I love how an introvert, woman that is a very good teacher, found a way to teach and share her skills, without having to bump into the part of getting confronted with people every day. I find it very inspiring as an introvert myself❤ thank you❤
Another great video Courtney. I enjoy that I feel like I am on a one-on-one photo walk with you, both learning and having fun. I really liked the tree where you cloned out the branch. I have to admit that I am a bit jealous of your winter conditions. Currently in Edmonton, Alberta we are -28C and -38C with the wind chill. Makes the photography very uncomfortable. Cheers.
Hi, 👋 love your video today, and those trees are incredible. I love how you have interpreted them as villains!! So cool. I think the very last tree is my absolute favorite. I think I have an idea for a name, because I see it grasping for its life before it falls to its death- finally being defeated by a great wise tree wizard.. “Grasping” sounds ok, or, “final attempt”..
been falling in love with wildlife photography but it's so cool to see this whole other side of nature that i would otherwise be looking past on a shoot. your channel has such a soft calming vibe i love it
New to your channel. Watching your style gives me ideas what to look for. My next purchase is the lens magnifier. Thank you for taking the time to produce and post your videos. Thank you from Montana, USA.
Courtney never change. Introvert/anti-social? All of us enjoy the person you are. As for the unnamed tree, to me it appears to be yelling: Get back here! Till next time Courtney, we'll continue watching over your shoulder, from the 8* weather, here in the Rocky Mountains of Montana, USA!
@@michele.m.miller Good morning Montana! I live in the outdoors, hiking every other day. Thus I need to learn as much as I can from Courtney! Rick in Philipsburg.
"Winter reveals what Summer hides", so true. Do you ever notice the bird nests that Winter reveals? Then try and find these same birds nest in the Summer? Just say'n lol, great video as always!
I like your video format a lot, informative and not overly edited with stuff flying all over the screen. Even though I am 25, I like simple and engaging content. It flows extremely well. Thank you
That was an amazing edit removing that branch. I cant tell at all that it was there which is amazing considering all the little branches around and behind where it was. Such a great picture.
It’s funny that you’re saying goodbye to your D750 while I just welcomed the D750 to my camera bag not too long ago. I bought it to replace the D610 I have been using the past couple of years both of which that I purchased from MPB. I been using them before I stumbled onto your channel a couple of years back, matter of fact, you’re the reason why I got the D750 in the first place. Keep up the great work that you do both with your videos and photography.
In the Forest of Dean, with its leafless attire, a stark, quiet beauty that will surely inspire. You frame the emptiness, the quiet, the space, finding endless poetry in a bleak desolate place. Though twisted and gnarly, your lens takes its stand, turning those barren branches into an art so grand. Uplifted and impassioned, through your beautiful eyes, of a bare forest stretching, beneath the grey winter skies. Time to say goodbye, to an old trusty friend, your Nikon D750, with its journey at an end. Embracing the future, where new stories begin, now a "Micro Four Nerd", Emily says with a grin. Thank You for your words during my time of grief, just knowing I was in your thoughts, was a loving relief. So in this world of stillness, your message surely extends, To lift up and inspire, your kindly poetic friend.
I came across, and subscribed, to your channel when I was researching the purchase of my D750. I'm disappointed to see yours go but I'm sure I'll continue to enjoy your videos.
Ooooh, you're back! Huzzah! I noticed your mittens at the 1:08 mark, the ones that are the hybrid mitten-fingerless glove thing. I have a pair like that I love them for photography! I love being able to keep my fingers warm when I'm walking about but also being able to quickly have a finger ready for tapping my camera's touchscreen or feeling the buttons. I have gloves with touchscreen-capable material on the fingertips but those aren't the same.
Courtney, your imagination and eye for detail are amazing! During a walk in the woods today I tried to channel my inner Courtney and failed. Oh well next time. Thanks for the dance lesson bonus!
Your videos always bring a much needed calm! I bought the D750 almost 2 years ago because of your videos and have been so thankful I stumbled across them. ❤
See when you saw the tree you thought "villain" and I thought "fallen hero" and by combining what you saw with what I saw it turned it into the dichotomy of when a hero becomes the villain. Or even more the old saying "you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain". A lot of thought for a single fallen tree. That's why art is so beautiful and why we need everyone's input to help build on what we can see and take from it.
Hey Courtney. Thanks for (finishing) the video, and glad you are safe. I like to visit and photograph rocky outcrops in the wintertime - the contrast in warm/cold tones with wet/dry rock and then green/grey mosses and moulds is really nice. Sometimes there is an extra splash of colour eg winter berries that is abnormal.
I find your enthusiasm and creativity and skill so inspirational! I despise winter where I live, but I'm heading out to see what I can do. Keep up the great work!
The forest in winter reminds me of old fairy tale books I had as a child, beautiful and mysterious.Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺 where forests are full of snakes and deadly spiders.
I would name it 'cast off'. I can see by the images the winter woodland has a different feel, its sleeping. although life is still going on around, the trees are at rest. what I like most is when most are looking out of the window thinking not today, your out seeing the landscape in a different light (or rain). thanks for the vid.
Good morning! I just came across your channel. I have to say, I am incredibly impressed. The amount of work you've put in here is enormous. I myself walk through the forest looking for interesting shots, and what I saw in your video reminds me a lot of my own hikes. I wish you good health and perseverance. 🙌🏻🐗
I liked the part taking the images of the tree with the tele-zoom lens and the photo at (11:21), since I am not much into macro photography, I've been missing the landscape stuff 🙂📷
Hi! My favorite shot is in the background of your video at 10:18. A vertical shot; the vine covered tree trunk makes a left frame with twisted branches all along it reaching out to the right, backed by that ghostly white grass.
Another great video and good to see you make sense of the chaos that is a forest in winter. It’s all your fault that I’m now getting into woodland photography myself. 😊
Hey Courtney, long live us anti-social bods is what I say. Don't get me wrong I am happy to tap away here but meeting people does cause huge anxiety levels, hence my need to get up in the very early hours to work on my allotments or like you finding a very large space/woodland to just enjoy the place to yourself and nature. Sadly though I don't do the little dance in real life, more often am falling over and swearing to myself. But your dance made me smile immediately, so thank you. I do love the backlit mushroom shot and "Reign". I didn't mind the large branch you cloned out but I agree it helps with the balance. The wonders of software and a user that is accomplished in how you use it. Have to say my head has been all over the place this weekend, but having just watched your video it has calmed down a tad, so thank you.
Missed not seeing you and the little happy dances for awhile. Love your videos always so happy and informative . Keep up the great work and never give up playing.
lovely video once again I like the way you explain your technical use of the camera.and the way you explain fame your photography i looking to shoot some trees in the New forest soon thanks for the tips many thanks
It's great seeing Courtney dancing again! I'm surprised to see the D750 in the title. Looks like a D850. I just wish my D750 did in camera focus stacking! I see where "aweek earlier" that the camera is indeed the D750!
Fantastic work! You are quite gifted as a photographer and your images back that up! Just started watching your content a month or so ago and have enjoyed watching. Keep up the good content and enjoy the journey! Thanks for sharing.
Love the trees. Where I live, it is mostly Sitka Spruce and Western Hemlock (Southwest Alaska). Not a photo, but I love "Hair Ice". I missed getting out to find it this winter, here. But, winter has been a weird. Lots of rain. But, freezing weather coming, so maybe this weekend.
15:37 in: “Payment within a couple of days.” I wish! I’ve been a bit disappointed with MPB lately and I’m considering other options. Regardless, another enjoyable watch Ms. Courtney. 💜💜
I still have my D750, but its resale value was too low for me to give it away. It’s an excellent camera, and every time I pick it up, I’m amazed by how well it still performs. Currently, I use the Z8, which offers pixel shift shooting that can create 180MP files, which is incredibly useful for capturing detailed macro subjects. Pixel shift isn’t just for more megapixels, it also makes for lower noise and better color, it’s amazing.
I did a lot of medium-format film photography back in the day. Loved the dark room. When digital hit the scene I lost interest. Now, I would like to get into digital, but it just seems so much involved. Love your work.
For the Unnamed image, I think “The Claw”. I have had nothing but great results using MPB. in my last dealing I rated the gear “good”, they said “excellent” and gave me more money.
If you are going to shoot macro, you should use the OM system. it has focus stacking and focus bracketing. Which means you can combine multiple focus stacked images in camera or in computer. You can even use flash. The m43 camera have a wider depth of field. You can find used Olympus cameras for inexpensive, the 60mm macro is also inexpensive and you can even hand hold the image and do focus stacking in camera or on computer and get good results.

Your videos are so peacefully watchable. Really enjoyed this one! Goodbye to your D750 and I´m already curious for what's next :)

So much to enjoy in this video. I think the cloned-out branch really helped that excellent photo. Leading the eye.
I went from a D750 to a D780 and found it a worthwhile upgrade. The live view and video are the best of any F mount cameras.
That was an amazing edit removing that branch. I cant tell at all that it was there which is amazing considering all the little branches around and behind where it was. Such a great picture.

...and people still seeking D610 as affordable fullframe alternative. From hand to hand, it still pack a puch 😄
You disappeared from my feed for quite some time! I'm glad you're back. I always look forward to your videos.
Girl! I love your level of enthusiasm and motivation for your photography. I find myself smiling the whole time am watching your videos. ❤
Split personality, photo thats unnamed, thanks for your videos.

Lovely work Courtney amd a big thank you to the D750. I hope it's new owner appreciates it.
Nice Forest work out 👍
Such beautiful trees. I adore what you have shared with us all. From one introvert and antisocial to another, thank you.

Great how you can get good shots of what looks like chaos to me! Thanks for sharing!
The D750 has served you well. Great video, as always.

I really like that description. I feel like it captures the emotions it has in it.

"I am powerful!" What a great description.
I find your enthusiasm and creativity and skill so inspirational! I despise winter where I live, but I'm heading out to see what I can do. Keep up the great work!
I'd love the music and rain sounds at 11:28 as an ambient sound track lol it's so lovely

So quiet and so nice around the forest. I am learning some led light technics. Thanks Victoria.

Finally, you posted a new video, I've waited for a month or so, from your last video, right? Keep making these videos, we really them!
Wonderful trails amazing old trees. i would name the last tree "The Hag". love your stories .
Yet another fabulous video, I would name your image " reaching out ! "
Hi! My favorite shot is in the background of your video at 10:18. A vertical shot; the vine covered tree trunk makes a left frame with twisted branches all along it reaching out to the right, backed by that ghostly white grass.
Great video. Thanks.
Hi Courtney, I admire your ability to find composition in the forest. Thank you for your dedication to woodland photography.
I so love and appreciate ALL of your videos!! I think that ice hair is "frost flowers" and called "ice ribbons" as well.
You have a great way with words with poetic descriptions of the photos.
Throwing some shapes there 😂
👍🏻⋯⋯Nice composition 🥰
La foto del arbol impresionante!
Beautiful work from beautiful people. ngl. Love your work from very first video i watch. ❤.
Mushrooms with panel light. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for a great video, Courtney. The fungi backlit really resonated with me. I love the texture and the simple colour palette of blue and orange.
Excellent video, I’m a big fan of your approach to finding and capturing interesting subjects.
Call that tree Asunder.
Love the videos and your work.
My goodness this is wonderful ~ learned a lot 🇬🇧
I love the tree shots before 8 minutes. Great work. On the fungi photos I found the bark in the lower right distracting.
I still have my D750, great camera. I've moved on to mirrorless now, but can't quite bear the thought of selling yet!
Another great video and good to see you make sense of the chaos that is a forest in winter.

Love the video! The unamed picture reminds me of Groot from "Guardians of the Galaxy" reaching out for something or someone.
There is an old German idiom "Danke, dass es dich gibt"
Courtney - THANK YOU!!!!
Amazing video. Really joy to watch and get inspired as always. Just wish they are more often 😊🔥📸📸📸
I have never seen trees like that before!

Again .... great video. Well done
I truly cannot get enough of your content. I need to up my skill for sure but would love a collab, id be starstruck hahahha

You produce odd videos…. 🤔 I Love it!!! Thank you.
13:19 to me, i see the tree reaching out with its hand for help, about to fall of a ledge, like it's really trying to grab a hold of the camera
That last tree shot with the D750 could be appropriately named “Down But Not Out” it describes the tree, also the D750.
Great video as always. My thoughts for the image......Torment
also the unnamed tree is Terence and the back lit mushrooms are great
Nice dance between the photo Session.😂
Best regards from Germany
Great images! I'd name the last image.. Split Personslity
Thanks for sharing.
🥳 Love your videos
I miss the happy dance😅
Mike my way daah lmao
Muito bom ! 📷👍
Scar. Name the tree, Scar.
hi! cette vidéo me donne envie de retourner en forêt pour prendre des photos!! merci
The hand of "He who must not be named!" The second shot... no ideas.
Sweet ....
Go with Treebeard ❤
WoW😍😍😍
