Have the Australian release version of this (CZ515 with side release) and just put on a new scope, after zero in, the following groupings were achieved at 100m - Hornady Vmax 2200fps, 0.66 MOA and 0.7 MOA. CCI JHP 1875fps, 0.87 MOA and 1.3 MOA. CCI JSP 1875fps, 0.9 MOA (muzzle velocities are as claimed by manufacturer). These results were achieved with a bipod. Since owning, I have not had a fail to feed, fail to eject or fail to fire with the following brands of ammunition - CCI, Remington and Hornady. Also there is tighten down standard for the MLOK spec which is 35 lb in for metal accessories and 15 ft lb for polymer accessories.
50 grn federal and 30 grn max work real well in my 1515-1516 anschutz with the vmax better for bunnies but the 50 grn a great Fox stopper when I do my part of course many thanks Chris 👍

I have one of these thinking a threaded barrel so a suppressor should work on it. But it doesn't. Jams constantly and sometimes will not fire. Remove the suppressor and it again works. I emailed CZ USA twice now without any reply along with the store I purchased it from. Not a fan of CZ service.

@@chrisparkin431 Just bought the Australian version of this the CZ (512) 515 for pest eradication on a smaller property (lever release), and it comes with full MLOK, so great for a clip on thermal and or decent IR/white lighting options. I'm getting around 1 MOA with Remington magnum, CCI maxi mag JSP and JHP and a little better than 1 MOA with Hornady VMAX 30gr (2200fps). I paired it with a modestly priced scope , a Hawke Vantage 4-12x40 with 22WMR BDC reticle - great firearm for bunnies and foxes up to around 150 yds. beyond that you really need to step up to 223 (Humane eradication of foxes requires >.222 from 30m - DPAW guidelines). I don't use subs, but with the ammunition mentioned I haven't had a failure to feed, fire or eject in a little over 500 rounds. The only minor negative comment I have is the take down although simple is a little tedious (you have to undo various screws). The storage recommendation from CZ is to dry fire and put safety on. I do this with a snap cap in place.
Good video. I know not your go to rifle or calibre for rabbit. But with the possible lead ban. Excluding 17 hmr as insanely not available in semi. Would you think 22 wmr would get more popular, as if you are not shooting subsonic why not go for the wmr ?
Not lead free subsonic 22 lr. 17 hmr missing the lack of semi-automatic, although lead free is accurate. 22lr sub lead free ammo is useless so far I have found for accuracy. Yes the 17 hmr is far better calibre but thanks to crazy paws not legal in semi automatic. Hence I thought in for a penny in for a pound and considering 22 wmr once lead ban comes in. Although my marlin does group standard velocity 22 lr lead free in a inch and half at 75 yards or so. So maybe I should just stick with it. Was hoping for a little more accuracy from 22 wmr.

@@chrisparkin431 17 hmr shoot a little flatter but also lose energy more quickly. If you compare 17 hmr and 22 wmr at 100m (H Vmax 30 gr 22 wmr), the 22WMR and 17 hmr are about an inch apart and the WMR has about 20% more energy. Moreover, lots more ammunition choices with 22 WMR and its more readily available along with green tip. 😀 More choice with firearms too. From a straight ballistics POV the 17HMR is the better round but one has to look at it in the round, as it were.

Subsonic ammunition is not good for this weapon because it jams, it works better with supersonic ammunition, greetings from Peru.

suitable Ammo is available. The non toxic 17hmr is currently a far superior projectile to any 22wmr
