I really like the Wong deck with Symbiote. It can free up a slot in Wong's lane. Iron heart seems like a perfect candidate. 24 power buff on board would be crazy.

Hey Docty, is symbiote Spider-Man just a buffed phoenix force ?? They do similar a thing but symbiote Spider-Man does it better for more power? Plus in a phoenix force/Nimrod list, symbiote Spider-Man will synergy with the deck as a whole rather than just with the move side of the deck? The only thing you’d be missing out on is the ability to move each turn but I think it’s a fair trade for better synergy with the whole deck
Arishem has hardly been nerfed at all IMO, my man. Yeah they added some more cards to increase the "randomness" however, it's amazing how often I face an Arishem who can now play Loki on turn 1, and now with the new way Loki works, the Arishem deck gets smaller, making its main counters, Cass Nova and Darkhawk, dramatically weaker against it. But I digress, looking forward to this next season, but also nervous lol. Also the "zoo wee mama" I used to hate, but it's grown on me 😆
Agreed, Arishem and Loki stayed strong after nerfs so Symbiote Spider-Man would likely be good even if they nerfed him after release 👍 And welcome to the Zoo-Wee-Mama community🐙
Symbiote might be the only way to reactivate your other activate cards. We’re not sure yet if beast will allow you to use activate a second time. Those Arana / human torch decks people are hyped about might be slowed down having to play symbiote on 4.
I'm thinking a little outside the box. SSM is going into my Cerebro-6 homebrew. He covers one of the only weakneases in the deck--Cerebro being 0 power.
I think they specifically worded it as "like it just revealed" so that it will also reset any Activate abilities to be used again. So as of release it will not only be the only way to replenish a used Activate ability, but the value of it will also increase as the Activate pool grows.
I haven't missed a season pass since Miles Morales (my first season in the game). If you play this game it is no brainer not to get it every month in order to enjoy it at its fullest. Also, cheers Docty!
The fact that the “activate” effect can trigger after an on-reveal is wild, making SSM super busted imo. Just a few examples: • T4: SSM, T5: Hobgoblin, T6: Galactus + SSM activate can result in an 11-power Galactus play. • T4: SSM, T5: Sandman, T6: Doctor Doom + SSM activate can spread 25 power across the board, even when you can only play one card. Especially with the Sandman deck proving to be very competitive, I believe this combo will definitely become a reality. Overall, I think clog card(Debrii, WhiteWidow) will become very important to stop SSM’s crazy combo in the next season.
SSM wouldn't be able to merge with Unrevealed cards so he couldn't merge with Galactus before Galactus flips over (he wouldn't trigger since there is another card on the lane) and he couldn't merge with Doctor Doom if the merge happens on turn 6 before Doctor Doom reveals. The Activate timing is really important and somewhat limiting, but I'm sure people will adjust and find the best combos👍
@@docty_snap That’s not true. The developer has already confirmed that the triggering order can be sequenced by your play order. So if you stage the card first and then tap to trigger the activate, the activate effect will happen after that card revealed. That’s why SSM will be wild!

Symbiote spiderman on negasonic OP? I’m not fully on board that’s a 3 and 4 cost to win a lane with some counterplay like summoning that only looks about as strong as storm into Jessica Jones to me.
Does activate happen at the start of the turn or in like, order of when you click it vs. cards played? Because if you can venom a lane on 3, play symbiote on 4, then on 5 place nimrod in the lane and THEN click symbiote to activate him, all before pressing End Turn, then nimrod would reveal, and THEN symbiote merges with venom and activates him…. That feels really good 😅

You missed few very busted combos. Especially broken will be Black Panther. Imagine 5/8 becoming 5/28 and winning a whole lane and then you can use on turn 6 Taskmaster or Zola. Also, Shuri, Surfer and Ironheart will be very good targets for him.
@@simonb4689 I meant that he should have mentioned him specifically when he was talking about key synergies and also when he made decks. Logically Black Panther should have been on the screen and his deck should have been mentioned.
Symbiote Spider-Man doesn't merge with cards the way that other merge effects do. He essentially deletes the card, adds that card's Power to his own, and then COPIES the card's effect and the game treats the result as a brand new card. So 100% sure that it will refresh NTW.

Honestly I'm not sure about him. I feel like being a four cost is more of a hindrance. I feel like his best deck is going to be in destroy. For me I don't see him being good. New or not, I don't see him being that useful.

Loki is dramatically weaker now, even in Arishem. People apparently can't do math; they just see turn one Loki and assume that it's better.

Symbiote Spider-Man doesn't care about his own power - he will always merge with something if there is another card present.

It will work because Negasonic's text is copied and Negasonic gets deleted from the game. It's completely different from bouncing Negasonic.
