Living well is indeed the best revenge. Two years ago my then gf dumped me and less than a month later I got the job that I still have which allowes me to live in comfort and much more. I stayed in touch a few months after we broke up and I could tell she was salty about it. So much that she specifically made sure that I knew she had a new boyfriend. That fkd me up for a few weeks but everything else in my life was perfect, so I hanged on to that and I got over it preety quickly.I havenpt heard of her since then but I´m just too busy living the life I could never have with her.

The worst part about that... is that is absolutely the weird kinda stuff that me and my poly partners do when our insomnia hits. We have seven adults and our adopted daughter living in our house, so if our insomnia hits we just leave to avoid waking up the whole house and just stop by anywhere that's open at that hour.

I always thought of a married couple who had trouble connecting as they got older or maybe made assumptions about each other. So I see it as them learning about each other once more and truly connecting after all those years of distance. Being in a loveless marriage is tough, and while cheating isn’t the best way to go about it, the fact they found each other again meant that they were really perfect for each other, they just didn’t know how to communicate. That marriage probably grew stronger as a result of that.

Great comment about not fighting for assets. My ex-wife fought over my participation in a sub s corporation retail store where I only had 1/3 of the stock. It had a $17,500 loan on it so really not much value at all. Note: 1\3 interest in a sub s corporation has no market value to an outside buyer. I finally offered her the stock which she did not want. She dragged out the divorce 18 months. No telling what percent of my lawyer fees could have been avoided if she had enough business sense to understand business valuations. Well, the time came for me to renew the plates on my car titled in my name that she was driving. I basically told her that once she signs the divorce papers through my lawyer that I will renew the plates and sign the car over to her. She did and got some money and I got the junk house that took 6 months to sell. She took my prize microwave. (top of the line) Never fight over assets.
Yeah to heck with “the high road”, I’m petty AF. When my best friend started dating the guy that I was in love with and she knew it-and he was doing it to get back at me for the breakup (he was the cheating kind and I noped out), I went and found the guy that I knew she was nuts over. Hot, degenerate, playboy, fuq boy-he was all that. She had slept with him for months as a friends with benefits because he wouldn’t commit, and finally gave up on him but she was nursing a broken heart over him and that fire for him was still lit inside of her. My ex who was with her was literally giving people letters trying to get me back right in front of her and she would fly off the handle and tear them up. He took her to my MOMS to talk about getting me back and she lost it on him. He had no real interest in her. Anyway I was like “two can play this game, b-tch.” I went to see her ex sex partner guy, and told him the story. He had zero feelings for her so it didn’t matter to him. He was, however, a little interested in seeing if he could do the same thing to me (yeah, no. Hard pass, pun intended). But he went along with my plan anyway just “in case” it got him somewhere I suppose. He took me out in his boat, her parents had a boat too and everyone usually congregated on a particular island to party on the weekends. I knew she would be there. I was looking HOT in a bikini, makeup, hair cute etc. He was trying to get all over me but I was keeping him off me as best as I could. We pulled up to the island and he helped me out of the boat. Everyone was there, bonfires going, drinks all around etc. Eventually she caught sight of us. He was sitting on a cooler top and he was pulling me closer hands/arms going around my waist. She was stomping over to us angrily so I pulled his head into my stomach (barely above my bikini bottom top 👀) and was running my fingers through his hair. She stopped and just stared at us, and I could see the rage and tears welling. She spun around on her heel and stormed off. None of us said a word. It was all self explanatory. He and I high fived laughing and got back in the boat. I said I would see him around. Because I didn’t want to be a complete b-tch to him or make him feel used after helping me, I had a friend pick him up some good bottles of booze as a thank you for his time. I paid for it. And yeah that totally ruined her weekend I heard. And not long after she walked in on my ex screwing another girl in his bed and it was one of her other friends 😂. So there went that. She lost the guy and she lost her friend. And I was hella loyal to her and good to her prior to this, but the gloves came off when she immediately started dating my ex knowing full well that I was hurting over him and why. I guess she thought that he wouldn’t do the same thing to her? 😂. I’m sorry, but when a cheater takes a new partner a spot opens up for his new side chick, literally every time people. A tiger doesn’t change his stripes, he just gets better at camouflaging his misdeeds.

I think a lot of us make excuses for the person we are dating early on. If we see some bad behavior, we tell ourselves they are having a bad day or even worse, they have some past issues that they still need to work through but with you they will get better.
No, they won’t get better. No, it’s not because they had a bad day. You just saw their true selves - warts and all. Those bad days will just grow and grow and become more frequent because they know you’ll put up with it.
Or, they will keep lying and lying to you to keep you around until one day you are ‘shocked’ that they cheated on you.
You can be attracted to lots of people - good and bad. But choose to fall in love with the good ones. It takes time and being very aware of how they treat you and others, but it’s worth it in the long run.
I know, because I was the queen of making excuses for bad behavior from guys I dated. Don’t be like me. Choose to fall in love with the good ones.

I honestly believe people like a little abuse in their life. Every single one of us has heard cheating stories and probably have seen it or been through it. We all know the signs of cheating so why make excuses for a cheater? It’s not cheating if you allow it btw. After you catch someone cheating and forgive it/ make excuses, it’s not considered cheating.

Worked as a mechanic at a place that put those magnetic numbers on the roof to identify the cars for service. My wife of two years and I became good friends with a fellow mechanic and his wife. We went out on double date nights, went to the races together, movies, local amusement park, etc., good friends, or so I thought.
One day I went home for lunch and spotted a car with a magnetic number on its roof and decided to wait down the street a bit to see who came out of my house - it was my (so called) friend the mechanic. Long story short, over the next few weeks, he went to my house more than once during lunch breaks. This was all before cell phones and micro cameras, I borrowed a camera from another friend, with a great telephoto lens, I used it to get pictures as proof.
Confronted my wife with "What did you do all day, Dear?" Answered with "Nothing" "Did you have any friends over or go anywhere?" "Nope".
Asked about the mechanic coming over and she started with the usual "What are you talking about?". Showed her the pictures and all Hell broke loose. Confessed everything in an ocean of tears.
Up side of this story is we are still together . . . but not until after months of therapy and years of mistrust.

so me and my bf were kinda on and off bc id have bad panic attacks and turn against myself and he'd basically go with the self-hatred/sabotaging thoughts i had, but ive got rly bad attachment issues and needed someone to cling to so i'd always wait for him to let me back in (the whole time thinking it was my fault). during one of the times we were rly close he started responding to my texts less and less, being less clingy when i saw him, and started talking to a girl in our friendgroup a lot more. i was apparently colorblind, so i didnt see the massive red flags, but i still knew something was off. one day when he wasnt there, i was casually talking to the girl and said something about how our 1yr was close and she turned sheet white and said "omg ur dating ~insert name here~?!" and i jus said yea and continued talking to my other friends there while she frantically texted someone (found out later it was him). i wish i could say this is where i figured it out, but it wasn't. later the same day, i got a text from my best friend saying that a bunch of the juniors were talking about my bf dating a completely different girl, and that she had suspected it for a while bc she had seen them together when i wasn't there, but didnt want to say anything just in case. thats when it set in, but i played it off and jus said sum like "well, as long as hes happy and tells me eventually im happy" (for background- i had cheated on a past relationship and went into this one saying idc if he cheats on me as long as he's open about it). then near the end of the day he texted me asking "youd be alright if i liked someone else, right?" and i responded with "so, are u talking about (1st girl) or (2nd girl)?" didnt hear anything back. we didnt talk for a bit, and i even left my friendgroup so he could stay in it without the awkwardness of me being there, but he eventually started begging for me to start clinging to him again. and my dumb arse did. we're still dating, and recently i found out about a 3rd girl who he tried it with and she rejected him. the cherry on top? he's starting to get really distant again but still expects me to cling to him and go to his house for ~things~
