The A 340-600 is still the most beautiful looking airplane ever built (except Concorde and Tu 144).
I'm hoping that one day I have the opportunity to fly on a Lufthansa 747 or any 747 passenger aircraft before I miss my opportunity to do so because this is a big dream and goal for me to do, because I am a massive 747 fan/enthusiast and something I want to be able to do considering how iconic the Boeing 747 is, also this is a first for me being the first like and comment, lets go 747
You are not alone
Lufthansa will probably have its 747-8i until the mid 2030s, you‘ll have time. I live in Germany and fly them quite often, it‘s great

Personally I live in Germany and so many lang haul flights are with the 747. Alongside the A350 it‘s the best experience for long haul I‘ve ever had!

2:10 Slight correction: LH doesn't operate the A330-200 variant (only it's subsidiary Discover which is not subject of the video). Also, the A321ceo's include the older -100 variants, actively flying around Europe.
I've flown with Lufthansa on their B747-8i between Chicago and Frankfurt (my first and only time on a 747), and on their A340-600 between Frankfurt and Dubai, all back in 2014. The A340s were already showing their age even back then, but as an aviation enthusiast, still very fun to fly on.
The Queen of the skies, B 747 is quite nice, even though the cabin is quite noisy (even in business) - but for me the best is A 380, the King of the skies. Pretty quiet cabin and lots of space for the passengers in all classes. The crews I asked are also happy with the A 380. I am happy Lufthansa is bringing back the A 380!

My favorite, and I believe most people do, is the 747-8, followed by the 777-9X that comes around.
Considering my last B-747 flight was in 1992, I need to make an effort to board one of those again. If they fly them out of Chicago, there is a possibility in the next 2-3 years.
I think they fly the -8 out of Chicago to Frankfurt actually. And considering that Chicago is quite a huge airport, I guess they will do so for some more years😊😉

I recently flew on the Lufthansa A321neo from Frankfurt to Cairo. It was pretty bare bones with no entertainment system, only USB charging ports, and the WiFi was either unavailable, or wasn't turned on.
That’s European continental flights to you… Frankfurt - Cairo is one of the longest legs.

The 747-400 is easily my favorite aircraft they operate, with the -8 and the A340(either variant) coming 2nd and 3rd. As for what I'd like to see them with, I'd like to see them replace their A319s with A220s.
I like their A350-900 and 787-9, I hope they would fly 777-8X and A330neo

My favorite is the Boeing 747-400, Airbus A380, and even A340. If you are a big fan of the 747-400, Lufthansa will retired all 8 remainning classic Jumbo Jets by the end of 2025.

I’ve only been on one Lufthansa 747 but it was a real treat- far superior to any US based wide body. Hoping for another opportunity before the are gone 😀

Hi Dan, yes, definitely would love to see more fleet analyses as well as future plans for those airlines and what they're ordering.
The A380 is the favourite with everyone that loves to fly, so why are we not giving the people what they love to fly in.? Please don’t let this beautiful plane die off.
A350 is the top for me, its also my dream to fly this flagships carrier a350. I wish they would have flown the b777
They will fly the 777x in the future. The delay is one of the reasons, the old aircrafts are still around
@@pflaumenhaggis exactly. Lufthansa also needs first class capacity, which the 787 doesn't have and the a350-900 can't fully fullfill. Therefore they need the old planes. But sadly they announced, that they will retire their a340s and the 747-400s :(

I think it is possible that Lufthansa would order the Airbus A330-900s to replace its aging A330-300s and Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners to expand its long-haul fleet and to replace its aging A380s and 747s, in which the former can be allocated to Lufthansa Group subsidiaries.
A330-900 is already dead on arrival. No reason to order them...
They long ago passed up on the 330-900s. The 10's we shall see. Plenty of range for most of their long haul routes.

What's amazing is that Lufthansa didn't put any 747-8 in storage during the global pandemic.
Lufthansa needs to replace it's aging fleet of A320-200, A321-100 & A321-200 asap . . . recommend brand new A321-200 Neo & A321-200 Neo LR as replacement, instead of the A320-200 Neo . . . existing & pending orders of additional brand new A350-900, A350-900 ULR & A350-1000 HGW plus brand new B787-9 & B787-10 will eventually replace the aging fleet of A330-200, A330-300 & A340-300 . . . Lufthansa needs to refurbish it's A380-800 fleet (including A380-800s in storage) inside & out thoroughly, meaning heavy MRO . . . and reinstate the airframes back into active revenue service . . . all refurbished A380-800 cabin will feature 453 seats in a typical 3-class configuration . . . full service flag carriers like Lufthansa needs to restructure it's existing routes & consider operating flights from a second base of operations in a foreign country with relaxed laws . . . for e.g. Dubai, UAE . . . Frankfurt & Munich will continue providing connections to the U.S. mainland & within EU as it has been doing, since the full service flag carrier very inception back in the 1920s . . . to start with Lufthansa can delegate a fleet of 62 - 69 wide body & narrow body jets that will operate flights to & from Dubai, UAE only . . . thus providing maximum connectivity to destinations worldwide that wouldn't be possible from Frankfurt or Munich or Stuttgart . . .
Lufthansa has started replacing A340-300 and A340-600 with A350-900 and A350-1000. As for A330, Lufthansa has started replacing them with 787-9 as soon as each 787-9 is delivered and put into service. So far, Lufthansa has received 5 787-9 early that were built for now-defunct Hainan Airlines.
