Found out the hard way, keep it filled! Yeah it was me. Helps to take the bottom plug out and let it drain to help bleed the air out, too. Appreciate all your help, Curt! I had to take a level off as it was too tall for my basement. ARS sells the base with wheels separately as well as levels. I'm thinking of getting another base and a few more levels and splitting them so I don't have to get up on a ladder to deal with them.

What method do you use to fill your food hoppers? A 2 qt scoop is just is clunky as hell and using a scrap piece of flooring is working for now.

Great video, not gonna lie though you should change your water line at least once, maybe even 2ce a year especially if your using filtered sink water bc it builds up this grit even if you don’t let it run out. And your rats will be drinking contaminated water bc the amount of build up of gunk in your lines... so definitely if you breed rats change your water lines at least once a year, maybe even 2 times, the water lines are not expensive at all, alittle pain in the butt to do but your rats health is important and also equates to your snakes health being good. No one really mentions that and it’s an important thing to do, and if you haven’t, why don’t you stop the water from flowing. Pull out one of the lines and cut it in the middle, not right where the metal nipple pulls out but alittle further down and you’ll see how much build up there really is and grime
