Love the horse been a while since I have rode a horse and I really miss it
I usually pick out the horses feet first so that if they do have a stone in there hood them they are not standing on it as long. Great vid though!❤️
I always do my bell boots the other way ever since I got my new horse who can literally undo them when she walks lol also max is so adorable ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I usually do it a different way when putting on a rope halter but the way you did it makes sense lol. I put on my bell boots the opposite way (idk I've always done it that way for some reason) & you didn't put the black reins on at the end of your video lol. But all fun, love the vlogs! 😊

Do you have to put the boots on the horse if you are just riding in a field and not barrel racing?
when you race do you regular use back leg gear? i hear its really popular in reining and cutting and stuff but was wondering for barrel racing?
A lot of times I will just for extra protection, taking all the precautions I can to keep the horses legs good but some days I won't use it, it is a personal preference :)

Just an opinion but I wouldn’t wrap the halter around their neck because if they try to run away then it could strangle them or possibly break their neck

Hi I’m makayla I’m 12 almost 13 I live in the country on about 1 and a 1/2 acres. I was wondering how to get into barrel racing I have fallen in love with the sport and horses (I’ve always loved horses and really wish I could have one we just can’t afford it). I don’t have a horse and I only get to ride during the summer. I really want to learn how to learn and be around horses more. So if you have any suggestions please. During the summer I ride at a relatives house and in a few weeks I’m going to my aunts house she used to barrel race and said she might be able to teach me.

It sure seems like you're annoying your horse by pushing him back and forth in that crazy tight space. He's obviously a patient, tolerant horse that you have a great relationship with, but I'm sure he'd appreciate a little more room to operate. Maybe tie him to the far bar? Good video regardless.
How tall are you and max?
I am around 5 foot 3 inches and Max is 14.3 hands :)
