Shes got a job at Lebedev Global Q (from deus ex human revolution the missing link) says. I'll ty to find her.
ABSOLUTELY! Always save Malik! You need to take them down relatively quickly, within about 1 minute or so, especially the snipers & the heavy weapons guys first..once they are down, the game will relax a bit on letting you follow-up with the others..provided you don't take more than about 2 minutes or so.. If you fail, you will hear her injured on the comm..but if your quick enough, and use powerful weapons that take each enemy down quickly or in immediate single shots or blasts, and you don't pause in destroying them at all..keep moving & keep the smash up, hunt them all relentlessly..you are NOT their target..they are all YOURS! I generally find the Magnum Revolver, (especially with its Explosive rounds package attached!), the most effective for this, the sniper rifle is next best.. No pauses between kills that aren't strictly necessary to keep Jensen from harm, or swapping or reloading weapons..and you'll get it. This doesn't sound like much time, but once your familiar & accurate with your weapons & actions..it's plenty of time.. Then they'll drop a bot, which is also ridiculously easy to nulify..one EMP will do it..and your done. Malik tells you she's got the VTOL flyable enough to take-off, and does so..after a thanks. And you go enjoy looting the entire site & all enemies of all treasures, weapons & ammo..you'll likely be full of everything before your ready to leave & get on the elevator.. Just know that once you do, you can't return to this location. Anything left here is lost. Enjoy!
You can save Malik in human revolution if you move quickly and kill all enemies before they get to her chopper, otherwise she surely dies and her augments is ripped, her neural chip etc by that augments scavenger that collects them. This Easter Egg is a nod to those that saved her.

Fun fact, the keypad code to Jensen's apartment is also 0451. There's nothing that tells you this in-game. I just randomly decided to try it just to see, and sure enough, it worked. To leave the apartment without unlocking the door, use the computer to lock the doors, and then exit through the laundry room window.

As a Czech person I found tons of cultural reference and hints - good work to team creating this game, but on the other side, almost any use of written language and names (voice over is pardoned, because I understand financial and manpower constrictions) is stab in my hart, because in the its game inescapable and is almost as bad, as if eastern European trying to use English based only on half year of study and google translator (and no, authors HAD all necessary information from Czech side, but it was routed thru Polish company and deemed as irrelevant or so, and it ends how it ends). I know I'm so late on this video but went back for a playthrough of it and wanted to watch this. And I thought I would let you know that in human revolution if you stay with the girl pilot you could save her.
I don't know if this _actually_ happened or if I was hearing something from the TV in the other room- and I have no way to back this up since I wasn't recording at the time (and don't have a software that saves the last x minutes of screen capture and audio when a hotkey combo is pressed) but I was doing a later mission where you have to infiltrate the Dvali-run theater in the red light district. While going through the apt complex there, I stumbled across a henchman just watching tv in one of the apartments....so I came up behind him and shot him point blank in the head. After the typical "death groan", I could *swear* I heard him weakly say _" 'Tis but a scratch...."_ after getting shot in the head ._. can anyone else confirm whether or not that was one of the randomly-chosen npc death sounds from the list that it randomly chooses from anytime you kill an npc?
I think the penguins are a reference to Deus Ex: Invisible War. You visit the Antarctic in the game, There are developer quotes about not cutting the penguins from their development, and they have flaming penguins at an easter egg ending of the game.
I definitely saved Malik in the first game, she took off and thanked me, later she evacuated the kidnapped scientists in her helicopter when I liberated them. You just have to run through very quickly and take everyone out before they destroy the helicopter, I recommend the stun gun since you can one-shot the heavy armor guys with a body shot, also take out the mech right away with an emp grande, then finish off the snipers. Later you can kill the sleeping guys just out of spite if you're doing a lethal run. I later go on the city and kill all the cops just for revenge, what did Malik ever do to them ?

Malik is shot down by a Belltower operative with a rocket launcher. Malik attempts to repair her crashed VTOL, as it is under fire by Belltower troops. When Jensen defeats the Belltower troops to allow Malik to patch up the VTOL and take off, Malik says: "And...thanks, Spy Boy," then Jensen responds, "Any time, Fly Girl." But you have to defeat those troops as fast as you can otherwise she will die, it won't affect the story , but for the veterans of Deus EX , making every right decision is a must .
I've met a lot of people who had no idea that you could even save some characters of the franchise, like JC Denton's brother Paul. Many people would assume that they'll die regardless because they didn't poke around enough.
