Spicy hot takes: 1. As cool as the klassic skins are, I would rather have brand new skins, like those Earthrealm skins that Kitana, Mileena, and Reptile got. 2. I think DLC characters should be ONLY guest characters, as I believe MK characters should always be made base roster. 3. DLC MK characters should never be ones that were available in the base roster of the previous game (i.e. Mileena from MKX-MK11 and now Noob Saibot from MK11-MK1) or be made DLC more than once (i.e. Rain and Shang Tsung).
I think klassic skins should've prioritized only 3D Era (+ NRS) at first and then later Arcade era stuff. Especially since it was known the UMK3 Ninja skins were for Kameo Scorpion at first when datamined. I also say it as a bias since I love how Armageddon Scorpion is essentially evolved from UMK3 Scorpion (which already had changes in MK4 that would become staples of Scorpion's design, especially the skull badge and skull emulating mask.). About the bias against the 3D era, it's why I really dislike when engagement posts constantly talk about how MK9 skins will never come back due to their design nature when we recently got Deception Mileena and so on, it really tells a lot about how much attemption some of the fans pay to the true reason why 3D era skins often get neglected for (just lack of popularity.) I think the story mode is fine, very entertaining but heavily full of missed potential for ideas (especially in terms of how previously non canon tower endings easily lend themselves to be canon via de multiverse bs). I think some of the new skins, be it union of light or order of darkness shouldn't exist and should've had a classic skin as a stand-in for those instead, allowing some to be fully original to invasions mode and others unlockable via story mode. For example in story mode most of the Titan Shang Tsung Timeline fighters should've outright been their mk11 designs (seeing as his world was derived from that) while the dark summons from other timelines could've been a mix between new skins and klassic ones thrown in, same for the light side. I think it'd be ideal if for a 3rd story expansion we focus mostly on the new era and that's it, no more multiverse bs, that part of the story line has seemingly come to an end. I wish they had taken some time to finish the game so Quan-Chi and Ermac were main roster fighters from the start, so there'd be some neat space for others besidees Takeda to be there fittingly. The game sorta is playable without kameos, a lot of kameos for example serve the function of setting up aereal kombos that you can do with some of the non uppercut launcher attacks in the main game. Atleast the way I play it that is, so to me kameos sometimes feel optional. The customization being downgraded from MK11 is disappointing and probably one of the main things I do actually dislike from the game. I think that's all I can think of lol.
When I thought of klassic skins I thought of mk2/umk3, I didn't think of 3d era skins as klassic. Edit: I should say that's what I thought others meant by klassic.

Yeah no you want a real hot take Stryker is a better character than Frost, mavado, dvorah, kronika, and kollector Stryker is actually a good character in my opinion while the rest are just rookies I honestly didn’t care about kollector Frost is wasted potential, Kronika was a terrible villain, Dvorah is just annoying, and kabal is way better than mavado now that’s a take

I think D'vorah is one of the best new villain's they've added. She's actually a threat & so gross but that's what makes her great
