close after Glenn died, and him and Negan? The less said, the better.
Harping on about it as if either of them would drop everything and storm off to see him is some nonsensical shit. I get the sentiment, of course.. but really, it's a fools errand to think that every single character revolves around Rick.@@jw9945
@@vampyre_with_a_suntanexactly Rick was only close to his wife, kids and Daryl
@@IletyouliveRick was also very close to Maggie, Carol, Gabriel, and Aaron...people he wasn't that close to were Tara, Rosita and Eugene. But yeah, Michonne, the kids and Daryl are definitely the ones on top.
Disasterpiece
Pretty sure dead city takes place 1 year after 1124 ending. So it’s basically 2 years. And pretty sure that doc in season 2 was at Cornell university in new york
