Thanks! I picked up the battery on Amazon.
Thank you!! I couldn't figure out how to open the inner part to get to the battery. Great video! Saved me $$ and time from taking this to the dealership!! :)
Glad the video was helpful 😁
Opened up the key fob as per your instructions. Thank you for that. Tested the battery and it is OK. Put it back together and it seems ok . Probably just operator error.
Usually means the existing battery in on the way out but not quite there
Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
Glad I could help!
Thanks, Key Fob Rob! This was perfect!
Glad I could help!
Thank you!! This was easy and quick!!
You're welcome!!
Excellent video and easy to follow. Thank you. Would happen to know what I should do in case the key is loose in the shell? Without the key, all remote control buttons work just fine. My sense tell me just to find a shell online and swap out the key? Or is their legit way to do without paying hundreds of dollars?
eBay is definitely your best bet. SUPER cheap shell replacements - ebay.to/2AvKisi
@@KeyFobRob thank you!!! I will look into these. Super cheap! Is it as simple as just removing the screw and taking out the key and then doing the reverse for the new shell? I ask cause my screw is a bit stripped and not sure how to replace that screw or remove it safely without messing up the key
@@GR8GUY54 Yup. Nothing fancy about it. Just switch out the guts and your cut key! Save yourself a boatload of cash
@@KeyFobRob thank you once again.
@@KeyFobRob Okay...so I got the shell and although it's an excellent fit, am I supposed to get the key cut by a locksmiths? Or somehow try to remove the default key that comes with the shell? If a locksmith is required, what's a legit price range for something like this? Sorry, never done this before but learning from you and appreciate your support and responses.
Thank you 😊
You're welcome!
Thanks -- I don't know why Honda didn't include this procedure in the owner's manual.
Glad it helped
Thank you ... but I can't seem to find a phillips bit that can fit into screwdriver so as to have some torque that I could use get the screw off. Any suggestons?
I have tried using jewlers' screw drivers but they are too small to be able to loosen the screw.
Something like this would have what you needed - amzn.to/3bd8VXL
This remote does not fit Odyssey EXL; it's missing the rear hatch button.
True but the process is the same
Very nice.
Thank you! Take care
screw is rusty / stripped. Advice?
Still need an answer? This just happened to me...and I figured it out. Screw has loctite on it... from the manufacturer .. jewler's screw driver will not work... not enough torque... that's why it's stripped.
Thank you!
