Great review, only gripe is that you should've shown more of you at the bench shooting, the little that you did show showed a Man who was really enjoying what he was doing which is cool to see.

That was by far the most impressive shooting I have ever seen with the 512! I'm not getting a great grouping with this rifle but I can definitely say it's me after watching this!

I have this gun in Australia - but we have a "dummy switch" added to stop it being a semi-auto (leaver release), because of our ridiculous firearm laws here. It's a fantastic gun.

The cz 512 I sight ed in for a relative was more accurate than many 22 bolt actions . Very usable hunting accuracy out to as far as you want to shoot . Most impressive rifle.
I got a old Marlin 782 that is a tack driver. It always liked the cheap Super X silver box 40grain HP the best. I bought it off a friend back n the 80’s for 60 bucks and it was worth every penny, it was rusted and most of the blue was gone so I had it parkerized and that made it a nice rifle.had about 120 bucks n it and I can’t tell u how many groundhogs it has to its credit.i hunted along a creek that runs for a hundred miles and it was a groundhog paradise.i sit on one side and hunt the other and most was about 50 to 75 yard shots all day long. The good ol’days. Now most of it is next to subdivisions that has built next to it.🤮
Thanks. They are CZ 10rd mags. They run 40$ a piece. As far as I know, there isn’t any aftermarket options. These mags are compatible with the 455 and 457 as well.
Partly as a result of several online dealers clearing out stock of the CZ 512 WMR (many were being sold on GunBroker, where I picked one up for just under 6 bills), 10 rd mags are hard to find right now (April 21). The only place I found with some in stock wanted $52 / ea shipped. I emailed CZ directly and asked if the 512 or the mags were discontinued (D/C'd) as mags were impossible to find and prices through the roof, and the response I received was no, that nothing had been D/C'd, they were just having supply issues. Same story as everywhere, I guess. Also can't seem to find ammo anywhere for less than .55 cents per round to start, and around .65 to .70 cents per rd for the CCI or Hornady 30 gr V-Max ammo. Nuts.
Took mine out for the first time, had the same issue with sight picture, difficult to get my face low enough. I think if I shim the butt plate around 3/4" it'll fit better. Managed to stack rounds on paper kneeling in snow at the 50 M factory sight in range. Likely add a scope eventually but I think I could do pretty good on a bench with the irons if I get a longer length of pull
Stepson bought a Ruger RPR .22 mag. Haven't shot it yet. Love .22 mag. Back in the 80's it was either .22 mag, .222 rem, or .22-250 for ground hogs after school. Momories.
This is a great gun, probably the best 22 Mag semi auto aside from the super high end Vorq stuff. My biggest gripe is the price of the mags, $30+ for a 10 round mag is just ridiculous and you just can't find them cheaper plus you have to pay shipping 99% of the time. I got mine for under $400 a couple years ago but have not done much shooting with it.
your group size is measured from center of shot to center. Not the outer edge of the hole which would give a larger caliber a false group size due to the hole size. Center to Center. Your groups where better then you thought.

Those are some really nice groups out of that CZ and I always wanted a good semi auto 22mag, but that’s crazy how much they want for an extra mag. I guess you buy once and cry once.
Price of 22 mag CZ mags is the biggest complaint, highway robbery. You can get CZ75 9mm mags for under $20. I was able to get metal Savage 17hmr mags for under $20 and they sent me a few free ones when I was having feeding issues. I hope the aftermarket offers something, can't believe I spent around $75 just to get 2 10 round 22 magnum magazines for this rifle.

CZ responded to an email and said simply they're having "supply issues". Got 1 love it, It seemed to only have issues with the CCI TNT due to the major size of the HP. Mine runs easily 1 inch or better. Let me tell you though these are amazingly hard to find. I work at a gun shop as a manager and I had to end up going to gunbroker to get mine. If people are looking at doing a auto loading 22 mag these are going to be the 1 to get. Don't get the Savage A22 mag due to most seem to have major reliability issues and the Kel Tec isnt near as accurate or reliable. These CZ 512s is where it is at.

The Savages ive had quite a few go back for warranty work and they also tend to be picky on ammo and love to have a lot of gun lube. The CMR-30 is cool but its in its own little segment, not comfortable at all and can be super picky.

I had one of these, it must of been an older model the trigger was terrible, the barrel rusted just looking at it, where the gun receiver comes together there was play (hold the stock and hold the forearm and move back and fourth) forearm stock was loose, BUT there wasnt anything it wouldnt feed, never ever jammed ever. Sold the gun, maybe i had a lemon, love your channel dude keep it up!

Those groups are certainly 'minute of chuck' , and I am somewhat surprised that a semi auto rimfire is that accurate. Just as a note, that model is over $700. here in Canada,.. then you have sales taxes too,..so talk about 'rip off' !
I have several 22mags. Dont shoot them much these days, ammo is way to expensive. I can buy almost two boxes of 9mm for price of one 22mag. Most of mine shoot good enougb for hunting but ard not tack drivers. I would rsally like to see more accuracy testing out at 100 yards. Thats tge range this round was made for.
My favorite cartridge. I've had 3 bolt-action .22 mag rifles. For some reason, the last round out of the magazine only goes half way into the chamber. I have to reach in and wiggle it to make it go all the way in.
It does kinda suck it has plastic clip. Mines several years old. It has a metal clip. I guess they went a little cheaper on us. But it looks like a very nice gun.

I put woodchucks down with 22 cal 20 grain pellets out of a $150 air rifle.(head shot) To me, .22magnum 30 grain hollow points, traveling at 2,200 fps/ 324ft lbs is a medium game hunting rifle. Hogs and coyotes and the occasional white tail are on the .22mag menu.
Had a savage A22M. put steel rings ,decent scope ,she was a dime @50. But not super reliable and (I'm a lefty)spit powder in my face, glasses a must. She had to go.
CZ used to be really cheap for the quality guns, but the prices have doubled. Still, they're great guns. I only have one 452 in 22lr, and it's a beautiful gun. You're shoots so well it's almost like cheating. 🙂 What sort of ranges you getting out of those?

Looks like a Worthy 22Mag, but a single mag of only 5 rounds is a deal breaker and especially when other companies have Two higher capacity mags and exteria mags are half the price!! Perhaps CZ is trying to get away with more of our hard earned money and it being over priced!! At present, we'll stick with our bolt action 22 mags, they too are tack drivers as well. Who knows, I could just have a really good one. Maybe try snugging up your fore-end and make sure your scope mounts are good

Great video, But, I think your groups are better than you think. Take the outside measurement like you do and subtract the bullet diameter.

Apparently, he had not been told that a 22wmr was an inaccurate round. On the other hand, using a CZ certainly helps.

I like the rifle, but I'm not big on the fact that the bolt doesn't lock open on the last round. Rimfire rifles should not be dry fired
