The familiar vibe is back! It just so happened that I lived in Xiangyang Rd in 2005. Back then this narrow road was best known for its fake market, called Xiangyang Rd Market, that opened till pretty late. I was more interested in its food stalls offering a variety of local snacks and drinks. Later this little market was torn down to give way to new developments, but all the fond memories stay forever.
I just come back from Shanghai. You made me miss Shanghai 😢. I am a Shanghainess who lived in nyc for 20+ years. I didn’t have enough time to explore the city and surrounding. A lot places u went is quite interesting.
We love your content, coffee, snacks, shops, if you go back to Huangpu, Nanjing Road (E), maybe you can show the foody places on the side streets like Shanxi Road S near the Metropolo Hotel Classic, Nanjing Road (E) to give your opinions? Are they authentic or touristy good or bad , value for money etc, thanks, keep up the GREAT EPISODES.

I heard that many fake luxury goods come from the same assembly line as the official goods - just lacking proper labelling and certification, which is why luxury goods brands are so interested in block chain certification now as another level of showing off that you bought the genuine article
Wow that’s so interesting, I didn’t know that. Many of these items are really bad knock offs at this market, think Colven Klean instead of Calvin Klein 😅😅

Yes, that’s the concept! Many cities have a “The New Yorker” style publication, although I’m not sure Shanghai ever had the actual magazine.
