This feels like Irish, North English, or (even more so) like Newfoundland or Nova Scotia music. Which is appropriate as many people who know those places call them "Shire". This song is just beautiful, as is the whole musical. Was it killed by trademark police? When was it staged?
No, it was supported heavily by the Tolkien estate when it came out, but there were technical and stunt difficulties that caused major injuries, and the critics hated it, it couldnt withstand all the heat at the time, especially with the budget it had.
WHY ISN'T THIS POPULAR DARNNIT!!!
Cant beliave that i missed this show, DAMN YOU AGE!!!! just needed to be a few years older and i could of seen this >:(
Oh my god, I love this song so much. Author intent be damned, I want to believe they're in love, because that's what feels right
"Sit by the fire lights glow,
Tell us an old tale we know,
Tell of adventure strange & rare,
Never to change, always to share."
At least I'm not alone.
Hi love xxxx
