    My mechanic said that the quality of Monroe struts/shocks in recent years is slipping. Advised KYB is highest quality for consumers use.

    Thank you so much for this video. I was trying to figure out how to get the sway bar link to line back up.

    AutoZone is recommending to remove the axle nut. Someone else says they had a problem with the axle because they didn't remove the nut, but didn't say what the problem was. Any clue?

      I do not see a need to remove the axle nut .

    Just want to thank you for taking the time to make this video! I love my RX and it's approaching 100k so I'll have to replace this stuff soon. This looks SUPER simple, and I like doing it myself whenever I can. What kind of shape were the bushings in?

    • @KonaBlueSVT

      Yeah, it was fairly simple.. The bushings were in decent shape still.

    Thanks for the video! I am going to order the Monroe 37361 and 172765/ 172766. Some people have noted that the rear do not quite fit properly. Lexus lists 2 different OEM part numbers for Japan and Canada built.
    Could you please let me know if your vehicle is Japan or Canada built? If you look in the drivers door jamb sticker, your VIN will start with J if Japan and 2 if Canada. Did you have any trouble with the rear upper part of the shock being too big for the bracket?

      This was a customer vehicle, I had no problem with the fitment of the parts I ordered.

    I didn’t use Allen wrench to tight my sway bar link. Wondering if that could cause clunking noise when I drive? Everything is tight when I double check. I bought Monroe struts

    • @KonaBlueSVT

      Its possible. If you know you didn't tighten it, I would definitely go back and do that.

      I’m searching on advanced auto parts and what is air stabilizer and without air suspension? Any info would be helpful, thanks guys

    • @KonaBlueSVT
      @KonaBlueSVT  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@hdom08 Some of these had air suspension, but most did not. The easiest way to tell if yours does, look at the front and rear suspension and see if there is a small air line running to them. If there is no line going into the side, then you do not have the air suspension. Hope this helps!

    had my alignment done over 3 times on my lexus rx350. And today i took a look at my struts and that rubber hose is torn into pieces.. could that be the issue why my lexus alignment cant be done correctly? Bad struts caused alignment issues? I already checked everything else looks ok. Ball joints,tie rods, all ok.

    • @KonaBlueSVT
      @KonaBlueSVT  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Which hose are you talking about? Suspension is important when it comes to alignment.

      It is possible if it is worn out enough that it causes the strut to be loose that it is contributing to the problem. The alignment shop should be able to tell you for sure. Another common thing I see is people driving in areas with really rough roads, off curbs, etc that knock vehicles out of alignment.
