  • The Hunter Valley Steamfest is one of NSW's most popular annual rail heritage events. This film documents the day before the event, with a few heritage trains passing through Sydney en route to Maitland, as well as a few other trains running by. Day 2 sees us head to Muswellbrook in the Hunter Valley - the long way around, via the Blue Mountains and Mudgee. Day 3 finds in Maitland for the all action, including a race between steam locomotives 3526 and 6029 and a ride on 1938-built railmotor 402 from Maitland to Kooragang Island and back.
