The fact that Maggie talks about expanding and looking for more communities think she just wants to tag along with Negan adventure to New York but on the other hand she looks a lot more pissed off and bad ass in dead city so something might have happened to her too

I don't know exactly how Negan gets taken out in the comics, i've never read them. Hell maybe he doesn't get taken out and im remembering something wrong. Either way though, I'm so glad the show kept him. Honestly he's such an amazing character with one of the best redemption arcs and some of the best character building ever. JDM deserves awards for his time as Negan

Rick slashes his throat by surprise just as negan has a realisation of wrong doing. But then saves him an keeps him in prison. Maybe you got confused by that
@@Tabbychu He doesn't die. Basically what happens is that he begs Maggie to kill him, but she's just disappointed of how much of sad person he's become, so she let's him live and then she leaves. You never see Negan again in the comics. In the last issue, you see Carl dropping food off in house/neighborhood and all he knows is that the food is getting eaten. You see a tombstone that says Lucille and that's it. In the author's notes, it reads "ps, Negan lives" so it's understood he is still alive, living alone and doesn't interact with any of the survivors. Really sad ending for Negan tbh.

Negan sent Judith her compass back. I assumed Lydia brought it with her from Alexandra.
Something that I noticed watching the Spanish version of the last episode is that when Negan and Maggie are talking about killing Pamela, and he tells her he's sorry for killing Glenn, he says something about his wife. I think it may be a mistake in translation, but he actually says "when I was on my knees, when I lost my wife". And in the original version he says "When I was about to loose my wife".
It's strange cuz we didn't see Annie at all in the last episode...

In English he is just mentioning the episode prior to when the Commonwealth guards lined him up. We havent seen her die, pretty sure she is alive

I agree with you James. It makes no sense that he would revert to old negan after having a baby and a wife. Something may of happened to them. I can't see Maggie working with any version of negan that resembles his past.

Maybe Hershel, Annie and his kid are all taken to N.Y.C and that is why they team up and it extends his redemption but Maggie both Reigns him in and starts to understand that sometimes his old way, does work, like Negan said, its not about killing, its about killing the right people, in the wrongest way possible, maximum impact to deliver a point as Dwight said

Maggie actually told Negan that "some" days she will not be able to work with him so he needs to understand that.

I think we've had enough time skips, it only makes connecting things that much harder. I'm done saying universe because they have had years to make one and keep making things more disconnected. Still stoked for the show regardless though lol

Negan doesn't wear his wedding ring on photos so i think annie left him (she is not died because negan will wear his wedding ring if she died like maggie does with her ring). Maybe it is for this reason that negan going back to old ways.
I don't think negan will turn back to how he was. He made peace with himself. That was the whole point of the Here is negan episode.
Negan wasn't a bad guy just for the sake of it. He wasn't too far gone like the Governor.
That's why I think the governor makes the better villain, because he never redeemed himself, and put on an act infront of everyone else that didn't know him.
Negan was always open about who he was. He also had good qualities about him such as his humour in TWD.
I think Negans wife and child will die and him and Maggie become a couple.

Second reason. They don't have any connection like that.
Third reason. I wouldn't like it/nor do I think it would go down with most of the viewers.
'It would be better if...' should be the last tagline of the show, it was a great final episode, and a fair share of emotionally manipulation, but the biggest problem for myself, they rushed and watered down the commonwealth arc as a whole, in favour of the extra episodes and a full half season on the reapers... worst off all the very obvious set ups sprinkled in.
Dead City is 3-4 years post episode 24 - the finale has a 12 month timeskip with no indication that Maggie and Negan has had any interactions in that timespan - and DC is another 2 or so following that timeskip .. so 3 years; at a minimum.

I wish they would go back to the start for a couple of reasons..
Feels like we as the consumer are being fed the same old stuff but that's same with movies at the mo.
They're stretching out that world way too thin.
Going back to the start was when the story was arguably the best and most exciting and definitely full of most possibilities.
They can go in a completely different direction, one that doesn't repeat itself every season.
I prefer the scavenger survival aspects of the original few series, the later middle series feel a bit cheap and tenuous in their story lines.
They could also go back to a few key characters rather than a load of meh actors that we don't care about.

So AMC/Gimple and Disney/Feige are both trying to adapt to streaming the TWDU and the MCU to this new way of viewing their respective franchises. The difference is that I really don't see Gimple having the same level of respect that Feige has. I loved Gimple's writing (The Grove etc) but he needs to be replaced.

With the time skip and not showing Negan after his child should have been born wonder if he gave away the compass to Judith knowing he was leaving cuz something happened to his child and wife causes him to stay away from commonwealth
I think Negans wife and child will die which then causes a complicated romance situation between him and Maggie where they grow close through shared trauma.

After their ending in the main show, I see no reason for this show. I don’t see where else they can take their arcs.

JDM is correct. Truthfully season 11 was really good. The way the Reapers came and how the Commonwealth story ended. But a lot of it was ruined because anytime something got suspenseful it was dead because" SPINOFF" Flashed. So you knew those characters were ok. Then if you didn't have AMC plus. Every week was toucher trying to avoid spoilers. And the only complaint I had overall was each story got fast tracked. Everything seemed to get rushed. Lance and Sebastian's deaths. The end of Pope 🤣. They could have promoted the spinoffs without saying which characters are going to star.
