I’m from all the way up north in Finland🤭 I found your chanel couple of weeks ago when i just surf through TH-cam watching knife and axe videos, and i loved your positive attitude and passion to your Job, what i actually think is not job it’s way of life to you😁 I am welder in company which make Tapio Harvesters… I am also passioned hunter and i love being in forest and wilderness with my Finnishspitz and family… My wife calls me ”mehtäpöykäri” it means some kind of Forest lunatic or wilderness maniac who don’t fit in town or city centrals and look like he is allways coming or going in woods🤭 Thank you so much for your content! Your videos give me allways good mood and make me smile🤘🏻 I love people who are passioned to something! And i have similar childhood and school way with you🤘🏻🤘🏻
I am a 69-year-old new subscriber from California. I am a city girl but I simply love watching you quickly figure out what you are going to do. Everything you say sounds like a foreign language to me but I am working to figure it out little by little. Your personality, energy, positivity, and humor lift my heart and I love watching you work! Thank you!
Buckin.. you and the boy, the whole family for that matter are making a huge difference in the world. You're a great example of doing what you love, having a servants heart and being humble with what life throws at you. You impact people who don't even cut trees for a living, yet I've seen folks follow you just for your fruits of labor and positive outlook. Incredible difference you're making. Keep it up Billy!
I love the community around this channel, I also love the channel to, Buckin and Hogan are such humble gents. I don't comment often but it's genuinely refreshing and rewarding coming here and reading the comments and listening to Buckin spread the word of love. My first place I go to unwind and recharge. Keep spreading the word Buckin, love conquerors all!!
Appreciate your honest approach to tree cutting. You do what you do with careful thought (mostly, he-he), patient approach, and dogged determination. Obviously you enjoy your work. From the gal who cuts down smaller trees, thanks for the vid.
So thanks for all your videos. They teach me a lot, more than I may be using. Here is a rooky talking from Holland, Europe that is. We bought a house in Southern France and there is lots of forest around here. I bought an acre, and the nextdoor neighbours let me chop trees as much as I like. I concentrate on the ones at the end of their life and the nextdoor farmer lets me attack all the trees that are in his way. So far so good, no dangerous moments and I am getting used to all the exitement in the forst.
Hello everyone i am new here, i joined about 1 month ago.I love this channel this man has tought me a lot about life, and that video about his injury is really aducational.I mean he is a savage and his son is very lucky to be bucky's son, i would love to spare one day with them it would be really cool, because they are really good people, i mean we need more people like these, in the country where i live people arent so kind, by the way I live in Georgia-Tbilisi, so when i see this kind of people on youtube this makes me really happy so dont stop and keep doing what you do!!!

Just Kim from Edmonton, Alberta. My Aunt used to live at Sooke. My family lived at Ft. St. Jon before we moved to the hamlet of Muncho Lake at Muncho Lake Provincial Park in 1961-64. I learned my love for trees playing in the forest and canyon behind our place. Went to school in a 1 room school with 16 kids in it.
Hey Billy, I love seeing your crew in your videos with you. They all seem to feed off that positive attitude you keep pumping into all of us. The crew seems to really look up to and admire you and your skill. Thanks for the fantastic video today friend.
As always Great Work! A 66 yr old from Georgia, I cut down a 23 inch / 80 ft dead pine next to my barn today! I used some things I learned from you! :) Everything went according to plan! I didn't like it being dead and nearly all the branches being on the barn side (opposite direction) I used my slingshot to put my throwline and then a heavy rope 60 ft up and put some tension on it with my tractor. Thanks for all you do!! liked ! Subbed !
Job well done Buckin’! Saw sounds sweet. You gotta understand some of us are just like you and never get enough cutting so thank you for posting videos we get to enjoy! Dude you have THE BEST TH-cam channel on the internet. We’re living in some crazy times, and it seems like everywhere you look there is anger and confusion and pain and resentment. People don’t seem to want to listen to one another and actually stop and think about what their words mean to others and what we’re all trying to do here on the planet. And then there’s this little TH-cam channel of a woodsman just doing honest work and taking great pleasure in it, and he is truly a soldier of love and kindness. I just want to thank you for what you’re doing, man. I don’t work with trees. I’m a structural firefighter and advanced EMT in a city in Alabama. I really appreciate your Message and what you’re doing man. Thank you so much.
Of coarse you are a drummer!!! It makes perfect sense! ❤️😇 That’s why you have such good rhythm with the world around you! Love you Bucky!! You are a great man, and I am happy to watch your life story unfold! Thanks for sharing!

Hello Buckin pleasure to see you on this beautiful day God gave us 🙏🏽❤️👍🏼🙌🏽 Hello Buckin army!. Hope y’all have a beautiful one ☝🏼 keep up the great job y’all!
HELLO Friend, we are Joe and Kira, from Rio Linda/Sacramento, ca. We whole heartedly enjoy your channel and all of the helpful, instructional videos you put out on so many practical subjects from replacing ax handles to wedging a tree, so thank you friend. We especially appreciate your quest of kindness, so much so friend that we are your kindness warriors, here to your south spreading the gentle messages that act as reminders of who we want to be and can be as ourselves in this world, and with kindness on our sides, anything is possible so thank you for that also friend. And, we are your biggest fans in the quasi cosmopolitan Sacramento basin, if not your biggest fans in California. We watch your channel daily and we have been for about a year or there abouts, and have introduced your channel to at least 25 people between us, but this is the first time we are introducing ourselves. So we are spreading the wise words, and daily reminders of kindness, as well as a vocabulary of your words and terms of which we are naming "Buckinadian" in homage of buckin crossed with your Canadian location, out of respect and love for "our" bucking Billy Ray Smith a true inspiration from our friend from the North right here in sunny for the most part Sacramento, California. The following are our questions.... 1. Can you please explain and show us again what is the palm swell, and the back stop? 2. Would you be so kind in showing us a really good visual of your bicycle sharpening wheel and how its set up? 3. Do you find that double bit axes break the handles more often than single bits? 4. Have you ever been to see the gigantic redwoods, and sequoias native to our fair state? 5. Can you please do the rock a tutti dance, it was so funny, and kira said you looked so cute doing it, even our friend Steve says you're a highball...lol
Love the saws, love the work, but I LOVE the smell of cedar so I'm jealous you get to work with these big trees. We don't have too many where I am but I love working with it. Great stuff!
I just did 6 cedars like that hanging over an old hotel, spooked me, so I rigged them up with 3/4 bull rope and ended up wedging them anyway, I always cut like the rope dosen't exist. I was really impressed how heavy the wood was, pro mac 700 for felling and the 1050 homelite for stumps. Thanks for showing wedge work.
Carrollton, Texas here retired Electronics Tech, Network admin/security. Born in a very rural town in Virginia grew up cutting down trees for camp fires. Learned an important lesson at about 11 years old look up. We only cut dead trees and the top of this one was rotten. Tree starts down top folds back in the opposite direction and hits me good cut open the top of my hard head. Thank God it was a small tree and that the wood was rotten because it was so light
I have watched your videos on Filing and I have learned a lot from you and when it comes to the Notchs you cut in the trees for cutting it down and i just want to say thank you for making your videos and keep it going i have been learning a lot i watched your videos all the time and I from burt Michigan and someday I would like to get a axe from you
Lord God Almighty I do so LOVE to watch you cut!! It’s PURE ART!! I’ve been gone a few weeks here...busy as all get out...but I’m back and it’s TIME to BINGE on Buckin Billy! What a beautiful fall!!
I wish I found your channel a long time ago! I subscribed when you had about 90,000 and now you are over 140,000, good for you! We left Newfoundland for a trip across Canada two years ago in our 18 year old Roadtrek and after Alaska we went to Vancouver Island, it would have been a privilege to meet you and your son, that said, I'm hoping we'll travel across again while on the top side of the sod! Best regards, Gary.
Those last few seconds of the tree falling is so cool. It's all most like it floats up and away from stump. Another great motivating video. Good stuff!!!
I have been watching you for awhile and I am more impressed with your logging belt every video that I finally got myself one. Keep up the good work Buckin'
I tried your way of sharpening a chain on my power saw today because I am new to hand sharpening and it worked perfectly thank you so much for the tips you are the man buckin keep the wood flying and the axes swinging brother
Hey! Good tip about where to wedge, not on the flares. I've been cutting over 20 years and you're the only other cutter I've ever heard say that - 10/10! SD in the UK!
Good Job with the treework. I'm a climber in lakeland Florida, use to climb in SD,MN,IA. You have slot of saws, and your Ax videos are pretty cool too. Keep Yourself , @least Bucked in. Can't wait to see a video with you and your son in the same tree Stay Safe Friend

@@clayhudson8892 question is how do you make a tree fall in the direction it's not leaning towards?
@@The_Totes_Adorbs you ask it nicely.

I think he showed in one clip. Your only option is to climb up it and cut off piece by piece with a chainsaw, as you're moving down the tree.

Buckin I love your videos, no extra bs or fancy editing feels like I’m just hanging out watching a friend cut down a couple trees!
Welcome! To the comments area
Hope to see you some more!
Glad you are enjoying the Buckin Billy Ray experience!

Sending Love from Chico, California - USA. Love your videos and how you call us “Friends”. Makes me actually believe you’re talking to me. :)
Well done Buckin! You're a brave and intelligent guy. Keep the videos coming 👍
Super 1050 rocks!

Welcome to the channel my friend!!!
Those last few seconds of the tree falling is so cool. It's all most like it floats up and away from stump. Another great motivating video. Good stuff!!!
I have been watching you for awhile and I am more impressed with your logging belt every video that I finally got myself one. Keep up the good work Buckin'

Thanks for all the info on cedar trees and their needs when cutting them down. I have 4 cedars to cut down and the info will be extremely helpful.
Hey! Good tip about where to wedge, not on the flares. I've been cutting over 20 years and you're the only other cutter I've ever heard say that - 10/10! SD in the UK!
Welcome!
