The only thing the Bangladeshi government can do is to issue diplomatic protests and temporarily evacuate Bangladeshi citizens living near the border with Myanmar.
The Bangladeshi government is doing the right thing by deporting Myanmar citizens, including Myanmar soldiers who retreat towards Bangladeshi land.

They cant really do anything, Myanmar is fighting a civil war right now. Against like 3 different resistant groups and its quite huge because the Myanmar Government lost many regions. And had many soldiers defect to the resistance.

@@user-ol8ri4lb7d They really can't, What they going to do mess with Myanmar's internal affairs? If Bangladesh attacked Myanmar, one of the sides is going to take advantage and then you have war from 2 different opponents. And then you will have a war spilled into Bangladesh and then when the people try to flee it will repeat again in India.

Myanmar is a very complex ethnic/ tribal problem.
January 4, 1948: Burma broke away from more than 60 years of British colonial rule and formally declared the Republic of the Union of Burma, with Shwe Taik as the first President of Burma.
1974-1988: Ne Win promulgates a new constitution, recognizing Rakhine, Chin, Kachin, Karen, Kayah/Karenni, Mon and Shan states as administrative units.
Myanmar is a very diverse country with many ethnic groups, each with their own history, culture, and identity. However, the state has failed to recognize and respect this diversity, and has often tried to impose a dominant ethnic identity on the rest of the population. This has led to resentment, discrimination, and marginalization of ethnic minorities, who have taken up arms to defend their rights and autonomy. The military, which has ruled the country for most of its history, has also exploited ethnic divisions to maintain its power and control over natural resources.

Rich countries pay for UN operations. UN pays poor countries per soldier, around 1000-1500 USD per month, for participation in UN peacekeeping operations. Bangladesh pockets the salary difference and uses the UN money to run their country. That's why most UN peacekeepers are soldiers and police officers are deployed from poor countries in South Asia and Africa.

As a progressive Hindu from India, I am open to suggestion but I respectfully disagree when people believe that democracy will return in that country without the military regime. Whether we like it or not, the Junta regime is the only thing that is uniting the ethnic rebels. Without it, they will clash among themselves. This is our human nature and I have seen this play throughout our human history and in the continent of Africa. I believe that it is crucial to be realistic and not believe in emotions.
Myanmar is currently the largest producer of opium in the world and most of it is grown in areas inhabited by the PRO-DEMOCRACY REBELS. And every WEEK, our Indian Agencies arrest drug smugglers from Myanmar. A part of their pro-democracy revolution is funded through drug trafficking across the border. Thank God that our New Delhi have ended the FMR( FREE MOVEMENT REGIME) between our two nations. Arms and drug trafficking networks were exploiting the border for decades.
I understand that life is tough in Myanmar but as someone who understands the complexity of the various ethnicities living in the Indo-Myanmar region, I assure you that the civil war in Myanmar will be more complicated without the Junta and any group with more resource than the other will continue to dominate the other.
Opinions may differ but I firmly believe that rampant cultivation and use of opium in Myanmar is the major factor that have led to this present situation. With my country India and China as a neighbor, the people of Myanmar could have had the best of both.
Only the SINCERE and COLLECTIVE EFFORTS of our NEW DELHI and BEIJING will have a SIGNIFICANT impact to end the crisis of Myanmar.
