Its not that striving and wanting more in life is a bad thing, but its important to understand that regardless of if it works out or not, you need to love the moment. Love the mundane parts of life and the exciting parts will he better
Thank you for one of the most personally relevant pieces I’ve ever seen. Along with my family we live on a 26 acre forested property. I chop lots of wood. It provides comfort and warmth for family and friends. It’s not a mundane or simple task. It takes mindfulness and hard work. A little cannabis is always nice. 🇨🇦💪🏼
Great job. I'll start following your content closer. It's so ironic that it's refreshing to see amazing content along with good narration that it's not AI.
I like how your channel derails (in a positive way) from the traditional view of self improvement channels that purposefully make you dissatisfied in yourself so you can "improve" (in reality you are not) by consuming more self improvement videos giving a false sense of progress all in turn a disguise to rob many for their money (and time through view counts/subsriptions). I subscribed.
When I first read the title I thought it was Chopped wood carry water .What the hell that such a profound thought I thought. Hard to explain hope you kind of get me 😅
Buddhist teachings on surface look simple and reasonable way to deal with life . Buddhist believe in enlightenment and simple life is rejection of life itself and nowadays you just can live a simple life even if you want it will come so late in life . Think about the the cost to buy just something, water , food, shelter and if you unlucky born into a poor family there is nothing you can't do most of the time family responsibilities, society and if you choose to leave them they will suffer, you will feel guilty and you have no one to to feed you ,you are incompetent.2:11 i think we should keep seeking. higher mountain we should. want more be greedy keep wanting more but in the sense of material but personal achievement like Nietzsche said in one of his books.i don't think wanting to have material possessions is inherently a wrong things after all us normal people and the Buddha and zen monk are different. They don't have to worry about what to eat or water for tommorow. Valuable lesson although not practical in this world we are living One last thing although it is important to be in the present moment. You really need to think about your future also . When I was very young I used to be present in the moment only by the time things started to fall apart I realised how stupid and wrong I was to live only in the present moment.

I like how you connected the teaching of Nietzsche into your overall idea, love the interaction this is active learning which I am trying to do more.
